The Antony Launce Story....(BBCF Dynasty)
Coach Antony Launce a former LB from UTEP, graduated from Orange High School in Orange, New Jersey, where he became an All-American and was rated as a 4 star recruit. At UTEP, he managed to be a 2 year starter, but injuries removed any chance for him to move on to the NFL, so he took the next best thing, and that was to move on, into coaching.
He started his coaching stint as he worked as a Graduate Assistant at UTEP, moved on as a LB Coach at the University of Idaho, from there he promoted to the DC for the Vandals. Although his defense wasn’t solid, it was the loyalty and fire that he instilled within his players that made him the top candidate for NIU. Obviously Antony’s goal at NIU is to build a dominant winning program, but ideally, he would like to move on to a bigger school, preferably one that is in a BCS conference. This is his story, one that you can ride the rollercoaster of emotions and success of a Div 1 football coach.

The Interview, The Press, The Stadium
You would think with a day that was supposed to be happy for Northern Illinois and their Alumni, the weather would want to agree with them, however, the rain managed to continue to pour, ruining their hopes of introducing their new coach on the Football Field, however, this press announcement will still take place at the Stadium, it’s where Antony wanted it to. Sitting under a press tent, inside the West Stadium bleachers, Antony is fielding questions from the press. “Coach Launce, what do you feel are the teams current strengths and weaknesses?” “Since you spent a lot of time recruiting in the west, will you use that area as your prime recruiting grounds, or are you going for the local athletes around here?” “Do you see Ball State as a major threat to this program in your first year here?” “Your predecessor left you a big mess academically, are you going to work on cleaning it up?” Antony clears his throat, and fields the questions in a quick plausible manner, pausing as he gathers his thoughts, making sure that the press doesn’t twist his words, and assist in wrecking his already precious and delicate program. “Well, Lets tackle these questions one at a time. Our first focus is this, we will build this program up to a solid and strong program where our athletes are all solid students and citizens, I will not tolerate people slacking off on their academics, or their workouts.” “as for Ball State, we should be able to match up with them. I understand they are a heated and hated rival, and I plan on taking this team out behind the woodshed, and run the score up on them as much as I can.” “Now, onto the team”

"Our team has some talent, but not in the areas where we truly want it to be, I am keeping the current staff on, as I do not want to rock the boat to much." stated Antony.
"Our QB situation is decent with Jessie Hart looking like he will be our starter, however, we will see how our camps pan out." He reaches down, and takes a drink from his water glass, setting it aside. "Our running back situation is a case of talent there, but it hasn't been groomed properly, and I hope to rectify this, some of the youth there, might move on to other positions, or even see themselves off the team if they don't shape it. This is probably one of our deeper areas, yet, it has also been one of our more problematic ones." The tone of the room has changed from a happy, we have this new coach atmosphere to somewhat of a board room feel as this man, is laying it all out on the line and he senses it. "I hope you have no problems in the media with what I am saying, this is the pure truth, and this is basically the same talk I gave the administration during my interview." "Onto our Receivers, a young talented crop that we can groom into a nice threat for the opposing teams, it may take a while to get them adjusted the offensive style I want to run, but when they understand it, we can be explosive. We have a young freshman, Vaughn who should be starting here real quick, he is explosive and working hard" "I think the weakest spot we have as a team right now is the Offensive Line, they are big guys, however, they are lazy and have no desire to work, I have noticed this, and we will be bringing in young talented recruits at this position to fill the gaps we will be having once I clear the riff-raff out of here." "Our offense is going to focus on a vertical passing game, we will use the pass, to set up our running game, will it work this year...it should, however, don't expect us to light the scoreboard up this season, as we are growing, and learning as a team." He then takes his papers and shuffles them around, to ensure he has his proper notes. "Onto the D line, we have 2 solid players with Koy and Mueller, and our talent is there, we just need to bring it out, and I will be assisting our Defensive staff in molding the teams defense, we will be aggressive, we will be hard hitting, we will attack, and we will not stop. Our goal, is total speed to the ball, and when we get there, we will bring attitude with us." "Boylan and Markham are our two best linebackers and quality leaders of the team, they have the attitude I love right now, and I am encouraging their growth, Boylan has informed me he plans on going out with a bang, and I want to ensure this happens. We definately have some great youth on this squad, we just have to mold them, and the ones we can't work with, we will replace." Sensing the conclusion of this meeting, he starts to pick up pace "Our defensive backs, we want speed, and we want tenacity. Gugliemi showcases both, and he is the only one in this group that does, we will get beat deep this year, I will say that now. But as O'Donnell and Freeman grow at the Strong Saftey position, the defense I am implementing the 4-2-5 will shine. They will be relentless at stunting and hitting the QB. They will ensure the backs out will be covered and hit hard, they have promised and guranteed such. They love the philosphy I am bringing, and I love the fact they are embracing it." With that, he gets up from his podium, grabbing his notes, and water glass, and walks out. "Ladies and Gentlemen, that marks the end of the press conference, and we welcome you all to sit back and watch the Launce era at NIU."

The Scouting Service
The pounding on the buttons on the phone reverberate through the cold office. "Listen Todd, you guys haven't done much for this school, in helping them find the talent needed in the Midwest, the guys I have, 80% of them wouldn't have started or even seen the light of day at Idaho, you damn well know that NIU has more money and is a better program than they are." "Antony, your predecessor didn't listen to us most of the time, he shot from the hip, it's why your there now, give us a chance, work with us, and you will grow." Todd at Investigators INC., did have a point, and Antony knew this, he just wanted to talk these guys down in price. His budget won't allow him to jump. "You gotta work with me on the price then Todd, You know my area is the west, and I have a great rapport with Steve over at Gridiron, and he has been busting the doors down here, trying to get some of the talent here." "Listen, I will drop the price down to 65, it's the best I can do. " "Great Todd, show me some solid youth this season, you know where I need it, if it doesn't pan out, I have to move on." A small satisfied smile displays across Antony's lips, he got them down, and now he had his scouting service settled, time to work on the rest of his budget. He grabs his pad of paper, and moves on into his conference room, where the rest of his staff is there.

The Budget
As he walks into the room, the staff discussions quickly come to an end, Antony thought he might have heard some golf talk, maybe even some discussion about the Cubs and White Sox, and it dawned upon him, that these guys really don't know a lot about him, and maybe he needs to open up a bit to the staff. "First things first. Gentlemen, lets set up a round of golf Friday for lunch." Some sure things emitted, and the energy picked up in the room. "Well, we have Todd and Investigators Inc., on board, we have them at a lower price than previously negotiated with the school, so the next step is to focus on where we want to allocate funds for the year." "In regards to recruiting, I think we need to focus on the OL and DB's pretty big time, however it wouldn't hurt us to find a top notch running back either. So my proposals are such." "First of all, regionally, I want to max out our money here locally and in the West, I will suggest the mid for the Atlantic East, because you might find a few diamonds in the rough there. Just spend the minimum in the Southeast because quite frankly, their are to many people fighting over the recruits there. And lets go mid on the Great plains" "As for our position basis, right now, we have a decent young group at Receiver, so we can keep the miniumum there, but I want the max in OL, DB, and with all other positions, I want the mid range numbers." Everyone around the table seems to nod with approval and several sound goods eminate from the discussion. "Now I think we can do the following for staff costs. Take the final 30,000 and split it between medical and academic tutors while keeping the strength & conditioning the same."

Meeting with the AD
You could see the tension etched on Antony's face as he walked the hall towards the AD's office, he knew what the expectations were coming in, but since then, the Alumni have voiced their opinions as has the board. So he didn't know what to expect going into this meeting. On top of that, the press conference generated a myriad of positive and negative responses, including parents of the current players calling for his resignation already, Antony thought to himself, "They were the kind of parents that tried to strong arm, correction, strong armed their kids starting spot on the Pee Wee team, junior high and high school, and now they expect the same here. " "Coach Launce, Mr. Brooks is waiting for you" Elizabeth, Lee Brooks secretary piped out. She was an older woman, one that you could tell was brought in here to keep the angry young men from yelling at the AD, let the coach deal with it obviously. She escorted him through the old wooden doors into Mr. Brooks office. "Antony, take a seat" pointed Lee as he settled into his large leather chair. "I trust everything is starting to settle down for you?" "Sure thing, I am starting to work better with the current staff, and they are finally understanding where I want to go with this team, and I think I have them buying into it." Nice to hear, well, you know why your here, the expectations of the school has changed a bit since we hired you. After the discussion, and looking at the teams in the Mid-American, we definately feel you can finish within the top 3, and if you beat Ball State, or just compete against them, you will keep your job" The calm demeanor on the outside started to crack "What do you mean, I will keep my job, I was guranteed a 4 year contract with the understanding that this team has a lot of work, this is bullshit Lee." "Listen, your stunt of ripping some of the athletes in the press conference didn't help matters, and ripping into the academics of this institution didn't help you with the board. You know what you need to do, so do it." "Great, and I don't suppose I get any additional funds to do this with right?" "Afraid not, the board pegged you for 1.8 million, and you have spent it, good luck coach, we are counting on you." Obviously, this was meant to end the conversation, and Antony looked at him, this guy could run an athletic department worth a damn, and the sports teams rankings and results hasn't helped him out much. But damn him, if he thinks I will go down with him......

The Schedule
Antony sat in his office, looking over his schedule, the need to fill up 4 slots with non conference opponents is there, now the question is, does he feed them to the wolves, or schedule light, or push for the middle. Looking it over he makes his decision, and starts to dial the phone. "Thank you for calling University of Idaho, where may I direct your call please" "Chad McCords office please" "Mr. McCords office, this is Rhonda." "Rhonda! How are you, this is Antony, is Chad in?" "Antony, things are good, how are things in Illinois? Chad is on a call that he is almost through with. Let me send him an instant message, and let him know you are here." "Things are bumpy here, my style seemed to upset some people around here." "You tend to do that...well, Chad is ready for you, take care Antony" "Antony, hows things in head coach land?" "Decent here Chad, It seems I have upset some people with my style." "Well, you tend to do that." "Rhonda said the same thing. Listen, I am trying to set up my schedule, and would love to see Idaho out here on Week 1, what do you think about that?" "I wish you would have called me earlier, I just locked up our schedule, that was the call I was on with. What about next year?" "If I am here next year, look for a home/away offer coming." "Great, take care Antony" "You to Chad" Antony's phone calls were like that throughout the next couple of weeks mixed in with congratulations on the job as well as some friendly advice. But he was able to convince some decent programs to play. Frank Spence at Boise State agreed to travel and play the Huskies at home for Week 1. While Jim Fowler at Michigan State agreed to a home/away package with the Huskies travelling to Michigan State in Week 3. Week 14 will see a trip to Rutgers where Dick Carr agreed to play the Huskies and Terry Williams of Arkansas State agreed to travel to play the Huskies on Week 15, with the schedule set, The NIU Huskies are looking at the following. Week 1 Boise State Week 2 BYE Week 3 at Michigan State Week 4 at Kent State Week 5 at Ball State Week 6 Bowling Green Week 7 at Buffalo Week 8 Eastern Michigan Week 9 Toledo Week 10 at Western Michigan Week 11 BYE Week 12 Central Michigan Week 13 BYE Week 14 at Rutgers Week 15 Arkansas State

The Redshirts, The Cuts....A Day of Reckoning
"Gentlemen, thanks for meeting with me today, it's not going to be a good day for several players, it may make the day of others, as I am now going to discuss who should be cut, and who we will redshirt." QB's: Cut Roe Redshirt both Rooths and Russell Halfbacks We will redshirt Cooper, he has the potential for us to blossom, and we need to cut Robinson, I would cut Green, but it will leave us thin here. Fullbacks We can't do much here. Receivers We will redshirt Rogers, I wish I could cut Monroe, but that will hurt the roster numbers. Tight Ends Cut Whitted, and that is final. Tackles Quite frankly, we suck here. We are going to cut Hart, Thompson, and Scott. Guards We will cut Hankton, I would do more, but we need the depth. Center Our hands are tied here with depth. Defensive Ends We are going to redhsirt Olds and Eason Defensive Tackles We are cutting Clarke.... Inside Linebackers I want to redshirt Ofodile.....we need to work this unit hard, they all have ability. Outside Linebackers We are going to cut Zolak, Moore, and Brooks. And we will redshirt Scales. Cornerbacks Cut Meyer and I would do more, but we will be left thin here. Saftey Our hands are tied here as well, next season some of these guys will be gone. Kicker/Punter Let these guys duke it out. Our final roster for the start of the season will look like this.....

Week 1 - Boise State
Gameday Preparations Glancing over his weekly scouting report on a team, Antony reads through it. Boise runs a West Coast offense with the TE being their best player. Their OL is decent, but can potentially be a weakness for them. As for their defense, the Broncos run a 3-4 and rely on ILB leadership and theor LB's will be the strength and carry the defense. "Where can we exploit this team, where can we attack this squad." He thinks. Then he slowly starts to work on his strategies for the week. He figures he wants to go with a normal gameplan this week, just to see what his team can do with his offense. Obviously his passing will have to work underneath and force the backers to come up and make plays, as well as going deep, and make sure the DB's can't work against our WR's. All runs will be working on grinding between the tackles and guards, with some going up the gut and a few to the outside. Looking at this West Coast Offense, the best thing to do defensively would be to focus on stopping the pass, and force them to beat the Huskies on the ground. With the 4-2-5, Antony realizes we have to spot the TE and make sure he doesn't exploit the seams or the zone hole. However, the multiple blitzes should force the mistakes to help out coverage on the pass. Finishing up his strategies for the game, Antony reaches over to the Manilla folder from Investigators INC., and he takes a peak at what they have for the week. Top 25 - Weekly
Recruits Following the top 25 polls, Antony notices a breakout of the recruits, with bright yellow highlighter showing some of the better recruits with average or better interest into the NIU program. Southeast: Average Ranking - QB I. Hodel - 6'1" 202 lbs - Obion County Central - Tennessee - No Stats until Week 4 Midwest: Very Good Raking - RB A. Fauria - 5'10" 164 lbs - Chicago Military Academy - Illinois - No Stats Until Week 4 Good Ranking - WR C. Johnson - 6'3" 189 lbs - Dupo - Illinois - No Stats Until Week 4 Good Ranking - DT R. Holloway - 6'7" 271 lbs - Carlyle - Illinois - No Stats Until Week 4 Good Ranking - TE H. PIckard - 6'5" 255 lbs - Grayslake- Illinois - No Stats Until Week 4 Looks like the recruiting is going to be challanging to Antony, he never thought it would be this rough, running his hands through his hair, he plants his hands on top of his desk, takes a deep breath, and pushes himself up, and heads to the locker room. Time for the talk. Game Results - Breakdown "Gentlemen, it's a new era here at NIU, one where no one out there has faith, trust or any kind of inkling we can win, or even give a fair showing to any of the teams. It's our job to prove them wrong." The silence through the room is amazing, it's as if the collective group has held their breath. "Boise has stated in the papers they expect this game to be the equivalent of a scrimmage, I want you to think upon that as you march out of here and to the field. I want you to envision how it would be to hand this team a heavy dose of humble pie, and especially, I want you to think about what it would be like to start this season with a win." Coach Launce looks across the room, with all eyes focused on him, he continues. "Now a win here will come from the heart, and what I mean is this. We will call the plays, and set you up in the situations that you can score, move the ball, even obliterate an opposing player, it's your decision, to take what we offer you, and push yourselves even further. It's your decision when you are wore down in the 4th quarter to reach down and find a heart, gut it out, and win this game. Gentlemen, I ask you to give me all you have and then some. I ask you to smother this Boise team to where they choke on their own crow, and I ask you, that we end this day with a win." He finishes the speech pumping his fist in the air, and the room erupts in eager anticipation and excitement as this new NIU team takes the field.

I like the dynasty so far, but sorry to ask...did you have another alias? It seems that after almost 3,000 posts i should know you by know. Sorry to be rather blunt on that matter, and either way best of luck with the dynasty!

Boise State Breakdown
"What can I say gentlemen, they wanted it more! We recovered 5 fumbles, and only managed 2 FG's, granted 2 were missed. It is a good thing this is a non conference game, and we can work on some adjustments. You played a hell of a game." What could he say, Boise had more heart, not much more, but more. The hitting in the game was brutal, his guys had some fire and anger, hence the 5 caused fumbles, you just don't hold a ball when your teeth are rattling inside your head. Game Film review He didn't have much to say, he was jotting down his notes on the positive play. Knowing he had to focus on the good of the game, not the negative. He had to correct that part, and he would do it nice and smooth in practice. He noticed his star players were right where he thought they would be. Obviously Jessie had a good game, only throwing 1 INT, and moving the ball decently. In the backfield Bostic was the shocker as he racked up an avg of 8.3 YPC. In the Receivers, freshman Vaugh and Junior Lloyd did quite well keeping their YPC above 10, which is needed in this offense. Defensively, the squad did quite well, until the screw ups from the offense put a ton of weight on their shoulders and they finally collapsed. It's a good thing that he has a free week to correct all the problems. Study Hall Hours Grabbing the email printout from the academic advisement office, he starts to go through who is on probabtion and it isn't to good. He knew it would be like this though, but to see the starters on here is definately one to set the fuel. DE Mueller DE Koy RB Moore SS Purnell C Matthews All of them starters, all need around 3 additional hours of study hall. Meanwhile, several backups are on the list as well. FS Green SS Freeman WR Keithley OT Price ILB Tait FB Baxter DE Olds The 2nd stringers will get 2 additional hours of study while the 3rd stringers and reserves should see around 1 hour. Inuries Pouring over the depth charts it looks like some changes need to be made. RB Moore, the starter is injured with a torn tendon in his toe, his is out from 4 to 6 weeks. Antony will move Bostic into the starting spot and sink Moore to 3rd. At Left Tackle, both Elling and Price are injured with Price able to play if called upon, Elling is out due to a pulled quad. Defensively, you have DE Mueller that has a pulled quad, but he can play if needed, however Norris will get the nod.

Week 3 - Michigan State
The news isn't really getting better this week for Coach Launce, he just had the AD hand deliver 3 suspension notices. From: AD Lee Brooks Subject: Northern Illinois academic eligibility report The following Northern Illinois players are now suspended: RB Jim Moore WR Michael Keithley OT Buford Price Moore and Price are both injured starters, it hurts to have them injured and suspended, now Antony has some injured psyche to deal with here as well. But the one thing he will do, is let Price know that what he has done is unacceptable, he has left the team in a bind with his selfishness. This is because of the weekly injury report he glanced over earlier from the training staff: From: Training staff Subject: Weekly injury report Weekly injury report RB Jim Moore is really hampered by an injury to his Toe (Torn Tendon). He could play as an absolute last resort, but we would strongly advise against it. OT Isaac Elling is struggling with an injury to his Quadriceps (Pulled Muscle). He is able to play this weekend, but I don't think he would be anywhere close to 100%. The smart move would be to let him sit and check again next week. OT Buford Price is recovering from an injury to his Foot (Broken). He seems to be progressing well and we recommend playing him this week. DE Ken Mueller is currently battling an injury to his Quadriceps (Pulled Muscle). He is getting better and able to play, but you might want to sit him out one more week. So now, Antony moves to his computer, and starts typing an email up to the academic tutors, assigning 2 more study hours for the following players: G Stablein RB Moore RB Cooper WR Keithley T Price Glancing over the week 3 Polls
Game Results - Breakdown "Not much to say here gents, we are underdogs. We have heard nothing but how Michigan State will take us out behind the wood shed, and go to town. I would love for us to prove everyone wrong, but right now, the way we have been practicing, the way we played last week, the 25 points that vegas has set for the spread on this game, I think Michigan State will get it." He survey's the room, the shock is leaving the teams faces as what he just said registered, then the anger has hit. "Prove me, Prove them all wrong. Prove the world wrong. That anger you feel, carry it as a chip on your shoulder, go out there, and prove it."

Week 3 Michigan State - Breakdown
WOW! what a game. His boys almost pulled it off. Coach Launce is sitting on his desk, looking at the various requests for interviews, ESPN, FOX Sports, NY Times, and USA Today to name a few. The world witnessed a birth in this game. One that he hopes carries over into the conference play. The offense cut through Michigan States defense quite easily, in fact, looking at the film report from the coaching staff was a pleasant surprise. Vaughn came into his own and will be a threat for the next 3 years here. Looking at the OL and the gap Price left us in, Goss gave up 4 sacks. Not bad, but he definately needs more work. Defensively, the team was ball hawking again, although some lack of discipline gave up big plays and let Michigan State back in the game. Week 4 - at Kent State
Antony strolls through the halls towards his office. "What a tiring week" He thought to himself, hopefully the Michigan State game was just a glimmer of hope of what is to come. "Good Morning Coach" said a smiling figure behind the desk. Bridgette his graduate assistant has been a blessing, she had managed a lot for him since he took over this team. "Morning Bridgette" "The weekly reports are on your desk" "Thanks" He closes the door and takes a seat, grabbing the top most paper, the injury report. From: Training staff Subject: Weekly injury report Weekly injury report RB Jim Moore is really hampered by an injury to his Toe (Torn Tendon). He could play as an absolute last resort, but we would strongly advise against it. WR Ray Parris is recovering from an injury to his Foot (Complete Ligament Tear). He seems to be progressing well and we recommend playing him this week. OT Isaac Elling is struggling with an injury to his Quadriceps (Pulled Muscle). He is able to play this weekend, but I don't think he would be anywhere close to 100%. The smart move would be to let him sit and check again next week. OG Chris Geason will not be playing this week because of his Ankle (Complete Ligament Tear). We are making good progress, though, so keep monitoring him over the next few weeks. DE Ken Mueller is currently battling an injury to his Quadriceps (Pulled Muscle). He is getting better and able to play, but you might want to sit him out one more week. "Well, this report obviously hasn't changed much from last week" he thought. The next two papers he glances at are the weekly polls.....
Recruit Information Looks like the boys at Investigators INC., has sent something over.... Southeast: Average Ranking - QB I. Hodel - 6'1" 202 lbs - Obion County Central - Tennessee 55%, 700 yards, 5 TD's, 1 INT, 231 yards rushing Midwest: Very Good Raking - RB A. Fauria - 5'10" 164 lbs - Chicago Military Academy - Illinois 378 rushing yards, 5.5 ypc, 2 TD's, 19 tackles, 1 sack Good Ranking - WR C. Johnson - 6'3" 189 lbs - Dupo - Illinois 17 receptions, 257 yards receiving, 4 td's, 74 rushing yards Good Ranking - DT R. Holloway - 6'7" 271 lbs - Carlyle - Illinois 17 tackles, 2 sacks, 4 tfl, 1 ff, 1 INT Good Ranking - TE H. PIckard - 6'5" 255 lbs - Grayslake- Illinois 7 Receptions, 104 yards, 1 td West: Average Ranking - QB L. Bettis - 6'2" 199 lbs - Keystone Academy - Nevada 64%, 1048 yards, 7 td's, 1 INT, 228 rushing yards. Scratching his head, this Bettis kid is a new addition to the new report, and he might be a diamond in the rough, will definately keep an eye on him. Game Results - Breakdown Walking into the locker room, everyone is quiet, waiting for coach to talk. He takes his position in the middle of the room. "Well, as we can tell, the world took notice last week, you played your hearts out. But guess what, that was last week, and we have to do it again this week. And this time it is the start of our conference. We want to win the conference, we have to win every single game. We have to force mistakes like we have been. We have to step up a notch, and play like every game is our last. Get out there, and win"

"The defense played outstanding, we only racked up 2 sacks, however, the pressure on the QB kept him from being able to throw the ball in a rhythm. One thing I have noticed is that they are making crucial mistakes and it is killing us. This game was closer than it should be because of dumb penalties. Make sure they change"

Just curious if anyone would like me to continue to post the game logs or not. I don't know if it adds to the Dynasty or not for you.
Let me know, so I can get the Kent State game log up.

Week 5 - at Ball State
The heated rivalry, this one is big to Antony, his first rivalry game as a head coach. He had participated in the rally's worked over a car for raising money for charity, but his focus had to be on the team and the game. So here he sits, in his office, rifling through the weekly reports as he always does. Not knowing why he cares about the top 25, as NIU isn't even in it.
The one disconcerting report he begins to look at is the injury report. He upgraded the staff and facilities for this sort of situation, and now, it looks like it isn't working. From: Training staff Subject: Weekly injury report Weekly injury report RB Jim Moore is saddled with an injury to his Toe (Torn Tendon). His performance would certainly suffer if you played him so we recommend letting have a little more time to get back closer to 100%. FB Willie Harris is struggling with an injury to his Shoulder (Subluxation). He is able to play this weekend, but I don't think he would be anywhere close to 100%. The smart move would be to let him sit and check again next week. OG Wendell Stablein is trying to play through an injury to his Elbow (Fracture). He seems willing to give it a go, but we would recommend giving him another week to recover. DE Rob Koy is trying to play through an injury to his Lower Leg (Bone Bruise). He seems willing to give it a go, but we would recommend giving him another week to recover. DE Ken Mueller is currently battling an injury to his Quadriceps (Pulled Muscle). He is getting better and able to play, but you might want to sit him out one more week. CB Bill Beirne is recovering from an injury to his Pelvis/Hip (Inflammation). He seems to be progressing well and we recommend playing him this week. FS M.C. Green is currently battling an injury to his Kidney (Bruised). He is getting better and able to play, but you might want to sit him out one more week. Basically the training staff is recommending almost every injury to sit, except for Bill Beirne, and he is in there because of his football smarts. Game Results - Breakdown He slowly walks into the locker room, listening to the talk, the Morale is up with the way we played Michigan State and then stomped on Kent State. "I am glad they are where they are at right now" he thought to himself, "let's see if they are ready to dial it up a notch" "Gather around men. Time to take it up, time to ramp it up. I don't think I need to go into history, stories and the past. Quite frankly, I read up on it, and It was starting to get boring, as it kept reading Ball State wins. I think it's time to change the headlines to Huskies rip the throats out of Ball State." "If you step outside of this room thinking that Ball State will not bring it, you might as well turn around and take your pads off. We have great big bullseyes on our chest right now as people think we need to be knocked down a notch. Let us rise above the comments, lets is hawk to the ball, let us shred the spirit of this team, and let us break them early. Let's go!" He yells. The players and staff head out to play a very heated, contested rivalry game.

Ball State Breakdown
"What an awesome game, the boys stayed focus, they knew what they wanted and they fought to get the win." Antony stated to the staff in the film breakdown session. Post-Game Offensive Scouting Report for the Ball State game.
"Bostic took a concussion in his first rush of the game. That shows we are 2 deep and the 2 players were both out. The backups did the best they could but it turned the game into a one sided deal." "Our defense was solid, we kept harrasing the QB, he was slick, and was able to slip away from the pressure."

Week 6 - Bowling Green
"Well, this is definately positive news Lee" Antony said to the AD. AD Lee Brooks felt he should hand deliver the information himself. "It appears they worked their butts off to get back, I think it was the Michigan State game that woke them up." Stated Lee. What Lee was talking about was the reinstatement of RB Jim Moore WR Michael Keithley OT Buford Price Although with the growth of Vaugh and Lloyd, it put Keithley on the outside looking in. But the bad news was mixed in with the good. Looks like Vaughn has been enjoying his new found fame on campus and his GPA is 1.5, looks like we will book 7 extra study hours for him. SS Freeman and OG Geason both get extra study hours as well. "Thanks for dropping the information by Lee, it's appreciated." "No problem coach, nice win against Ball State" As Lee leaves his office, he grabs the injury report from his desk. From: Training staff Subject: Weekly injury report Weekly injury report RB Willie Green is currently battling an injury to his Quadriceps (Strained). He is getting better and able to play, but you might want to sit him out one more week. RB Jim Moore is trying to play through an injury to his Toe (Torn Tendon). He seems willing to give it a go, but we would recommend giving him another week to recover. FB Willie Harris is trying to play through an injury to his Shoulder (Subluxation). He seems to be progressing well and we recommend playing him this week. FS M.C. Green is recovering from an injury to his Kidney (Bruised). He seems to be progressing well and we recommend playing him this week. Some small dings from a hard fought game, the one that he was thankful to not see on here was Bostic. On the recruiting front, no new news has arrived yet. The Top 25 are:

Bad news, I seem to have found a nasty bug in the game. One that is causing this Dynasty to end, and another one to start.
