In the AL, we've got a matchup between the '03 and '04 AL champs respectively. Neither of which has won a title before.
In the NL, it's the battle of the '04 and '07 Classic Champs with the Giants looking to repeat and the Reds seeking to return to past glory. With that, let's hit the series! ALCS GAME 1: Chicago 8, Boston 6 Stovall went 3 for 4 with a double, home run and 3 RBI in the victory. NLCS GAME 1: New York 3, Cincinnati 2 Walter Johnson pitched seven innings, giving up six hits and two earned, with five strikeouts in the victory. ALCS GAME 2:
Boston 6, Chicago 3 (Series tied 1-1) Berger pitched the complete game, giving up six walks and only striking out two. But a win is still a win. He gave up just two earned runs, though. NLCS GAME 2: New York 7, Cincinnati 3 (NYG leads 2-0) Jack Chesbro pitched a complete game giving up 3 earned and striking out 2 in the victory. |

File is up. I'll do the HTML later. Congrats to the champs and to the other playoff squads. You gotta be in it to win it!

Wait, so the first 3 games of the Classic Heine Berger started against Walter Johnson? In all 3? Was there like 3 days off between them so "Highest Rested" kicked in?

I don't use Highest Rested Starter, so I don't know what happens when people do that, but I know it produces some wacky results, especially in an era where pitchers are like super human to begin with. The format of the playoff though was 2-3-2-2, so...there were days off in between some of those starts.

Wow, there were. October 12 (with both only pitching a couple of innings), October 14, October 17. Were there supposed to be that many days off between the three games?

Yeah, I may have to stop here. In the modern era it rarely matters, only affecting a handful of games per year. It's much more noticable here in FOOL-H.

Congrats to the Giants!
Looks like my team's Fan Loyalty increased, which obviously doesn't matter much in this set up, but nice to see things moving in the correct direction regardless! |
