Arizona Diamondbacks get new unis

head over to diamondbacks.com to check em out.

Personally, I am not a fan. They switched from teal and purple to red/gold/black. Alter their logo into a star and you couldn't tell them apart from the Astros if you tried.

Too much similiarity in sports. I can't wait to see the Reds trade in that black for retro navy blue.

Nothing wrong with what they had before. Plus "D-Backs" on the unis is stupid.

I was kind of meh on the old ones - they got caught up in that teal craze from about a decade ago (Mighty Ducks, San Jose Sharks, Jacksonville, the Hornets, even the Eagles to an extent). Not sure these are too great though either.

edit: forgot the Devil Rays

well now once the Suns add red then I only need one shirt for all the pro teams.

Dumb move IMO, but that's what happens when new owners want to leave their mark on a team.

That worsed dressed teams list came out a few hours too early.

And what's up what the perverse lineup of people showing up at the press conference and modeling D-Backs jerseys in the photo gallery? Bob Melvin and Orlando Hudson, sure. But Jeremy Roenick, Kurt Warner, Edgerrin James, Larry Fitzgerald, Alana Beard and Young MC? Huh?

If to promote your new unis you need to break out a hockey player, football players and a WNBAer, you need to bust a move and get some new players, not new uniforms.

Can't say I'm a fan. Then again, I didn't like when the Astros went to black and red from their classy navy and gold that the Padres gladly snatched up after they dropped.

I had no idea that the Diamondbacks had joined the PCL.

I like the black jerseys, but they are pretty bad all around.

Oh, I know the Pads call it sand but it was basically the same jerseys and I applaud them for their good judgement

You think this is bad just wait until Toronto's new Uniforms come out with "B-Jays" on the front.

Agreed. Awesome.

I can see that line coming up in a Sports Guy column soon. He should send it in to get the credit he deserves.

Odd, I thought this was old news. I read this on Univ of Maryland's news site I think a week or so ago. I thought it was funny because Maryland, whose mascot is the Testudo, a Terrapin, is black and red (with hints of yellow) and now the Diamondbacks must've been so impressed with us that they took our colors. After all, a diamondback IS a type of terrapin. I think they just loved us and our colors so much.

Sadly Brandon Webb is the only player on the Dbacks that I could name right off of the top of my head.
