HS Girls Basketball Thread :)
Yes, I am starting a thread about girls HS basketball. Why? My freshman daughter plays. And I was reading the paper today and they had the season previews in it. She got a mention. Not by name, but its her.
The quote is "Spuhl(the coach) reported there is another 6-1 freshman in the system, but she will likely start the season on the subvarsity." I talked to the coach today. He said it wont be long before she gets the call up. Another reason for this thread is the fact our team is picked to finish 3rd in our conference. Why does that matter? To point out how good our conference is. We return 5 starters. 4 are seniors. We go 6'2", 5'11", 5'10" in our front court, Our back court features a school record setting 3 point shooter and a pass first PG. Tough conference. Also, I want to keep you guys updated on how my daughter is doing. And I would like to hear about teams you are following.

Finals tonight for both V and JV in a tournament.

Sorry. JV lost. But Varsity won.
It has been a real good season for the Varsity. They are 13-2. The 2 losses came to Incarnate Word that has won 5 out of the last 6 state tourneys. And Parkway North who has a D1 PG. We are a good team. Ranked 5 in the area in small schools by the St Louis Post Dispatch. And 5 in state class 4. Its a fun team to watch. Daughter hasnt been called up yet. But its a tough team to crack. Im hoping she is getting close.

My daughter got her Varsity Jersey Monday. And tonight, she made her debut. Got in the 2nd quarter with 2 minutes left. She got a steal and a rebound.
I am a very proud Dad. Lots of time and effort went into this. Almost in tears.
