August 20th status : Timer Limit ON now

The timer limit is going to be set today (24 hour time limit). I will be disabling it on WE (if I remember) because someone doesn't have internet access on WEs. I will also let the computer pick if an owner misses a pick (hopefully not), it will pick out of Myfantasyleague average draft , so that would still be OK. If an owner doesn't get to me after missing one pick, I will look to replace him, but I don't think we are going to need that.

Hi all,

Welcome to the 2003 Euro FOFC Fantasy Football League.

The main league is created at yahoo (you need to set up a free account there to play).

The draft will be done offline using myfantasyleague.com website
and its great draft features : THE PRE-DRAFT function.
This option allows each owner to pre-select player for the folowing rounds of the draft and
of course helps speed up the draft. I just concluded an 11 round draft (12 teams) in 4 days
using myfantasyleague.com.

As it is summer time, it will be good to know every person availability (and unavailability)
for draft purposes.

I still intend to start the draft ASAP (we can set timer limits up to 24 hours, or we can
disable timer limits depending on people availability and time before week 1 of the NFL).

Once the draft is done at myfantasyleague.com, I (the commish) will import the teams
into yahoo (using the import draft feature).

The Maassluis Anglers general manager is awaiting orders.

Rumors say that the office of the Anglers is seriously concidering to rename the franchise into the New Waterway Tuggers. However the nature of "to tug" might cause the team to be named Tug Boats or some other variation in stead.
The New Waterway name would lead to a wider spread for fans, including about one million people living in Rotterdam and nearby located cities. The new nickname would put the nature of the city back in, as sources say that Maassluis has been a harbour for tug boats over the past century.
Reasons to rename the team were undisclosed, but there is reason to believe the cause lies in the fear of not reaching the playoffs for the third time in succesion. - source: anonymus person from Maassluis


Seriously, because I want to follow the NFL tendency to give franchises corresponding nick names, and since Maassluis' political leaders are seriously concidering to attach a World Tug Boat City tag, I'm thinking of changing the nickname.

Alf, to join the Yahoo! League, I (and others) require the password set.
That is providing you created a custom league.

Second, what is the draft order?
Is it the same order listed at MFL?
It helps a lot to know how many preset names I should set for each round, especially the first round (setting up 8 names, while picking 3rd doesn't make sense).

Hmmm, I might be a bit too lazy to figure out myself, but howdo I set up a pre-draft order for teh 2nd and further rounds?
Setting up for Round 1 goes fine, but the rounds after that , I have no idea how to do that...

For the predraft for further rounds : once you have predraft for round 1 (for example) the system allows you to predraft for round 2, etc...

Draft order : I'd like someone to randomize something for us (somebody already did that a few weks ago). I'll look


I will send global info recap as soon as I have all email addresses : the idea is to start drafting ASAP and then hold the draft when people are on vacation, and resume when they are back. Of course we need to have it completed at least 3-4 days before week 1 of the NFL

Tomlinson was the obvious choice, and Ricky Williams should go 2nd if I understand the drafting thinking correct. The difficult pick should be the third with both Faulk and Holmes question marks.

Alf, like I posted in the other thread, chances are very big I will not be available to draft manually from August 7th until August 16th.

In case needed, I'll make a list of the by me preferred top 150 (whatever number is needed to complete the draft) in time to make it possible for the commish to make my selection in case my pre daft want list have all been scratched down to zero options.

If we can get this draft going at a 1.5 to 2 rounds per day speed, we might get this finished before I go on vacation with my whole family.

In case we are at about 3 rounds left, I'll make sure the predraft function will do its work for my team.

If needed, I will ask another independant FOFCer to make my selections.
