Question Whats the best PC football sim game out there right now?

Whats the best sim (no "klick the button" game i. e. Madden, ESPN).
I think about brain sim. Like our FOF07.

If you like college Football, I still think the best college Football game out right now is BBCF which is several years old.

For pro football, people probably would debate that a bit more.. I'm thinking the most recent FOF from a few years ago is probably the best still though. We're expecting new football games coming out this year though which may or may not be better or more enjoyable.

It depends on what you want in my opinion. FOF, BBCF are good to do dynasty type stuff but Second and Ten is a fantastic value.

I think DDSPF looks pretty good. Hopefully it will come out in a couple of months.

Speaking of Second and Ten type replay games, has anyone played the Strat O Matic football game? I used to really enjoy the card game but have never ordered the computer version.

Oh, and actually for replay games like that, Tom Landry Strategy Football was an unheralded masterpiece that's hard to top. XOR was pretty good too.

I like more dynasty games though and FOF2K7 wins there hands down so far.

All I'll say is that FOF isn't customizable enough...

True but if that's ALL you can say, that's still high praise.

I still think Bareback pussy fuck is going to be released this summer. Seriously are they actually going to name it BBPF?

Doing bbpf with providers is dangerous.

Well, I guess there goes our planned slogan: "Go deep with BBPF"

BBPF is still in the BETA process and I've learned nothing can be gained of giving artificial release dates before the game is ready. Keep tabs on the Grey Dog forums and we will let everyone know as we get closer.

Arles, if you stick with that you may attract a whole new type of customer base. Perhaps you should widen your intended audience?

Well, the finances are broken, the drafting AI is very questionable, the MP is clunky, HOF criteria is off, the UI is reminiscent of the late 90s, and there's very little feedback on how you can affect the game (many things are just mysteries...maybe just dice rolls) just off the top of my head.

Inactive players don't get rings (design decision) and the player contract system is somewhat remedial (another design decision). Stadium options are limited (design decision).

That being said, I love the game. It does a lot of things right, but there is significant room for improvement.

I looked into strat-o-matic, but considering each season is $$$ and you get them all with 2nd and 10, strat would have to be perfect to justify it. And I always preferred Statis Pro's board game to strat. I miss that game.

I tried the demo of BBCF now. And well,......itīs great.
Deep statīs and for a textsim a eyecatcher.
I ordered it now.
But itīs college football. So I cant find my Cowboys. But that doesenīt matter much cause on pro football games I canīt find Staubach and all the other Dallas heros of my youth.

Do you now Gray Dog Software is developing BBPF Bowl Bound Pro Football?

So we will have BBPF from Gray Dog Software and DDSPF from Wolverin Studios! I hope ASAP!!!
One of it for my PC and EA Sports for my trashcan.
Iīm very interessting in both Games. Wich will be deeper, mind blowing and at least more fun and satisfaction to play.

What are you thinking about BBPF and DDSPF?
Will one of these games make a new topranking?

If you like BBCF alot, many of us (myself included) find it to be one of the best online league sim games out there, and many people enjoy it far more in online play than solo play. There are a handful of really good leagues out there as well if that is your type of thing.

Just in case you don't know, there are historical rosters and draft classes available for FOF2007.
