No 2013 leagues on FOFC so far. The only league right now is the NCAA 2012 league (The Ladder).

Thanks Kodos. Your league is the reason I started looking. It's been fun following along

You're welcome to join us if you like. This may be our last season, or it may go on, depending on how guys feel.

It's only our third season, although I see the appeal of moving up to 13 or something. But if we're only going to run 3 seasons, I'll go back to single player dynasties.

Yeah, with having to wait for the patch before we started last fall, we haven't gotten all that far. And now it seems clear to me that at least as far as offline play goes, 2013 is superior to 2012. One idea I had was for each owner to create a teambuilder clone of their roster after we head into the next offseason. Then we could import those teams into 2013 and continue on. It wouldn't be perfect, but it would allow us to use the superior version of the game (no super LBs, no psychic DBs, deeper recruiting plus dynamic conference prestige).
Just a thought. It would take some work for each owner. I would only go for that option if everyone was on board. Otherwise, we'd just stick with 2012, warts and all. Muns, if you want to take over Kansas, they have had a human owner until very recently, so you wouldn't be left with one of the other teambuildered teams that's been controlled by the cpu since the start (Towson, Yale, Wake Forest, and Wyoming were also teambuildered at the start, I believe). Thanks for the offer Kodos but I got rid of my 2012 version. I'll just see what EA has on their forums. Plus I wouldn't be looking forward to greg whooping on me like he used to in ootp |

That is an intriguing idea to keep it going in 13, especially if you can create the same setups and we can move the existing pitch values over.

We can get the pitches in for the most part. There may be some that we can't edit. Will have to research that a bit. The only problem I anticipate is the existing rosters in Teambuilder may not have the right number of guys at each position -- some of our low-rated guys may not be able to be fit onto the rosters, depending on the numbers of guys at each position. There is no create a player in teambuilder, and I don't believe you can switch positions for players either.

I love the idea of importing into 2013 and continuing. Either way, I am looking forward to continuing the ladder.

I hope the ladder sticks around in the 12 process...as I don't know if I am upgrading to 13...

What if we throw in this beautiful hand-carved Buffalo Bulls action figure?

Anyone else care to weigh in on whether they are for or against migrating to NCAA 2013?

I was not intending to buy 13. But if this is indeed the will of the council, Duke would see it done.

I certainly don't want to force anyone to buy '13 if they weren't planning to already, although, as stated above, I do believe '13 is a better game.
I think we should just stick with '12 unless you guys decide you do want to upgrade. |

Amazon.com: NCAA Football 13: Xbox 360: Video Games - there's some 3rd party called "Game Buyer" that has it around $45 shipped, I'm digging into them a bit to see how legit they are.

I found a deal for it, so I have a copy at home and am ready to figure out how to TeamBuilder my team.

I figure we should wait until we finish offseason recruiting, players leaving and training camp before we start the transition. Does that sound like a good plan?

I am fine with it. Are we able to port the league over? Or do we start over?

We can each recreate our rosters and pitches in teambuilder, then import those teams. Cpu rosters will be different, but we should be able to get things mostly similar in the new game.
