FOFC Rock Paper Scissors Tournament #1 Official Thread
Hello and welcome to the first ever FOFC Rock! Paper! Scissooooooooooorrrrs!!!! Championship! My name is Guy Smiley and I'm your host for this amazing event!
We've seen our contestant list grow to 21 players for our first tournament. What a turn-out for our debut! So how are we going to widdle these 21 competitors down to the one TRUE RPS CHAMPION? I'm glad you asked!!! First we will divide them into 3 groups of 7 players each. Each player will play the others in their group to 3 points. The 4 players who have the most victories over their opponents at the end of this round robin will advance to round 2! So, who is in what group? Well, here is our official Round 1 Grouping chart! As for the rules, everyone knows them already! But here is a quick overview. Each match will be two players, head-to-head. Player 1 and player 2 will each throw either rock, paper, or scissors. The result is a push if both players make the same throw. If the throws are not the same then the result is decided by the following: ROCK over SCISSORS SCISSORS over PAPER PAPER over ROCK Each time you make a throw that defeat your opponent's throw, you score one point. The first player to score 3 points gains the victory in that match. The groupings are made, you must play every player in your group one time so, players, you may begin submitting your throws IMMEDIATELY! Please use the following format: Please submit 7 throws for each player in your group. For instance if I were PLAYER1 in a 7 player group, I might submit something that looks like this: PLAYER2: RPSSPSP PLAYER3: PSSPPRR PLAYER4: SPPRPPS PLAYER5: RRPPSSP PLAYER6: RPPRSSP PLAYER7: SSPPRRS of course using the appropriate players' names instead of PLAYER#. Submit your entries to me (MJ4H) via PRIVATE MESSAGE. As soon as I have all 7 entries for a group, I will post the results IN DRAMATIC FASHION!! ARE YOU READY TO GET FUNKY??? LET'S DO IT! |

We will try to do that when we can have a smaller group. Unfortunately, we had 21 players so I had to make 7 person groups which means a lot more games. I am planning to do one at a time games in round 2. Round 1 would take forever to do that way with the current setup. Sorry about that. |

Need about 6 more entries for round 1. Will see if they trickle in today and if not I will set a deadline. Looking good so far.

I may have worded that last post poorly. I mean I need 6 more players that are already entered to turn in their moves for the first round. Sorry for the confusion |

Still waiting on 3 players to submit. Unfortunately, it is one in each group, so none of the groups are ready, yet.

Tonight we have live coverage of some of the early matches in Group 1. First up, a tense matchup of two of the favorites to win it all! Our first two competitors are tied for having the best odds of winning in the whole field with 19 other players. How exciting!
hoopsguy VS Neon_Chaos 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 3 AND hoopsguy squeaks out the victory 3-2! |

I have to really question Neon's strategy there. You just can't go to "rock" that often against hoopsguy... he's going to catch on.

Weird how similar our patterns were. MrDNA only won due to homefield advantage!
