Major complaint about CM4

So I finally start to get into CM4 and what happens?

The game simulates two months without stopping!!! No I was not on a holiday. This is absurd. I lost out on some much team buidling time. Win it finally stopped I had 50 news items! This is crazy.

Is there anyway to stop this?

Also if you hold down your left mouse button for awhile it stops it. Usually works when i have mail.

I click like furious...I'm still ticked off at the transfer market...it shriveled up and died.

The mouse button works when the yellow bar is going across the bottom of the screen. I think it is when the game is "processing" when you can interrupt it.
