Do I Dare?
As some of you may know, I recently had an offer accepted on a townhouse, and am due to settle on the 9th of September (and if you didn't know, consider this me formally telling you ).
Since my last ankle surgery on 6/25/04, I've had my crutches. I've moved them from an apartment in College Park, MD to my parent's house in Columbia out to where I live now in Ashburn, VA. Since getting off the crutches following the last ankle surgery, I haven't needed them, but I've sort of thought that keeping them around might help stave off any future ankle problems. I'm trying to pack up my apartment, and do not relish moving them for a 3rd time. I think I may actually need one more surgery (to remove hardware, if nothing else), but I think it's time to get rid of the crutches. What do y'all say, does FOFC's most injury-prone poster dare throw away the crutches? /tk

I could use them for a week or so. I tweaked my ankle last week. Going jogging today seems to have killed it. Ship them to me to use, and I will send them to the new place when I am done. That way you can say you didn't really move them this time.

As someone who has had major surgery done to my ankle which killed my football career, I would keep the crutches. I keep mine as a reminder of what I gain from not being able to play football.

You're just asking for bad karma if you ditch the crutches
