Super Bowl XL Early Prediction

Since the next SB will be number 40 - or XL in Roman numerals - I predict that there will every conceivable variation on the word XL-ent ( excellent ).

This SB was XL-ent!
SB not so XL-ent.
[Insert Team] complete XL-ent finish!

Start counting now.

This wasn't supposed to be an actual prediction thread - just a play on words . . . Oh, well . . .

I think the loss of Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel are going to keep the Pats from a 4th Super Bowl.

Cincinnati signs HB Alexander, plus Ty Law demands a trade there after Asante Samuel steals the NE spotlight.

Arizona drafts Matt Leinart, gets Randy Moss at a discount because he's on the block and Tice thought he could make him 'suffer' by going to a horrendous team. Arizona then talks Ricky Williams out of retirement, coaxing him with medicinal purpose mary jane.

Hence, take up those numbers before others catch on.

Leinart becomes the first ever QB to win BCS National Championship and Super Bowl in the same season, also taking home both the NFL Rookie of the Year and his 2nd Heisman. Now there's a story.

Palmer vs. Leinart would have nice media coverage as well.

This isn't much of a leap. The game has already been advertissed playing up the XL angle. I pointed this out to my friends about 6 years ago that whoever had Super Bowl 40 had a really easy game to promote. Much easier than 39.

...and SunDevil gets the early lead in the clubhouse for suggesting, even in denial, that "Xtra Large" would be the Super Bowl mantra.
