NFL KING OF THE HILL 2008
Hey guys, I wanted to throw this out to you all since I have been involved in a really big (639 people last year) football pool. It's ran by a coworker of a friend, I've know a large group of friends that have been doing it for a number of years, I've been in it since last year.
Rules of the game: Pick one team from any NFL game each week. If your team wins (or ties), you continue to the next week. Any kind of a loss and you’re out. By the way, a player may only pick the same team twice over the entire course of the regular season. Weekly cumulative pick summaries will be e-mailed and uploaded to the internet every week at: Yahoo! Briefcase - List View (in the KOTH2K8 folder) so that you may track your picks and your opponents’ picks. Let me know if you are interested either by posting your email or PM'ing me. I'll send you the specifics via email.

Is it a cash thing or just for pride?

There may be cash involved, all details will be included in the email. Don't really want to discuss that type of stuff here.

Just wanted to throw this out one more time. And also remind those that are in it or requested info that you need to get your information and first week picks in by tomorrow!

I'm in with 5 entries. Now I just have to make my selections....it's way tougher than I thought it would be.

Anybody here still alive? It went from 7750 entries to 61 through week 6. I'm happy to say that I'm still alive with 1 of my 5 entries! $7500 would be very tasty right about now.
I went with the Titans this week. If the Titans can get the win and my Seahawks can knock off the Bucs, which would knock out another 20 contestants, I'd be a happy dude. And by "happy dude", I mean, I'd probably jerk it to pictures of myself. Last edited by Bigsmooth : 10-17-2008 at 07:20 PM. |

I'm wondering: with the ability to get in with multiple tickets, doesn't that mean that techincally you can guarantee yourself winning this thing?
This sounds like a good QuikSand puzzle: how many entries in a Survivor fantasy football contest do you need to guarantee victory?

I ended up splitting this with 2 other people. Took in $2500 each, which isn't too shabby. We decided on the split the day after the Cards knocked out the Panthers and 9 out of the 12 remaining players.
