New OOTP League Starting up

(also was posted in the baseball forum)

That's right, an old OOTP league based out of FOFC, The Diamond Kings Baseball League, will be reorganizing itself and bringing their league back together. The league will be using OOTP9 and it is a must have to be in the league. The league is just in an infancy stage with ideas being floated out for what the rest of the league wants. Everything from Scouting, to player compensation, to the Rule 5 draft, to draft picks being traded, are part of the discussion. Feel free to check it out and ask any questions about the league or the direction we are planning on going. We aren't looking to start up for some time (at least a month) so it gives you some time to get in with the discussion and figure out if you have any interest.

Current FOFC members who are back with the league include Sackattack, Icy, and Vince.

All we have is a message board so far and here is the address. Message Board - Home

The rosters are real. The roster will be opening day of this past year. No post opening day trades will be part of the league

Everyone who signed up on the boards is in. Ross, I'll sign you up as well

It has been a LONG time since I've been in any multi-player league, but I'm thinking with ootp9, this might be the best way to play.

Oh, hey, thanks for asking if I would like to re-join.

Not that I would be able to at this point, but that's beside the point.

I think Pennywise is interested in Toronto -- if not Toronto, possibly San Diego. I have to kick his butt into getting online again.

I was the original Astros owner, but I dropped out a couple of season before the league folded...

Totally geeked about getting into an online OOTP league again after all these years. Is there a tutorial anywhere about how to use OOTP9 for online play? I imagine it's not as simple as it used to be 4 or 5 versions ago...

Here is the online manual which has a link for online leagues. Looks like I need to read up as well.

It's alright. Maybe keep me on the waiting list or some such. I'm still having trouble getting used to OOTP 9, and any of the OOTPs after 6.5

Can I dip my toe in the MP baseball waters and give the Mariners a try? I've never done MP OOTP but I do have the game (OOTP9) and would like to give it a shot. But if you have a more firm owner in mind, by all means choose them!
