Bengals are done. Not only are they 0-2, but both those were at home. If they lose in green bay this week, things will get ugly in the queen city. They will lose.

Two of the 3 of Oakland, Denver and KC will make. There's a good chance all 3 make it. Miami is out, Baltimore is out. I'll say Pittsburgh is out too. Eff it, it's gonna be an AFC West kind of playoffs. |

the clowns or the bungles aren't winning shit SOMEONE has to get to the playoffs outta that mess. As for the NFC east, whomever finishes 2nd will likely be a 9-7 team. I think the entire NFC is wide open and theres about 9-10 teams that could make the SB. Only 4 AFC teams have a realistic shot.

no one from the 0-2 list showing much promise at this point. But one or more of them will likely remember how to win (Bengals, Giants.) or get a key player back from injury (Colts) or injury/poor performance leads to a change of QB that gives them a spark (Bears).
As for the 2-0 teams, injuries will start to pile up and ruin a team's chances but too early to predict that. Carolina with the Olsen injury and shaky Cam Newton play so far a good candidate not to make the playoffs. Miami a good bet with the QB job being in Cutler's hands now. Detroit's fate depends on how good/bad their division plays. Baltimore can never stay healthy enough it seems to be a serious threat. Someone's gotta win that division though and not looking like the Ohio teams at the moment. Denver has the shakiest QB at the moment, so if he fails they are least likely of the three West teams to make the playoffs I think.

"If" they lose? GB is a better team than they showed against ATL and they are pissed off...I'll be surprised if they let CIN within 10 points. If CIN were to beat em, things would get quite ugly in Titletown too!

Here's my thinking: Arizona's out of it. Seattle's offense is not good, and it's only a matter of time before Wilson gets injured behind that line. Rams are better but not quite there. 49ers have a young coach getting his sea legs, and the team will improve as the year goes on. 8-8 or 9-7 to win the division. |

Maybe I'll amend it. Whoever wins tonight out of Rams/49ers will win the NFC West. Last edited by albionmoonlight : 09-21-2017 at 03:49 PM. |

I'll go farther and say that 7-9 or maybe even 6-10 might be enough to win the NFC West. Rams and Niners are on the way up, but not there yet.

None of the 0-2 teams make it. They're all just that bad.
Of the 2-0 group, I think it's safe to say Miami, Carolina, and Baltimore don't make it. Tampa is not only going to make it, they're going to win the NFC South. |

It's still weird seeing "2-0" next to "Detroit".
I mean what does it say about the franchise when Jim Caldwell has the highest win percentage of any coach since the 1950s?

While I think you're spot on that the division is a lot weaker than we thought, I think that rumors of Seattle's demise are greatly exaggerated at this point. I think Arizona has further to go, but could also get better. The Rams...I'll believe it when I see it, but they have improved a ton and I like their upside better than the 49ers. The 49ers just don't have much talent. Their O-Line is atrocious, Garcon just isn't all that exciting as a #1 WR, and Hoyer is the definition of sub-par. The defense has some talent, but Bowman is not nearly the player he was and the youngsters need a lot of time to grow. I have a hard time finding 5 wins on their schedule, let alone 7-8. |

Also, discounting the turnovers which were more or less even with results, the Rams prolonged several Niners drives with 3rd down penalties. Plus, the Rams turnovers were more boneheaded than the Niners ones. I see the Rams with much more immediate upside than the Niners. Plus, I trust in Wade to get the defense fixed. |
