Wolverines Announce a New Beginning in Michigan Baskeball!
Michigan - University of Michigan AD has announced the hiring of new Men’s Basketball Coach, Marmel. Marmel has led his Hartford team to the NCAA tournament for 3 straight years and 4 of 5 years. He pulled a first round ‘upset’ last season and is considered one of the hottest commodities out there. Michigan has fallen on tough times since the 1990’s. Michigan has won exactly 1 NCAA tournament game in the past 30 years. They were NIT champions as recently as 2028, but has no even been in the NCAA tournament since 2027. Once a proud program with NCAA Championship banners, Michigan is now relegated to the Mountain West Conference with a prestige of 59. The AD has said he is pushing for a rebirth of the basketball program, and Marmel is the man to get the job done.

My first duty as the new coach in Michigan is to hire a staff. I have about 210,000 to spend on my three coaches, which will leave me with 26,000 per month for recuiting, far more than I have ever had to spend before.
Also, I must be aware of the fact, that my players might be as good here as they were in Hartford, but the results will not be the same at first. Our first hire is Lindsay Benson. Lindsay is 56 years old and is rated 46 in offense and 45 in defense. He is my assistant coach. Our new lead scout is 46 year old Chris Close. He is rated 55 in scouting. Our new recruiter is 48 year old James Fecteau. He is rated 57 in recruiting. We have 13 games to schedule, 8 of which can be home dates. Here are the teams I schedule this year: Binghamton Cornell Army Central Michigan Rice Hartford Colgate Eastern Michigan Oakland Providence IPFW Eastern Kentucky Detroit Recruiting begins and we have 4 scholarships to offer.

2033-2034 Michigan Wolverines Roster
CENTERS 43 Thomas Beaumont C Jr 6'11" 297 Cazenovia, NY Tom is our starting center this year, after being a valuable back up his first two years. Tom is a great defender, and terrific at getting those put back baskets. His offensive game is pretty decent. 3 Zackary Dark C Fr 6'10" 238 Laurens, IA Zack would be our starter if he could improve his defense…it is pretty bad. His offensive game and his rebounding are out of this world though, and that will get him plenty of court time. 44 Mikel Hack C Fr 6' 9" 224 Jackson, TN Hack gets a red shirt this year. POWER FORWARDS 21 Bo Guadalupe PF Sr 6' 8" 231 Columbus, NC Bo is a walk on who is a good rebounded and good defender. Nothing spectacular, and he has no offense at all. Minimal playing time for him. 50 Dorian Lindell PF Jr 6'11" 236 Ettrick, VA Dorian is our starting PF, but I am not enamored with him. He is pretty average in all aspects his game, but maybe an above average rebounded. He is the best we have though. 51 Jonathan Roque PF Fr 6' 9" 244 Confluence, PA Rogue is a terrific rebounded, but he is going to need to work on the other aspects of his game before he sees a significant amount of playing time. SMALL FORWARDS 55 David Marrero SF Sr 6' 7" 233 Juneau, AK Davis is a devastating threat to score in the paint. He has a little bit of an outside game, and can really cover the smaller guards well. He really gets muscled around trying to defend down low though. He will start at SF due to his scoring abilities. 22 John Wilkie SF Jr 6' 6" 243 Lumberton, MS John is a pretty decent player and will be a nice backup off the bench. He can score inside and play some great defense and rebound down low as well. He will probably get some time at SF and PF. 33 Sammy Robertson SF Fr 6' 7" 216 Greenville, MS Robertson is a nice 3 point shooter and can do some damage down low on offense. His post defense is decent, but he is not a good rebounded, and the smaller guards lose him with ease. SHOOTING GUARDS 11 Jerry Burrell SG Sr 6' 4" 185 Keene, NH Jerry is going to score a ton of points for us this year as the starting SG. He has one of the most smooth jumpers I have ever seen, and can step out to hit the 3 as well. His defense is pretty good as well. 5 Joe Willman SG So 6' 3" 176 Elba, AL This walk on is a very good shooter, but lacks any other skills. His shooting will give him more minutes than a normal walk on, but not much more. 4 Michael Rizzo SG Fr 6' 2" 195 West Sayville, NY Rizzo gets the red shirt. POINT GUARDS 30 Russell Boyle PG Sr 6' 1" 188 N Ridgeville, OH Russ is a pretty well rounder point guard, but will come off the bench as our 6th man. 20 Luis Hannah PG Jr 5' 7" 162 Needham, MA Luis gets the starting nod at the point. He does not have terrific point guard skills, but they are adequate. His shooting is lights out though, and should be our leading scorer most games. 24 Donte Moyers PG Fr 6' 0" 183 Orem, UT Moyers gets the red shirt.

November 13, 2033
Binghamton (0-0) at Michigan (0-0) I scheduled a real cupcake for my first game as head coach of Michigan, to ensure myself of a win. We took care of business, 82-64 to make my debut a success. David Marrero was our leading scorer with 24 points. We had some other terrific performances, including Zack Dark off the bench with 12 points and 13 boards. Luis Hannah had 15 points and 9 assists. Jerry Burrell also scored 15 while Dorian Lindell scored 10 with 9 boards. Tom Beaumont grabbed 10 boards for us.
November 18, 2033 Cornell (0-0) at Michigan (1-0) Another cupcake to start the season, and we beat them soundly, 70-47. The schedule does get tougher eventually, I promise. Burrell led us in scoring from the SG spot with 19. Marrero added 13 from the SF spot and our PF Lindell had 11 with 9 boards.
We get ranked #22 in the new media poll. I think it is just an early season discrepancy though. November 22, 2033 Army (1-0) at #22 Michigan (2-0) I remain undefeated as the Michigan coach with a 82-50 blowout today. Burrell led the way in the scoring department with 26 points. Hannah added 10 as did Wilkie off the bench. Dark had 10 boards off the bench as well.
November 26, 2033 #22 Michigan (3-0) at Central Michigan (2-1) I schedule a couple of in state matchups this season, and this is the first. We take early state bragging rights with a 71-56 victory and run our record to 4-0. Our scoring was spread out today. Marrero led us with 13 while Lindell, Hannah and Boyle each scored 10. Beaumont scored 7 to go along with his team high 11 rebounds.
We have moved up to #21 in the polls. November 30, 2033 Rice (3-0) at #21 Michigan (4-0) This was our toughest game to date, and we lose it, 87-82. My first defeat at Michigan had to come at home, right? Marrero led us with 22 points. Hannah added 16 and 8 assists. Lindell had a double, double with 13 points and 15 rebounds. Burrell added 11.
November Recap
Our ranking is a fluke, and with the loss to Rice, we will lose that. I am just hoping to be competitive in league play in my first year here. Top 25

Hartford (6-1) at Michigan (4-1) What was I thinking scheduling this game? J Hartford is playing well early on, but we take it to them and show them what history and tradition will do for you. We win 101-87. Marrero led us in scoring with 28. Beaumont had 10 points and 13 rebounds. Lindell, Burrell and Boyle all scored in double figures as well. Fro my old team, good old Armondo Trammell led all scorers with 31 points and 16 rebounds. What a monster! Seiber, Mack and Durst all scored in double figures. They are going to have a fine squad this year.
December 12, 2033 Michigan (5-1) at Colgate (2-5) I head into the arena of the team that gave me my big break in coaching. They welcome me back with a 73-63 beating. L Marrero continue to score at will, he had 28 today. Burrell added 19 and Lindell had 10 boards.
December 16, 2033 Oakland (1-6) at Michigan (5-2) We get back home against an inferior opponent and put them away, 66-56. Burrell led the team with just 11 points, while Hannah and Lindell each scored 10 in an uninspiring performance.
Mid Month Recap
The Colgate loss is considered a very bad loss. The Rice one we can deal with. I still don’t have a great handle on this team, but I know Marrero is out star. Top 25

Michigan (6-2) at Providence (6-4) We hit the road for what I thought was going to be a tough win, but we made it look easy, 73-52. We had 5 players score in double figures, two of them off the bench. Marrero led us with 16 points while Boyle had 14, the second highest tally, off the bench. Dark, Burrell and Hannah were the other three. Beaumont had 10 boards.
December 29, 2033 Michigan (7-2) at Detroit (5-7) Don’t let their record fool you. This is a good team with a 90+ prestige rating. This is going to be a hard fought road game. Their defense got the better of us today and we lost, 76-64. Marrero showed up with 21 points and Hannah added 11 with 5 assists and 7 boards. The rest of the team was pretty quiet.
December 31, 2033 Eastern Michigan (3-6) at Michigan (7-3) Our final game of the 2033 calendar year is a solid home win, 70-53. Marrero led the way with 32 points today. Lindell scored 12 with 11 boards. Dark also had 10 boards off the bench.
December Recap Recruiting is going very bad. I still have not filled any of my 4 scholarships.

Any idea of what the AD is requiring of you this seson? Also periodic updates of Hartford would be great. What a tough team to leave behind, but I agree it was time to go. WHy did you choose Michigan over the other schools that offered you? Were they the best situation? Provided you the toughest challenge? Are you a closet Michigan fan?

I believe the AD wants me to compete for the Conference title (as opposed to winning it, I guess).
I will update you on Hartford, absolutly. There were 2 schools that I considered. Michigan and Arizona. The first reason I singled them out is because of a solid history prior to the start of this game. These are teams that used to be in major conferences and were competative for the national title so long ago (It is 2033, remember? ). Both teams had about the same prestige, and while I am an Arizona closet fan, I went with Michigan mainly because: 1) Closer to the NorthEast. 2) Arizona was 8-20 last season. 3) Michigan had the better recruiting class last season. 4) I have challenged myself enough, and I am striving to get my reputation high enough to get into a major conference, which will hopefully allow me to take the Syracuse job one day (sooner rather than later).

Competing for the conference crown is pretty much finishing in the top 3 spots in the conference. When you are expected to win the conference, you need to either finish first or win the conference tournament.

Picking back up….
We left off at the end of December in the year 2033. Our recruiting is going very bad while the season is pretty good at 8-3. By the way, how cool is it that the game’s developer is checking out my dynasty thread?! January 4, 2034 IPFW (8-9) at Michigan (8-3) We start off the new year on the right foot with a 66-54 victory at home. Marrero was the star of the game, pouring in 28 points. Nobody else on the team was able to score in double figures, so it is a good think Marrero stepped up his game again today.
January 7, 2034 Michigan (9-3) at Arizona State (4-8) We open up conference play on the road here and because of superb coaching, I am able to sneak out a narrow victory to open the league schedule, 83-79. PG Hannah led us in points with 22 and he also had 7 assists. Boyle came off the bench with 16 points and 6 assists while Marrero put up 17.
January 9, 2034 Nevada (8-6) at Michigan (10-3) In our first home game in the Mountain West, Marrero and Lindell will still start, but are nursing some bumps and bruises. It might have cost us the game as we lose a close one, 93-89. Both played decent enough, and Marrero seemed unaffected by the injury, as he scored 27 to lead all scorers. Boyle added 16 and Burrell had 14.
January 13, 2034 Eastern Kentucky (6-8) at Michigan (10-4) We move back OOC for this one and dominate in impressive fashion. We win easily, 90-37. We had 5 players scoring in double figures, with 4 of them being starters. No surprise as Marrero led us with 20. Burrell, Boyle, Beaumont and Lindell all scored 10. Beaumont also had 10 boards while Lindell grabbed 11. Burrell had 8 assists and 6 boards in addition to his 10 points.
January 16, 2034 Michigan (11-4) at Santa Clara (10-6) Back to conference play, and we are perfect on the road after a 82-77 win. Marrero, our MVP scored 18 to lead the way today, but he got plenty of help. Burrell had 13, Lindell 11 and Beaumont 10. Hannah scored 8 to go along with his 8 assists as well.
Mid Month Recap
A solid overall record, and top 3 early on in league play. Top 25

January 21, 2034
Michigan (12-4) at Fordham (8-9) We stumble on the road here and fall to 2-2 in conference play after a 85-73 loss. The game came down to three players, the only three who showed up. Marrero exploded for a career high 38 points. They had too guys put up high 20’s scoring though.
January 23, 2034 Michigan (12-5) at Toledo (13-6) We hit the road again against the top team in the league currently, and don’t really put up too much of a fight. We lose 87-74. Marrero had yet another great game with 29 points and Burrell added 18 with 8 assists.
January 27, 2034 Montana (4-13) at Michigan (12-6) We step back out of conference and take a win over this poor Montana team. I thought we would blow them out but the final was 86-76. Marrero led us with 22 points. Burrell and Hannah each added 13. Beaumont had 12 with 7 boards and Robertson had 10 off the bench.
We got hammered with injuries today. Lindell and Burrell are both out for a month, so we have to replace 2 starters, and one is a PF, where we lack any kind of depth. January 30, 2034 Michigan (13-6) at Marist (6-11) Somehow, with out mish mash lineup we take this win on the road, 72-69. Every win we can pick up for the next few weeks, on the road, will be huge. Hannah led us with 18 points and 7 assists. Our new starting Center (Beaumont was moved to PF) had a great game in his first start. Zack Dark with 13 points and 9 boards. Marrero added 11 points..
January Recap C Albert Parker, from Watkins Glen, NY, has committed to Michigan. Albert is a 3 star recruit. He is not a scoring threat down low, but can pull their center out of the paint because he has a decent jumper. His rebounding skills are impressive and his defense should be adequate.
PG Daniel Brown, from Bullard, TX, has committed to Michigan. Dan is a 3 star recruit. He has pretty good point guard skills and a nice looking three point shot. His defense should be OK as well.
Mountain West Standings
We are going to have to find a way to string together a few wins in February. Top 25

February 4, 2034
Toledo (15-7) at Michigan (14-6) We keep it close here, but just lack the depth and miss our starters. We lose 88-81. Boyle led us on offense with 27 points today. Marrero added 17. Zack Dark had another fine game with 11 points and 10 boards. Hannah also chipped in with 10.
February 6, 2034 Fordham (12-10) at Michigan (14-7) Our defense was suffocating today and we win easily, 78-46. Marrero was the man with 28 points today. Hannah and Boyle each scored in double figures while Dark and Beaumont had double digit rebounds for us.
February 11, 2034 Santa Clara (13-9) at Michigan (15-7) This game came down to the last possession. We hit the clutch basket and take the 80-78 victory, a much needed one. Marrero led the way with 24 points, while we find a budding star in Zack Dark, who scored 17 and grabbed 15 boards. He may be earning himself a starting job permanently right now. Hannah added 15 points with 9 assists.
February 13, 2034 Michigan (16-7) at Memphis (12-9) We hit the road in what I thought would be a competitive game between teams fighting to get in the upper half of the table. It turns out we dominated en route to a 72-54 victory. Boyle scored 23 to lead the way while Marrero added 17. Dark had 9 points and 10 boards.
Mid Month Recap
With 5 teams all bunched up at the top, this season could play out in so many possible ways. At least we are in the hunt.

February 20, 2034
Michigan (17-7) at Nevada (13-10) Nevada is the only team with just 3 losses in league play. They still have 3 as they beat us pretty handily, 70-57. Marrero scored 18 to lead the way and Boyle added 10. Dark got hurt and only played 9 minutes.
February 27, 2034 Arizona State (13-13) at Michigan (17-8) We have a full lineup again today. Dark keeps the starting center spot. Lindell comes back to start at PF and Beaumont becomes our 6th man. Burrell gets his SG starting spot back and Boyle is our 7th man. All that leads to a blowout loss at home, 101-75. Marrero led the way for us with 32 points and Burrell added 17 in his return, but that is all the offense we got. Dark scored 7 and had 11 boards.
February Recap PG Hassan Justice, from Fayetteville, AR, has committed to Michigan. Hassan is a 3 star recruit. He is a great ball handler and passer, and can knock down a few shots. Defense is his weakness.
C Charles Funches, from New Haven, CT, has committed to Michigan. Charles is a 4 star recruit. Superior defense and rebounding is a sure thing with Charles. His offensive game will need some work.
We have no shot for 1st or second place, but we have a shot for 3rd place if things break right for us. Top 25

Memphis (14-12) at Michigan (17-9) We are slumping bad down the stretch, and we lose this one 74-62. Marrero led us with 17 points and Hannah had 10. Dark had 12 boards and 8 points while Beaumont had 11 boards.
March 4, 2034 Marist (9-17) at Michigan (17-10) We close out the league schedule with a win and finish at 500 on the year in the MWC. The final here was 77-67. Hannah led us ion scoring with 16 points. Burrell had 15, Marrero 12 and Beaumont had 10.
Final League Standings
We are the 5 seed in the tournament. Beaumont will move back into the starters role, and Lindell will get benched for the tournament. March 9, 2034 (5) Michigan (18-10) vs. (4) Nevada (15-13) We get to the league semi finals with a solid 85-80 victory today. Marrero put us on his back and scored 29 points en route to victory. Hannah added 20 for us today.
We lost Burrell for the rest of the season in this game. Boyle will step in and start at SG. March 10, 2034 (5) Michigan (19-10) vs. (1) Arizona State (17-13) We pull off the huge upset against the favored ASU Sun Devils to win number 20 on the year and move to the conference finals. The final score was 75-71. Marrero carried us to the win with another 32 points today.
March 11, 2034 (5) Michigan (20-10) vs. (7) Santa Clara (16-15) We catch a break by playing the 7 seed instead of the 2 or 3 seed. It was hard fought the whole way, but we prevailed at the end, 80-77. I am taking Michigan to the dance in my first year here!!!!!!

Post Season
Our RPI was weak, and we did beat up on some bad teams to get to 20 wins this year, so we were seeded #11 this year. A bit low I think, but I also think we will have to fight and scratch to win any game in this tournament. We will face the #6 seeded Iowa team in the first round. Toledo and Memphis made the NIT tournament. Memphis lost in the opening round to Louisiana Tech. Toledo survived but was knocked out in the next game by Alabama. March 17, 2034 (11) Michigan (21-10) vs. (6) Iowa (20-12) We came out flat, and went down by a lot early. We fought our way back to within 6, but then ran out of gas and were eliminated by a final score of 80-68.

(83) SEC Minnesota (61) Big 10 NC State (72) ACC Ohio State (60) Big 10 Oklahoma (82) Big 12 How could I turn that Oklahoma job down……….but I have only been here for 1 year……..what to do?

Welcome to Oklahoma!
I just couldn’t pass up that job with The Sooners. I move way up in prestige (over 20 points) and move to one of the top conferences in the nation. They had the #26 rated recruiting class last year, so the pipeline is full. This brings me a big step closer to landing a job with Syracuse, as long as I can keep things going strong here in Oklahoma. My three assistants have followed me over to Oklahoma, but I may have the money to upgrade them. J I fire them all. I can spend well over $100,000 on each new coach and still have over 20,000 per month to recruit with. My total budget is 642,500 per year. Our new lead scout is 55 year old Noble Hawkins. He is rated 71 in scouting. Our new recruiting coach is 56 year old Vernon Turner. He is rated 81 in recruiting. Our new assistant coach is 60 year old Greg Walker. He is rated 60 on offense and 51 on defense. Scheduling We have been invited to the Coaches Invitational tournament from 11/9 to 11/10. We are offered the #4 seed, and accept, of course. There are always some premier teams in this tournament! We have 10 more openings to fill, and 8 of those can be home games. We end up scheduling the following teams: VMI Iona Army Vermont Albany Colgate Colorado Seton Hall Penn State Hartford Recruiting We have just 2 scholarships to offer this year. We get an early commitment from: SG Lonny Lamont, from Albany, MS. Lonny is a 4 star recruit. Lonny is a very good shooter, and does everything very good except defense. He seems to really struggle on that side of the floor.

2034-2035 Oklahoma Sooners
CENTERS 32 Jonathan Boyd C Sr 6'10" 247 Morgan, UT Jon will get the start at Center for the second straight year. He is a terrific offensive force in the paint. He is always getting the put back bucket on misses as well. His defense should be good enough down there. 12 Daniel Stotts C So 7' 0" 275 Colton, OR The 7 foot Stotts gets the start at PF for us. He is a decent scorer, but will not scare anybody there. His defense is tremendous though and he will grab his fair share of rebounds. 55 Brice Yim C Fr 6' 9" 233 Pensacola, FL Bruce is a walk on with very little skills. POWER FORWARDS 35 Donte Ford PF Jr 6' 7" 230 Grants Pass, OR Donte is pretty much average across the board. He is still recovering from a torn ACL and will not be available until mid January in all likelihood. 24 Werner Davis PF So 6'10" 217 Macon, IL Werner is a walk on with a bit of a offensive game, but nothing else that will get him any significant playing time. 33 Kelvin Pinkney PF Fr 6'10" 230 Nikiski, AK Pinkney is a red shirt this season. SMALL FORWARDS 20 Dustin Albers SF Sr 6' 9" 228 Cherokee, KS Dustin plays some pretty good defense, especially against the smaller guards. He is also a very nice 3 point shooter. He is likely to be the second man off the bench for us. 30 Elden Bell SF Fr 6' 7" 226 Onsted, MI Bell is very average across the board. He doesn’t really excel in any one thing, but he is not really terrible anywhere. He will be used, but limited. 2 Charles Sandidge SF Fr 6' 7" 237 St George, UT Charles get a red shirt this year. SHOOTING GUARDS 15 James Ortiz SG Jr 6' 3" 202 Trumansburg, NY Good shooter, good defender. He is the first man off the bench and will see some nice playing time. 3 Duane Whatley SG Jr 6' 5" 185 New Berlin, NY Duane might be, no he IS, the best shooter I have ever coached. Lights out from everywhere on the court. His defense from the outside is good, but he lacks when he has to cover a bigger man. He gets the start, out of position, at the SF position. 44 Leif Broussard SG Fr 6' 4" 216 Johnstown, OH Leif is a walk on who will not see much playing time, unless we need a three pointer. POINT GUARDS 0 John Shoop PG Jr 5'10" 169 Rocky Ford, CO Shoop is our starting point guard, and he has already decided to forgo his final year of eligibility. This will be his final season. He is above average at everything he does, but does not stand out anywhere. I question his decision to leave early. 31 François Pollet PG So 6' 4" 209 Hawk Lake, Canada Fran has a smooth jump shot and should score a lot of points for us as the starting SG. He does a lot of other things well, but the jumper is his strength. 45 Rufus Cardenas PG Fr 5' 7" 176 Modesto, CA Red shirt

Maryland (0-0) vs. Oklahoma (0-0) We open up the season with a game in the Coaches Invitational tournament. We also start the season with a 9 point loss, 96-87. Whatley scored as good as I hoped he would. He had 29 on opening day. Shoop added 24 points and Boyd scored 9 with 13 rebounds.
November 10, 2034 #19 California (0-1) vs. Oklahoma (0-1) We get a second chance in the losers bracket, and make the most of it by beating a ranked team, 85-66. This is the first ranked team I have ever beaten in regular season play, if memory serves me correct. Whatley led us with 23 points, 8 assists and 8 rebounds. Shoop scored 18, Fran Pollet 12 and Boyd had 11 points with 11 rebounds.
November 16, 2034 Hartford (0-0) at Oklahoma (1-1) I invite my old friends from Hartford to my new arena. They play tough, just like I taught them just a few years ago, but we prevail, 74-66. Whatley led us with 21 points today. Shoop added 18. Pollet and Ortiz added 10 each.
November 21, 2034 Penn State (1-1) at Oklahoma (2-1) We take care of business at home today, 77-63. Whatley led the team in scoring with 22, but SG Fran Pollet was right behind him with 19 points. Shoop added 14 with 7 assists. Both of our big men, Boyd and Stotts, each had 14 rebounds.
November 25, 2034 Seton Hall (0-1) at Oklahoma (3-1) A tight game the whole way with this Big East team, but we finally pull away at the end for a 67-60 victory. Shoop led us in scoring today with 19. Whatley had 14 and Boyd had a double, double with 11 points and 12 boards.
November 30, 2034 Oklahoma (4-1) at Colorado (0-1) Our first real road game of the year and we drop it by 10 points, 81-71. Shoop had a great game with 33 points to lead us in scoring. Pollet and Bell, off the bench each added 10, but we had trouble finding any other offense. Boyd grabbed 11 boards.
November Recap PF Dewitt Dudek, from Rushville, IN, has committed to Oklahoma. Dewitt is a 4 star prospect and looks like he could really shine for us in the future. His offensive potential is unlimited and he is already a fine defender and rebounded.
SF Dustin Washington, from Concordia, KS, has committed to Oklahoma. Dustin is my first ever 5 star recruit! He has so much potential to be able to score from the paint as well as from the field and 3 point range. His perimeter defense should be great, while his only weakness is post defense. He is going to be a hero on campus!
Big 12 Standings
I have a bunch of cupcake games coming up after a decent set of OOC games. I am not too comfortable with this team right now, but once I start getting my own guys in, plus the guys I red shirted this year, I think we will be a very good club. Top 25

Colgate (3-3) at Oklahoma (4-2) Colgate, my very first job, and while I appreciate it, I will always have that bitter taste in my mouth from the firing so many season ago. We take out my anger on them with a 83-48 romp. Shoop led us in scoring with 29 points tonight. Albers and Whatley each added 11 points and Boyd had 10 along with his 14 boards.
December 12, 2034 Oklahoma (5-2) at Albany (3-3) We pick up our first road win of the year, but it was closer than expected. The final score was 75-66. Shatley took his turn in leading us. He scored 31 tonight. Shoop added 13 points, while Boyd put up his usual double, double: 15 and 11.
December 17, 2034 Vermont (2-7) at Oklahoma (6-2) Another one that should have been a blowout, but was close. The final was 73-66, but we did get the win. Shoop led us this time with 20 points. Pollet added 15 and Whatley 11. Boyd was again his usual self, and might be our most rounded player. He scored 12 and grabbed 11 boards.
Mid Month Recap
Our record is just fine, but I am afraid of how we will fare against these tough league teams coming up soon. Top 25

Army (2-7) at Oklahoma (7-2) We are running up our record with a string of cupcakes. We win this one 80-63. It was Pollet’s turn to lead us in scoring, he had 20. Whatley added 19 and Shoop 15. It is nice to not depend on just one guy, but we have 3 or 4 who can lead the way on any given night.
We crack the top 25, and are ranked #24 in the latest media poll. December 29, 2034 Iona (4-7) at #24 Oklahoma (8-2) We finally get an easy win at home, 89-69. Pollet led us in scoring today with 23 and Whatley was right with him, scoring 20 of his own points. Shoop scored 13 with 6 assists. Ortiz added 10 off the bench. Boyd, continues to put up double, doubles. He had 13 points and 14 rebounds.
December Recap We have moved up to #18 in the country in the latest polls.
It is still tough to say if we deserve the ranking right now. League play is going to start up soon, and we will then be able to tell just how good we are. Top 25

#18 Oklahoma (9-2) at Oklahoma State (7-4) This was a tough way to open the Big 12 schedule. On the road against an in state rival. They came ready to play and we did not, hence, we lose 86-68. Whatley had a fine game with 23 and Shoop added 20. Pollet also had 13, but we needed a lot more, especially in the paint.
We have fallen out of the top 25 and are one of the ‘Others Receiving Votes’ January 10, 2035 Oklahoma (9-3) at #13 Texas (8-4) We play tough here on the road, but they just outlasted us in the second half and beat us 88-81. We fall to 0-2 in Big 12 play. Shoop scored 24 to lead our team in that category. Whatley added 20. Pollet and Boyd each scored in double figures.
January 15, 2035 VMI (6-10) at Oklahoma (9-4) We get our 10th win of the season in a laugher of the game. The final score was 104-54. Shoop led us to the win with 29 points today. Boyd added 19 along with 9 boards. Stotts also had 9 rebounds. Pollet and Ortiz both scored in double figures as well.
Mid Month Recap
Tough start to league play, and we will be trying to dig ourselves out for awhile now. Top 25

Oklahoma (10-4) at Kansas (8-10) Three road games in the Big 12 so far, and all three have been losses. This ones final score is 98-84. All 5 of our starters scored in double figures, which would normally mean a win, but the defense just could not stop them at all. Whatley led us with 25 points and Boyd had 10 and 10 tonight.
January 24, 2035 Oklahoma (10-5) at New Mexico State (11-5) Can we ever play a game at home? We lose again to drop to 0-4 in league play, 88-72. Whatley had a great game, scoring 36 points, but nobody else could buy a basket. Boyd and Stotts had 25 combined rebounds.
January 27, 2035 #3 Tulsa (14-2) at Oklahoma (10-6) We finally get a home game, and are able to pull off the big time upset, 86-85, on a buzzer beater from 3 point range! Pollet led us with 28 points and Whatley was just as valuable, scoring 25. Boyd had 13 points and 13 boards and Stotts had 10 boards as well.
January Recap
We are in quite a hole here, but the majority of our league games are at home now and we should be able to climb back up to 500 with any luck. Top 25

Pacific (8-10) at Oklahoma (11-6) We beat the worst team in the league by 10 today, 69-59. Pollet led us with 21 points and Shoop added 16. We didn’t get much more offense, but we didn’t need it thanks to the D. Boyd grabbed 10 boards.
February 5, 2035 Oklahoma (12-6) at Texas Tech (9-8) We pick up our first road win in conference play with a 100-93 shootout victory. Whatley had 22 to lead us in scoring. Shoop scored 15 to go along with 11 assists. Ortiz and Albers both scored in double figures off the bench and Boyd had 18 points to go along with his 11 boards.
Disaster. Whatley ruptured his Achilles and the diagnosis is close to a year of rehab. February 7, 2035 #10 Texas (13-7) at Oklahoma (13-6) Somehow we come out without our big star and take it to the Longhorns, 88-58! Albers takes over the starting SF spot, but did not play particularly well. Shoop had a career day with 42 points against the #10 team in the land. Maybe he is ready for the pros. Pollet added 23 and Boyd had 17 rebounds along with 11 points.
February 10, 2035 Southern Methodist (14-8) at Oklahoma (14-6) We take this one at home 85-79. Shoop is stepping it up now as he had 25 points tonight. Pollet had 20, while Albers finally got comfortable in the starting spot and put up 16 points. Boyd had 14 points and 12 boards.
We are ranked #21 in the latest poll! February 14, 2035 #21 Oklahoma (15-6) at Southern Methodist (14-9) Our run finally comes to an end, as we fall hard, 100-62. Pollet and Shoop each scored 15, but everyone else was quiet. Stotts was solid on the boards with 17 and Boyd had a dozen.
Mid Month Recap
We have worked our way back to 500 on the year in the league, and now we need to try and sneak into the top 3 or 4 if possible. Top 25

#9 Oklahoma State (17-7) at #21 Oklahoma (15-7) A huge win for us at home, 111-90, and we avoid being swept by our in state rival. We also make the race for the top spot wide open, as OK State was in first. Shoop went off for 33 points today. Albers had 21, and he keeps improving in his starting role. Stotts and Oritz both scored in double figures and Boyd had 13 and 10.
February 24, 2035 Iowa State (14-11) at Oklahoma (16-7) We barely avoid getting upset at home, and take this one 67-66. Too close for comfort for me, when every win gets more and more important. Pollet and Shoop each scored 14 points to led us in scoring. Boyd had 13 and 17 big rebounds.
We are back in the polls this week, at #21 February 26, 2035 Colorado State (11-13) at #21 Oklahoma (17-7) Our defense played their best game of the year, and we win this one, 69-39. Pollet had 22 to lead us and Shoop had 19. Boyd had 13 and 13 today.
February 28, 2035 #21 Oklahoma (18-7) at Missouri (15-11) They stole this one from us in the final minutes, 91-89. Tough loss to swallow. Shoop went off for another 40 points tonight and Pollet added 23.
February Recap
We have a home date with Utah State and a road game against Pacific, both winnable games which would give us the 4 seed most likely. A loss in either of those puts us in a big bunch of teams. Top 25

Utah State (12-14) at #21 Oklahoma (18-8) Choke city. We lose this one, at home, 70-66. Pollet had 24 and Shoop 18, but nobody else could even manage more than 5 points.
March 7, 2035 Oklahoma (18-9) at Pacific (11-17) We finish off the regular season with a win on the road, 70-52. Pollet was our only double digit scorer, he had 32. Boyd had 13 boards.
Final Standings
We are the 5 seed in the conference tourney. After the bad start, I guess a winning league record is fine, but after we recovered I was really gunning for that 10th win. March 8, 2035 (5) Oklahoma (19-9) vs. (12) Pacific (11-18) We sweep Pacific in three games this season with a 78-59 tune up victory in the first round of the Big 12 tournament. Shoop led the way with 23 points and Pollet added 18. Boyd had 16 with 9 boards.
Stotts went down with an injury and will miss 5 weeks, probably the rest of the season that means. Donte Ford steps into the start role at PF. March 9, 2035 (4) Utah State (14-14) vs. (5) Oklahoma (20-9) In one of the wildest games ever seen, we outlast Utah State, 110-109! Pollet carried us all night long and ended up with 40 points. Shoop added 28. Boyd scored 11 and had 13 boards while Ford had 6 points and 10 boards in his first start.
March 10, 2035 (1) #19 Kansas (21-11) vs. (5) Oklahoma (21-9) We face the top seed in the conference semi-finals and just get absolutely crushed, 102-68. We must have been out of gas after yesterday’s game.

Post Season
We are awarded the #5 seed in the South Region. We will face the #12 seeded Mercer team. Before we get to that, Iowa State and Texas made the NIT tournament, but both lost in the opening round. Missouri is a 1 seed in the NIT, and they win their first round game. OK State, Tulsa, Kansas, New Mexico State and Southern Meth all win their first round NCAA games. March 16, 2035 (5) Oklahoma (21-10) vs. (12) Mercer (21-11) Mercer looked like a good team coming in but we just outclassed them all day long en route to a 101-71 victory. This is my second ever NCAA tournament win! Shoop scored 21 to lead us to the win today. He also had 10 boards from the PG spot. Boyd also played a great game and led the team in scoring and rebounds with 23 and 11. Pollet and Albers each scored in double figures as well.
Missouri was knocked out of the NIT in the second round. Kansas is the only team in the Big 12 to advance to the Sweet 16 so far. NM State and us are yet to play. March 18, 2035 (4) #5 Siena (28-4) vs. (5) Oklahoma (22-10) Siena has put together a terrific, high class program in the past few decades. This is going to be a dog fight. Actually, it was not much of a fight, we just laid down for them and took a 86-71 beating to end our season.
Kansas is now the only Big 12 team left in the post season. They lose in the round of 16 to St. Joseph’s. Final Four #11 Kent State #3 Boston College #2 Wisconsin #3 St. Joseph’s Wisconsin wins the NCAA title this year by beating Cinderella team, Kent State. Kentucky wins the NIT hardware. Off Season
Our prestige went up 2 points to 84. Our recruiting class was ranked #4 in the country!!!!! Wake Forest had the #1 class this season. Interesting, no job offers this year. All of my assistant coaches remain with us for another season. We are invited to the Coaches Invitational again and we gladly accept the offer as the #4 seed. We have 8 openings in our schedule and all of them can be home games. Sweet. We schedule the following teams this year: Navy Baylor Marshall Cincinnati Purdue Army Harvard Colgate Recruiting begins and we have 3 scholarships to offer. We get two great early commitments! PG Tim Hartle, from Peoria, IL, has committed to Oklahoma. Tim is a 4 star recruit. He will probably be used as a SG or even a SF. He is a great shooter from everywhere, can rebound and play terrific defense in the post and outside. Tremendous versatility. He is ranked #29 overall in the nation.
SF John Lacroix, from Des Moines, IA, has committed to Oklahoma. John is a 5 star recruit! A great scorer and defender, might end up as the SF or SG in our lineup. He is the #4 rated player in the country!

My whole roster writeup just got wiped out and I am not going to re type it. You only get a quick update this year. Very quick. Sorry.
Starters: C Stotts PF Ford SF Sandidge SG Ortiz PG Pollet Whatley will return from injury in about 4-5 weeks and will get the start, probably in pace of Ortiz. Stotts and Pollet have informed me they will forego their senior seasons and enter the Pro Draft. Again, sorry for the short write up this season, blame MS Word.

#2 St. Joseph’s (0-0) vs. Oklahoma We open the season in the Coaches Invitational Tournament against a final four team from last year. We pass our first test with a great 77-74 victory against the #2 team in the country! Pollet led the way with 27 points. Ortiz had a dozen and the true Frosh, Lamont had 14 off the bench. Ford had a monster game, scoring 10 points and pulling down 20 rebounds!
November 16, 2035 #15 Boston College (1-0) vs. Oklahoma (1-0) We take home the Coaches Invitational Tournament Title with a 94-73 title and we give notice to the rest of the country by knocking off #2 and #15 in the first two days of the season. Pollet led the way with 31 points. Stotts added 18 and Lamont had 13 off the bench.
We get instant respect from the pollsters and are ranked #4 in the first official poll of the season! November 22, 2035 Colgate (1-0) at #4 Oklahoma (2-0) We crush my former team, 99-67 in our first home game of the year. Pollet was our leading scorer with 22 points. Sandidge had 16. Bell, Ortiz and Stotts all scored in double figures as well. Ford grabbed 10 boards.
The polls start to work themselves out and we drop all the way down to #20. November 26, 2035 Harvard (1-1) at #20 Oklahoma (3-0) No problems today as we win by 40 points, 81-41. We have a few tune up games early on. Ortiz was the leading scorer today with 22 points. Pollet had 16 while Sandidge had 15 and Stotts had 10 with 12 boards.
November 30, 2035 Army (0-2) at #20 Oklahoma (4-0) Army gave us a scare as we had trouble hitting our shots, but we were able to pull this one out in the end, 66-57. Pollet led us with 19 points while Ortiz and Sandidge each scored in double figures as well.
November Recap PG James Appleton, from Kodiak, AK, has committed to Oklahoma. James is a 4 star recruit. Great passing skills, great defense and a nice looking 3 point shot.
SF Grant Payne, from Saint Peter Pork, in the UK, has committed to Oklahoma. Grant is another 5 star recruit! Great defense inside and out and even better at scoring from any distance!
Could be a great year and Whatley will be back soon. Top 25

Purdue (0-2) at #13 Oklahoma (5-0) We get beat pretty handily at home today, 91-78. Not a very good performance out there. Pollet led us with 19 points. Sandidge, Ortiz and Cardenas all scored in double figures and Ford had 14 rebounds.
December 11, 2035 #11 Cincinnati (5-1) at #22 Oklahoma (5-1) We now drop two in a row at home, and we had a chance to help our RPI with a win today. We lose this one 69-65. Pollet had 23 points and Sandidge added 14, but that was all the offense we could muster. Stotts and Ford combined for 25 boards, but only 6 points in the paint.
December 16, 2035 Marshall (2-4) at #22 Oklahoma (5-2) We are crumbling here, as we lose again at home, 57-48. Whatley should be back for our next game though.
Mid Month Review
After a great 5-0 start, we have dropped 3 in a row at home, two of them to average or worst teams. Whatley will be back in our next game and take over for Sandidge as the starting SF. Top 25

December 21, 2035
Baylor (5-3) at Oklahoma (5-3) We finally snap the losing streak with a 96-63 blowout of Baylor. Whatley’s return is a big success as he scores 35. Pollet also had a big day, scoring 32. Ford grabbed 13 boards for us.
December 25, 2035 Navy (4-3) at Oklahoma (6-3) We are going to struggle bad this year. We lose, at home, to the Navy, 78-63.
December 30, 2035 Colorado (7-3) at Oklahoma (6-4) We rebound from that bad loss to Navy with a nice win here, 88-52. We have a very up and down team this year. Whatley exploded for 41 points, and I guess his Achilles is feeling great now. Pinkney had a double double off the bench with 10 points and 12 boards.
December Recap
I think this will be a frustrating year where we beat good teams and lose to bad ones. We just need to find some consistency. Top 25

Boy Ortiz hasn't been giving you anything lately. Good thing that Whatley will be back to give you a burst. Looks like you got the #1 and #4 players in the incoming freshman class, outstanding! With all the players you have leaving for the pros you better keep it up, though. How did Hartford finish in the tourny last year? Are any of your recuits still playing there? It is nice to see you can build up a program in the game and it will continue to be solid once you leave.

Albany (5-5) at Oklahoma (7-4) We get things back on track with an easy win here, 87-42. Pollet led us with 28 points today. Whatley added 18 and Lamont had 10 off the bench. Ford had 13 boards and Stotts had 11 for us.
January 16, 2036 Oklahoma (8-4) at Texas (9-3) After a long layoff, we hit the road to begin conference play, and lay a beating down on rival Texas, 101-68. It is nice to have Whatley back, he scored 31 tonight. Pollet added 24. Stotts and Lamont both scored in double digits as well.
Mind Month Recap
Not much happening this month yet, but it was nice to get that road win to start things off. Top 25

Oklahoma (9-4) at #21 Tulsa (8-3) We struggled against this ranked team on the road and lost by 15, 78-63. Whatley had 21 in the losing cause, and Pollet added 11. Not much going on for us today.
January 23, 2036 #23 Missouri (8-6) at Oklahoma (9-5) It took us a while, but we finally notch win number 10 and it came against a ranked league opponent. The final was 90-79. Pollet had the big game today with 31 points. Whatley had 16 while Stotts and Ortiz each scored 10. Ford had 14 boards.
January 26, 2036 Oklahoma (10-5) at #4 Kansas (14-1) Kansas is looking awesome this year, but we are able to keep the game close and send it to overtime. We cough this one up in OT, 103-97. Whatley had 25 to lead us in scoring. Stotts had 16. Ortiz, Lamont and Ortiz all scored in double figures as well. Not a terrible loss as we were able to play with a top 5 team on the road.
January 30, 2036 Oklahoma State (10-6) at Oklahoma (10-6) We will be missing Pollet for this game and possible one more due to injury. Ortiz will move to the point and true frosh, Lamont takes over at SG. It all worked out for us as we take this in state rivalry game, 76-60. Ortiz scored 13 from the point, our only starter in double figures. Cardenas and Pinkney both scored in double figures off the bench. Lamont and Stotts each had double digit rebounds for us.
January Recap PG Carey Stephens, from Los Angeles, CA, has committed to Oklahoma. Carey is a 4 star recruit. His jumper is weak right now but he shows a lot of potential. He already has good passing skills and should be a great defender. With the addition of Carey I would say it is likely we have pulled in the #1 recruiting class in the nation!
Kansas and Utah State look awesome this year, but I think we can be right in that next tier of teams. Top 25

February 2, 2036
#1 Utah State (16-2) at Oklahoma (11-6) The campus is filled with excitement as we host the #1 team in the nation. Shortly after tip off, all the excitement was gone. We never were competitive and lost, 78-61. Whatley led us with just 14 points. Ford scored 11 with 16 boards and Cardenas had 13.
February 6, 2036 Colorado State (6-13) at Oklahoma (11-7) Col. State is struggling this season and we don’t help them out. We take care of business at home, 90-68. Whatley led us in scoring with 25 points. Ford is stepping it up, he scored 16 and had 13 boards. Pollet had 19 and Ortiz had 10.
February 9, 2036 Oklahoma (12-7) at Colorado State (6-14) We turn around and play them at home, and the result is the exact opposite. We get blown out of their gym, 92-63. That inconsistency is what is killing us this year. Lamont led the team in scoring and he came off the bench. He had 16. Pollet was hurt and only played 2 minutes. Whatley and Sandidge scored in double figures, but we were lost without our point guard.
February 11, 2036 New Mexico State (10-10) at Oklahoma (12-8) Pollet plays in this game, but is pretty ineffective and we suffer another loss, 66-60. Sandidge led the team with 14 off the bench and Whatley added 13. It might be time for shakeup in the lineup.
February 16, 2036 Southern Methodist (11-11) at Oklahoma (12-9) Lamont replaces Ortiz at the SG spot and Pinkney replaces Ford at the PF spot for this game. The moves got our offense going for sure, as we crushed them, 110-65. Pollet led the team in scoring with 36 points and Whatley had 26. The real story of the game was red shirt freshman Pinkney. He scored 18 and pulled down 18 boards in his first ever start.
Mid Month Recap
We are hanging in there and can still finish in the upper half of the table. Hopefully we found something with this new lineup. Top 25

Texas (14-7) at Oklahoma (13-9) The offense keeps clicking with this new lineup and we sweep Texas on the season with a 99-74 win. Whatley went off for 37 points today. Pollet had 17 with 9 boards. Lamont had 16 with 9 assists. Sandidge added 10 off the bench.
February 23, 2036 Oklahoma (14-9) at Oklahoma State (12-11) We put together another solid effort and come away with our 3rd straight win today, 83-76, on the road. Whatley is turning it on, he had 29 in the winning effort. Lamont and Pollet each scored in double figures as well.
February 27, 2036 Oklahoma (15-9) at Southern Methodist (12-13) We are peaking at just about the right time. We win this one 80-64. Another road win and another 27 point performance from Whatley. Stotts showed up on offense for once with 16 points. Pollet scored the same.
February Recap
We have a great chance to get the 3 seed in the tournament right now. Top 25

March 5, 2036
Oklahoma (16-9) at Iowa State (15-11) Well, so much for peaking. Actually, we didn’t play bad at all on offense, but our defense could not stop them. Not even once it seemed. Whatley went for 33 but their SF outdid him and scored 40.
March 8, 2036 Tulane (10-16) at Oklahoma (16-10) We just throw this game away, which should have been an easy win. We lose though, 72-60. Whatley had 16 and Pollet 15, and that was about it.
March 12, 2036 Oklahoma (16-11) at Tulane (11-16) We come right back and get a win on their court to close out the regular season. The final here was 77-73. I would say we need to win 1 or 2 Big 12 tournament teams to make the NCAA’s.
Final Standings
We pick up the 4 seed in the conference tournament. March 14, 2036 (4) Oklahoma (17-11) vs. (5) Tulane (19-10) What a tough loss and it might cost us a spot in the tournament. No defense was played at all in this game, we just traded baskets all night long. The halftime score was 63-53 and we ended up on the wrong side of a 107-106 game.
Oklahoma State beat Kansas for the Big 12 tournament title. Final top 25

Post-Season
We sneak into the NCAA tournament as an 11 seed. With the talent we have, I would say we are a dangerous 11 seed. Or we can get blown out in the first round. March 21, 2036 (6) Tulsa (20-11) vs. (11) Oklahoma (17-12) Two big 12 teams from the same state square off in the first round of the NCAA tournament. This one goes to us, 79-70 as we pull of the upset and move on to round two, with a chance to get to my first Sweet 16! Whatley scored 22 to lead the way into the second round.
March 23, 2036 (3) #12 Temple (23-11) vs. (11) Oklahoma (18-12) Our run once again comes to an end before the round of 16. We get killed today, 91-60. Season over.
Final Four #1 Utah State (from the Big 12) #8 Brigham Young (riding the #1 recruiting class) #5 Iowa #7 St. Joseph’s Brigham Young takes that great freshman class all the way to the title (kinda like Syracuse last year in real life, huh?). Cal State Northridge wins the NIT title. AWARDS Francois Pollet was named to the Big 12 2nd team Duane Whatley was named to the Big 12 1st team. Lonny Lamont, Charles Sandidge, and Kelvin Pinkney were all named to the Big 12 freshman team. Season Stats

Off Season
Our prestige dropped 1 point, to 83. The AD is still satisfied with my performance. He still expects me to compete for the conference title. As expected, we have the #1 ranked recruiting class in the nation! Time to start making something happne here! Well, I am never going to get a chance to see how this recruiting class pans out under my guidance. SYRACUSE HAS COME CALLING AFTER THEY FIRED THEIR COACH. HE LED THEM TO YET ANOTHER FIRST ROUND NCAA LOSS.

While I would love to stay in Oklahoma as I think something big is brewing here, the goal in this dynasty is to eventually take over Syracuse and lead them to a National Championship.
One more step to take!

WhoooHooooo! Congrats! After your start with Colgate I was concerned. Especially when you were wandering around in a druken stupor. I hope you don't get that Larry Brown label as a wanderer though, changing teams so often.
Can any of your recruits get out of their letter of intent and come follow you to Syracuse? |

Haji,
This is my final teaem in this dynasty (unless I get fired, the AD expects me to reach the Final Four!). It would be great of you can try and talk the recruits into following you, but the game does not work that way. You can bring your coaches over if they agree to it though.

Off Season
All 3 of my assistant coaches have followed me to Syracuse. We were invited, as a #2 seed, to the Maui Invitational. We accept. We have 8 games to schedule, all of them can be home games as well. Here are the OOC teams we schedule: Manhattan Providence (Old Big East team) Hartford (Now in the PAC 10!) Villanova (another old Big East team) Columbia Albany (In state) Colgate (First school, and in state) Binghamton (In state) We have 2 scholarships to fill this season. We don’t get anybody in the early signing period. One of our top recruits has decided to enter the draft. We are in the running for a few great looking players though.

2036-2037 Syracuse Roster
CENTERS 11 Stephen Alanis C Jr 6'10" 253 San Francisco, CA Stephen is our starting center this year. He looks to be unstoppable on offense down in the paint. He can also step out an hit the occasional three pointer. He does not give us much in the way of rebounding, but his defense should be adequate. 50 Alfonso Horst C Fr 6' 9" 224 Richmond, VA This true freshman has a lot of potential. He already has a few nice offensive moves, and his rebounding is better than our starter, so if we are getting killed on the boards, he will be able to step in and help out. 12 David Moreno C Fr 6'10" 237 Windsor, CA Moreno gets a red shirt this season. POWER FORWARDS 4 Jack Medlin PF Jr 6' 9" 211 Tyngsborough, MA Jack is a very similar player to Alanis. His is going to score a lot of points for us in the paint. His rebounding is better than Alanis, but not terrific. His defense is about the same. He will start for us at the PF spot. 40 Michael Hurt PF So 6' 6" 226 Lake Placid, FL Mike is a walk on, but has some nifty offensive moves. He does not bring much else to the table though and will be very limited in his court time. 44 Frank Archer PF So 6' 9" 239 Moreno Valley, CA Another walk on. Slightly better than Hurt, overall, but still won’t see a ton of playing time. SMALL FORWARDS 0 Houston Johnson SF Jr 6' 8" 225 Honolulu, HI Yet another walk on. His defense is tremendous, but really does not do anything else at all. 55 Laurence Ford SF Fr 6' 7" 231 Oakridge, OR This freshman red shirted last year. He has an odd combination of skills. He can score down low, but is much better defensively from the outside. I will try to get him some time, but not sure how much I can really give him. 31 Oscar Tinsley SF Fr 6' 7" 252 Montgomery, NY Oscar gets a red shirt this year. SHOOTING GUARDS 13 Arthur Whitney SG Sr 6' 3" 178 Gibsonburg, OH Arthur is our starting SG. He is a terrific shooter and can score anywhere on the court, even in the paint among the trees. His defense is pretty good as well. 22 Eric Price SG So 6' 2" 179 Santa Ana, CA Another walk on (No wonder the last coach got canned). 2 Kendall Scalise SG So 6' 5" 201 Fallston, MD Scalise is our best shooter on the team, and he is young and will improve drastically over the years as well. His defense is great from the outside, and while the SG spot would be ideal for him, he will get the start at SF for now. POINT GUARDS 30 Kevin Quick PG Sr 6' 4" 181 Alta, IA Quick is a great point guard. He will start. He never loses the ball, always makes the smart pass and can drain the shot if nobody is open. His defense is a bit lacking, but should be OK. 24 Clifton Julien PG Jr 6' 1" 179 Plant City, FL Clif is a walk on with great eyes for the open man. He will actually get a few minutes here and there. 25 Peter Wing PG Jr 6' 4" 203 Milford, CT Peter is a great shooter, great passer and great defender. Probably should start, but will see a ton of playing time anyway.
