Raiders - Moss = Johnson?
If the Raiders can trade Moss will they then look at Calvin Johnson?
I am sorry, but I believe Calvin Johnson will be one of the Greats at his position, and any team that passes him in the draft will regret it. He is the total package for a WR. He is this years Reggie Bush. He will make you look stupid by not selecting him.

I still think the raiders need to avoid Jabustus Russell like the plague and Pick Calvin Johnson..
Maybe swinging a deal for David Carr in the process as well, then spend the rest of their draft on sumo wrestlers for offensive line help |

Any QB behind that o-line in Oakland will bust...If given a decent O-line I think Russell can be ok, I doubt he will ever be great but a Culpepper type QB (pre knee injury).

It still seems to me that the Falcons trading up to get Calvin Johnson makes the most sense.

Jeez, I knew I didn't follow individual college players that closely, but I just looked at Calvin Johnson's numbers and wondered how I never heard of this guy until halfway through the 2006 season. I guess whenever I heard about Georgia Tech, I just thought "LOL Reggie Ball" so I didn't realize that Ball was actually completing passes to somebody.
Hell, actually, I hadn't realized that Reggie Ball was completing any passes at all.

Aaron Rodgers to CJ = Brooks to Moss

Interesting...if you could do the '06 draft over, you'd take Bush for the Texans? I personally think Vince Young is the one who's going to make them look dumb, and this is why I couldn't possibly come out of this draft without a quarterback who I think has a big time future...they simply have to come out of this draft with Quinn or Russell). I love Calvin Johnson, think he's got a big future but you can't come out of this draft with Andrew Walter at quarterback.... Last edited by adubroff : 03-01-2007 at 12:46 PM. |

I'm still not sold on Young, who was the 15th ranked passer in the AFC

I've heard this too. I wouldn't be too sad, although I think we need to give Rodgers SOME kind of a chance (he will get killed in Oakland )

I agree on both points. Plus, the Packers will need to find another QB to groom - is Ingle Martin IV the answer? Still, Favre-to-Moss, Driver and Jennings sounds like a lot of fun. |

I would much rather the Raiders trade Moss to the Dolphins, Jets or Bills. The good teams in the AFC (Steelers, Colts, Broncos) are too smart to try to trade for him, so that'll never happen. So the best case scenario for the Pats is he gets traded they get to play twice a year.
He's a jerk who won't contribute a thing. |

LOL I really like Aaron Rodgers, but this is quite the counter offer. Why didn't they counter with a dozen footballs and a leg curl machine?

I'm probably naive, but how is this not a boon for OAK town? Dump the red flag player who is probably declining for a potentially decent QB and then get to draft Calvin Johnson.

I like Aaron Rodgers, but right now I would not even guarantee a healthy Rodgers making an NFL roster this season. I think the people in Green Bay our ready for Aaron's last rights to be read to him.

I'm a Packers fan, and I'm certainly not ready to run him out of town. That said, there's a fair amount of skepticism in Packerland about his ability to be a starter in the NFL. But most realize that he's not really had the chance to show what he can do yet, so that skepticism is tinged with a tiny bit of hope that he'll still work out. |
