Because once it is confirmed, the news will leak. It takes a while to get the body positively identified.

Exactly. Dude hasn't made a real appearance in years, has been in poor health, and they haven't been able to pull off even a minor incident in this country since 2011. It's nice that we finally get the guy mostly responsible for 9/11, but I don't think his death means anything for our national security going forward or anything.

My buddy did call me in Columbus and said people are in the streets lighting fireworks and what not. Then again, he lives on campus so its probably just a reason to party for most of them.
