Who's chewing gum in here?
I'm wondering how many of you folks chew gum regularly (or semi-regularly, even, I guess). If so, what are your favorite brands/flavors? I've recently started chewing gum often, and I'm partial to Stride Spearmint and Stride Always Mandarin. I've also recently tried Bubblicious Sour Apple and Bubblicious Burst, but the flavor disappeared very quickly on those two. I bought a pack of Hershey's Ice Breakers last week, and I was pretty happy with that. I bought a pack of Dentyne Classic today, and I'd forgotten how weak it is.
What about the rest of you?

I chew gum a lot. There's maybe a couple hours in the day where I don't chew. I almost always have some kind of mint gum too.

I usually pick up a pack of Dentyne Ice or Trident White when I am at Costco.

Dentyne Ice, Excel (called Eclipse in the U.S. I think), and 5ive or whatever it's called (with the slick packaging) are the three I most often carry around. I do have Stride once in awhile, but that's fourth on my list.

I get the Trident Tropical Twist. My jaw gets sore from chewing it because the flavor lasts so long. I've tried the watermelon flavor, but it's not nearly as good as tropical twist.

Extra wintergreen. The flavor lasts extra, extra long. We like it because the gum doesn't disintegrate, doesn't harden, and is reasonably small....especially when compared to bubbalicious.

Is that so? I should give that Tropical Twist a shot. I'm looking to expand my gum horizons.

I am really intrigued by that Eclipse/Excel thing. I wonder if Wrigley's has renamed any of their other products for the Canadian market. Since I really want to know, I should look into that. Yes.

Well, damn. Just from a quick look at Wikipedia, it looks like Excel was around long before Eclipse. So Wrigley actually renamed Excel for the US. Weird. I'm going to keep researching this, though.

That must be how they came up with the Eclipse name when they introduced it to the US! AND I THINK WRIGLEY'S CONTROLS THE SUN, TOO!

So they found a name they liked (Excel), and then franticly tried to find an image. Instead of using a Hyundai Excel, they used an eclipse. Then after they trademarked and printed packaging, they realized that Eclipse would be a better name... so they changed it for the U.S.?

I'm a big fan of strawberry gum, usually Bubbalicious. However, the flavour dies down really quick and then makes your mouth taste like ass, so it's a double-edged sword. I find it helps to jam another piece in as soon as the flavour is wearing off, but by the third piece the wad is so big my mouth gets sore.
I've also been known to like the strawberry 'tape' gum, but that goes bad even quicker. I can burn through a roll of that stuff in no time, like 30 minutes. So good though. When it isn't appropriate to be spitting gum into little wrappers every 5 minutes, I like peppermint Excel or Dentyne Ice. I think there is also a berry flavoured Trident brand that I enjoy. And now you know!

I've always wondered how gold teeth work. Do they actually pull your original teeth and replace them with gold ones? Or are they plates that sit on the fronts? If you get tired of them, can you just have them taken off, or would you need some kind of other false teeth? And are they 100% gold? Like, is each tooth worth thousands of dollars?

I would like to know those answers too. I assumed they were caps, and were partly real gold. Instead of getting white caps, you can get gold ones. Prove me wrong Noop! |

I've never had caps on my teeth so I'm not really sure how those work either.

I am a gum addict...I literally have 6 or 7 packs of gum in my purse at any given time. Off the top of my head I have a Tropical Twist flavor, Sangria flavor, Pomegranate, Berry, some other fruit kind, and 1 or 2 that I am forgetting. I also have at least 1 pack of tic tacs and there really amazing Iced Tea Mints that I found in both Peach and Raspberry flavors. Yes...I carry a really large purse!

LOL - no it' s a fruit. It's one of the "in" fruits right now b/c it has all those antioxidants and crap in it. It's really yummy gum, tart at first but then mellows out and is just good... |
