OT - Any M.E.T.H.O.D. Men Out there? (New .400 Contest)
Got a new contest for some great prizes for all you hip-hop types (Fritz, Analbumcover, etc. come to mind). Now you guys can't blame for porn-sounding music in our games. BTW, SkyDog, why don't you post some guitar loops for us to use?
Check this out: http://www.400softwarestudios.com/Co...contests.shtml From the site: "This unique contest gives fans the opportunity to create their own musical compositions for possible inclusion in our forthcoming pro basketball game, Total Pro Basketball 2003. And in addition, contest participants will have a chance to win some great prizes! Don't know how to play an instrument? No problem! With the free Sonic Foundry ACID Xpress, you don't need to know how to play a single note to create a fantastic composition. Simply make your music by using Xpress' easy-to-use "pick, paint, and play" style interface. Pick the sounds you like and paint your music track-by-track. Use as many loops as your computer can handle. Once you're done, sit back and enjoy the groove. It's that easy - just dig in and get creative. Now remember, you are composing for a basketball soundtrack - not a bluegrass festival! Basketball is an urban sports, so the key operatives here are beat and rhythm. But don't lest us stifle your creativity. Be as imaginative as you want - you can even use your own sound loops and samples.* Enter you remix now, and you have a shot at winning great prizes, including .400 Software Studios Total Pro Basketball 2003, Sonic Foundry ACID DJ 3.0 or a $50 Gift Certificate at .400 Software Studios CyberStore! So what are you waiting for? Start mixing!" |

and what's wrong with "Bluegrass Basketball"? I suspect you're alienating the huge Alison Krauss/Allen Iverson fan base out there.
"You gotta purty mouth, dawg. Squeal like a pig... yeah, that's the shiznit."

Just a note the body of the contest page says the prize is a $100 gift certificate and the sidebar says $50.

Cam is once again my hero. Anything with Alison Kraus & Union Station would do it for me.

Been playing around with this. It's pretty cool. I think I put something together that sounds pretty good.

Looks like all my digital audio software I went into debt buying a few years back might come in handy now.. (I actually bought this computer to suplement my home recording studio.. Then sorta got addicted to games again.)
I'll have to see if I can come up with something. Nice idea for a contest. |
