(Aussie Rules)AFL 2007 Season Thread (R)

I am now convinced that the West Coast Eagles and Sydney Swans book their matches, wrestling style. The two teams played their third straight 1 point game in the Grand Final Rematch in week 1 of the new AFL season, with the Swans nearly wiping out a 36 point deficit but ending up just short 11.8 (74) to 10.13 (73).

Great Great game. Aussie Rules is one of the major reasons why I watch Setanta Sports so much

I was there, and talk about dissapointing. The Swans played an awful first half - as they tend to do too often - but fought back only to suffer the heartbreaking loss.

As you say though, you couldn't script these things any better. All we need now is another Sydney-WC final in 2007 where the Swans win by 1.

Last year was the first GF I missed in 14 years. Damn!

As a Hawthorn supporter...I am highly embarrassed by the weekend

Especially since there are persistent rumors that Dish Network will now add Setanta in August for the new EPL season

I'd offer the streaming video service the AFL offers, but it's pricy, like $75/year
