Ping: Everybody
I'm cleaning out the Gamenikki Bin O' Stuff, since there's some games that have been in there since, well, forever.
Going to give first dibs to the guys on staff, but as most of them just got sent a bigass package of games to actually review, I do expect that most, if not all, of what's going on this list will be up for grabs. Gamenikki'ers, I won't stop any of you from writing a review on anything you claim, but it's seriously not expected. I just need to get these vacated from the Bin O' Stuff so I have room for the incoming stuff this holiday. Everybody in general, only thing I ask is that if you claim something, kick in a couple bucks to help with shipping costs (Paypal address is [email protected]). Include a note that tells me who you are and what you claimed. Games available PC: Pirates of the Caribbean: Legend of Jack Sparrow El Matador Zoo Tycoon 2: Endangered Species RF Online City of Villains Nintendo DS: HiHi Puffy Amiyumi: The Genie & The Amp GameBoy Advance: Juka and the Monophonic Menace Naruto: Ninja Council Naruto: Ninja Council 2 GameCube: Naruto: Clash of Ninja Naruto: Clash of Ninja 2 Xbox: Rainbow Six: Critical Hour Crusty Demons 25 To Life Commandos: Strike Force Last edited by SackAttack : 11-29-2007 at 02:33 AM. |

Oops. Ignore that. Xbox version got named Critical Hour, confusing me.

Zoo Tycoon 2 is a fun game (similar to Rollercoaster Tycoon), if anyone is into games like that.

Worth pointing out that Endangered Species is an expansion, though, so don't claim it unless you either have Zoo Tycoon 2, or don't mind snagging it at retail so you can enjoy the expansion.

I know it won't cost me any more than $9.60. That's what it cost to send an assload of games to my writers via flat rate the other day. I'd imagine what I'll do is weigh stuff on the postal scale to get an idea of what normal priority would cost on PC games, and then decide whether it'll be cheaper to go straight priority or flat rate priority.
Console/handheld games can fit in padded envelopes better than PC games can, so I'll probably give those folks a choice on how they want it shipped, since that's got some cheaper options. |

that $9.60 rate on flat rate is per box with delivery confirmation, incidentally. Just to stave off confusion.

A single game in a priority envelope (which should be sufficient) should only be about 4-5 bucks. From my days of selling DVDs and stuff on ebay. You could send it cheaper even and use media mail. Let me know because I'd like to send you more money if the shipping costs more. |

Yeah, just a single Xbox game, 4-5 would be plenty. It could go either priority in an unpadded envelope, or first class in a padded envelope, and the net cost would be basically the same.

Last chance, guys.
Those of you who have put claims in but haven't sent shipping $ via PayPal yet, this would be a good time to do so. |

No need to apologize. Just noting that some pulled the trigger, and some have yet to. For those who have yet to, the time to rock 'n roll is now.

Just a note, guys - I have a 'personal' Paypal account, which has limits on the number of credit-card or debit-card payments I can receive per year.
Didn't affect any of the five who have already claimed and paid (since only two of 'em paid that way), but it's something to be aware of going forward. |

Ramzavail - that's partly why this stuff is being cleared out of the Bin O' Stuff. It never got covered, and is mostly so dated as to not even bother at this point.

Thanks SA, I was just wondering today what was going on with this. It will be something to look forward to in the mail. I really don't want to be greedy, but this thread isn't exactly new anymore. If you don't have anyone to dump off the GBA games, I would easily take them off your hands. If you just want to limit it to 2 that's ok, or just the Naruto games, or whatever. I don't play them but I know that my son would enjoy them quite a bit. They are right up his alley. Thanks again, and let me know.

I don't mind. Let's give it a couple days just in case there are some stragglers, but I'd imagine your son will get the hook-up there.

Dola:
Crapshoot, I was just looking at the BC list since it got updated this week, and I'm noticing "Rainbow Six: Lockdown" listed separately from "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Yadda Yadda," and I'm wondering if maybe somebody had the same mental brainfart I did and simply typed in the wrong title. I've contacted Microsoft to try to get some clarification there. Let me know if you're still interested, just in case. |

No worries. the MS help desk was typically obtuse after the first email, thinking that me asking "Is Lockdown a typo, or was there actually a Lockdown for Xbox?" was actually "Where can I find the backwards compatibility list?" When I berated them for lack of reading comprehension, they sent me a link to the xbox.com page for Lockdown, so there were actually two different games there. We didn't receive Lockdown Xbox, which is compatible, but we did receive Critical Hour, which is not. Sorry 'bout that. |

I got mine to day SA, thanks for going through the trouble to do this. Seeing what the shipping cost, I will get you some more $ or send you the balance if you end up sending the GBA games this way.

Anyone snag the Zoo Tycoon: Endagered Species? My daughter loves Zoo Tycoon and I am pretty sure she doesn't have that expansion pack. I didn't see anyone in here say they wanted it but maybe they did via PM.
The DS game might be cool too, the kid is getting one for X-mas. I need to see what the hell that game is though....goggle time.
