My suggestion would be Alliance.
Will this be PVP or PVE? |

Well, it should be one of the new servers, so there won't be much PvP going on.. we'll either have to get someone to L10 to start the guild or bring someone over (maybe bring someone over with a lot of money to pay for our starting stuff? )

I've got plenty of alliance characters, actually looking forward to trying a blood elf when I return home to see what the new area is like so I vote horde, but either works.

I think we should decide on a server, and then we all can get the alts started. Shouldn't take very long for some of us to hit L10.

whoever brings their character over will have plenty of free transfer servers... I'd prefer a rather new server, I am an alliance player, but up to whomever

Posted a companion poll for server type. Figured we could get everything straightened out and started up. Just wish I could be an actual part of it but will jump in once I get back home (in 33 days ).

Let's be honest here...the lesbian blood elves are going to attract those types to the Horde.

I voted Horde, simply because I have played the majority of my WoW on the Alliance side, and would prefer to see the other side of the coin. I really don't mind either way, however.

In my opinion, Horde is so much better and more fun to play it's not even funny.

Since the choice was Horde, I chose a new RP-Server (Moon Guard), and created a Blood Elf Paladin to get things started (Dauren)

Can I join you guys? I've never played this before, but I just picked it up. I don't have the expansion though.

Spleen, you'll be able to join the guild, but you'll have to wait to meet us, we are in the Blood Elf area (which is expansion only)
MacroGuru: It's Moon Guard

Horde!

Ok, I'll make a Blood Elf Blood Knight there . Though that'd make two BE Paladins in our guild. Hmmm... maybe I should choose another class.

I'm trying to decide what class to choose. I've already got a Paladin, Hunter and Rogue...maybe a Priest or a Warlock? Can Blood Elves be Warlocks?

Yeah, BEs can be Warlocks.. and the added benefit that on an RP server, usually Warlocks and Paladins would be like oil and water, but with Blood Knights that isn't a concern .
edit: BEs can be any class aside from Warrior, Shaman, and Druid.

I'm sure it wouldn't take very long to meet up with a portal to the Undercity(The Undead capital city) having been set up in Silvermoon. So don't let the fact that you can't start out with us dissuade you.

Do you guys have a recommended way of getting the patches?
I currently have the 2.00 version. When I try to play, the Blizzard Downloader pops up and it tries p2p to download what I need. It estimates it will be about 5 hours to download. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a bitTorrent client, you can DL then far, far faster.
It's under Program Files\World of Warcraft\Cache.

I quit WoW a few months back due to the extreme raiding, but I could get into some casual playing. Maybe I'll grab the expansion.
Is Moon Guard a brand new server that started with the expansion? |

Finally got to play!
Is it worth it for me to join your Guild without the expansion? I started my character on the Moon Guard server just in case. If I am going to join, how do I do it?

Basically, once we get going, I purchase a guild charter, and get everyone to sign it, and then we're official.
Hmm.. for a name that represents FOFC without being silly.. Foffsee? Guild Solecismic?

I'd say its still worth it without the expansion, especially considering the biggest thing about it (Outland) can't be accessed until level 58 anyways.
So we are playing on Moon Guard...and I choose Horde

Why not? I mean we'll all end up in the Barrens at some point . I'll start my FOFC Warcraft Guild character a bit later tonight. I have to weigh whether to be a Priest (Shadow), Rogue, or Paladan (Blood Knight).

I hope to call my Blood Elf Slaton when I get in. Dunno if it's taken or not.
I vote for Trout Warriors or Front Office Fanatics sounds good too. Last edited by WVUFAN : 01-20-2007 at 05:18 PM. |
