OT - US Cities puzzle
I just saw a second-hand reference to this puzzle, but don't know the answer(s) yet. It's one that probably works better before resorting to web-based sources... let's try to do this on our own, at least at first.
What 9 states have their two most populous cities start with the same letter of the alphabet? |

Ohio is an easy one, too - any two of the thre big Cs would work fine.

Isn't Savannah the second biggest city in Georgia? (I have no idea... if it's outside Atlanta it might as well be in Europe here)

This puzzle is rapidly exposing my very shallow knowledge of US geopraphy... I don't even have good guesses for the second-larget cities in several of Fritz's states.
Wyoming - Cheyenne and Casper, maybe? I could buy that. Georgia - Atlanta and Athens? Augusta? Washington - Seattle and Spokane, I suppose. Kentucky - Louisville and Lexington, makes sense to me Alabama - Montgomery and Mobile? That's some fancy shootin', Tex! Last edited by QuikSand : 09-09-2003 at 02:34 PM. |

I'm just helping to narrow down the field of possible answers. Isn't that a positive thing to do.

Washington is certain, as is South Carolina.
Iowa is not. I think Cedar Falls or Cedar Rapids (Cedar something) is 2nd populated city there. |

Certainly seems possible that WA is intended to be on the list, with the numbers that close.

"your are using a german site."
So? What, you think the German's just made up those numbers? It's the secondcoming of Hitler! First they trick us into thinking Tacoma is more populated than Spokane and then next they'll nuke us! |
