If I fall; carry on the flag
FOFC is my little hide away. A forum where the majority of members are educated, articulate, and pleasant. It's true, pat yourself on the back.
But today, as we speak, or type, my department is going through the most ripping audit in the history of mankind. For the next 2 weeks, misery is my company. Sometimes being at the top of the food chain means you get beheaded first.

By the way, this statement is in fact false. You currently have two QOTM's....

I like auditors. They are a hostile audience that has to listen to me. So I am able to keep them up to date on all of the cool, nifty changes I made that my boss doesn't care to know.

Ouch. Makes dental surgery seem fun by comparison. Best of luck Sen.

Yuck, BTDT.
My best lesson learned about hosting auditors is to make them as uncomfortable as possible (worst chairs, tinker with the thermostat, etc). The more comfortable they are, the longer they stay

Yikes, makes my documentation audit (for CMMI purposes) seem minor in comparison (which it in fact is). Best of luck, Senator.

Good luck, Senator...although I always liked the quote in the Canadiens' locker room in the old Forum a bit better:
