RFL 2009 scheduling thread
Hey guys. We can't see our upcoming schedules yet in game, but I thought we'd get a small jump on coordinating which humans will play each other this year.
As far as I can remember, I have the second half of home-and-homes series with BC and ND, both in Indiana this season. I believe the ND game is to come in Week 14 this year. I'm not positive that I want to schedule any other humans, as it'd be nice to keep a couple of cupcakes to help us on the way to a good record. Especially in light of the fact that we are adding OSU and Michigan to our in-conference schedule this season. Remember, each team in RFL is required to play 3 humans each season (or 2 humans and 1 top 25 team), and any FCS teams on your default schedule must be swapped out. Clemson is coming to Michigan week 1 or 2. I don't remember if as a league we're gonna hold off week 1 games, but I will be doing that for EBFL.
Other then that I am not scheduling anymore human games as I have Galaxy, nej, Kodos and possibly Pumpy and Sun depending on how the rotation works. |

If we can swing it, I am definitely in favor of having no human games in Week 1.

I believe I will already be schedules against washington OOC in addition to Indiana, PSU, Michigan and maybe Minnesota.

I believe bigsmooth has agree to come to South Bend this year to complete a home-and-home series. We'll have our human rivalry games: USC (Eaglesfan27), Boston College (SirFozzie), Michigan (DeToxRox), and the newly created rivalry game with Indiana (Kodos). If Washington (bigsmooth) comes to South Bend, Notre Dame will have 5 RFL games. How do you define a "Top 25" team? Last edited by Galaxy : 10-22-2008 at 05:01 PM. |

I have no clue who I'm playing, or when. I really like the idea of the leaguewide bye week, just for efficiency purposes. I'm game to play just about anybody at any time. I like having a cupcake or two during the year, but it's not imperitive for me. Anybody have any clue how we can pull up the schedules? Maybe somebody could take the dynasty offline and progress to the schedules...and not cheat and peek at the ratings for the recruits?

Okay, I am done converting this crap. Now I am simming to the pre-season. I'll do a basic rundown for each team, might take a few minutes.

DeToxRox...you are without a doubt the man.
I count 4 Human games for me this next year. A big w00t for games against both DeTox and the Pumpus. Update - And every single one of my Human games are in Happy Valley!

BYU only has 11 regular season games. We have GT on our schedule for Week 1, but that game might be scraped if we go with a Week 1 RFL-wide bye.

Even if we don't, I'd like to scrap that game(consider it a compliment ). I've got human games vs Boston College and Clemson, and I'll find a top 25 team that looks weak. I can't risk not making a bowl game again. |

I don't mind. I actually like to have a Week 1 bye (even if we don't have a RFL bye) as well being pretty happy with the amount of RFL games we already have. Won't Georgia count as a top 25 team? Just looking at our schedule, no Boston College-Notre Dame game? Last edited by Galaxy : 10-22-2008 at 06:35 PM. |

I know I am a game short, but I will have to schedule it against a non human opponent as my schedule is changing and I don't want to hold more people up.

Alrighty, here are the game-generated schedules, with games that need to be changed in red. The pink ones, I wasn't sure if Detox meant Fresno State or Florida State, or Ohio U vs. Oklahoma U.

You can eliminate Georgia Tech-Notre Dame in week one. Week 14 will be Notre Dame at Indiana (I'm assuming).

I'd like to schedule a second game against DeTox, if possible. There aren't enough cupcakes the way it stands.

I'd like to swap out my Week 1 game against FIU for a game against San Jose State or someone around the same quality in Week 2.
I'd also like to swap out my gamea aginst Illinois in week 10 for a bye, and schedule a game against a B team in week 3. Possibly Miami or someone like that.

Oh...haha ok. I didn't realize that Illinois was an inter conference game. Ok ok well, lets eliminate the USF game in Week 15 for a game against them in Week 3 if possible. If they aren't available I'll take another B team, just like before.
