Tough call. I think TCY needs the overhaul more, but it might be worth keeping the momentum and gigantic lead FOF has over the industry going.

As I move more and more into the category of "college football fan" over "pro football fan," I still find myself way more into the pro game for video games/sims.

I want a more detailed FOF and more multiplayer focused.. more OOTP-like features.. customizable league sizes, player profiles in HTML output..

and more input from TCY into FOF ;-) (so a TCY1.5 patch would be a good starter) ;-)

A new version of FOF would presumably kill any "history" in multiplayer leagues, would it not? That is, the league would either have to continue on with the old version or start fresh from ground zero with the new.

I'll say TCY2.

It's been a lot longer for TCY so I would want to see that. Im not too thrilled with BBCF as it stands. TCY is much more simplistic but so much more fun

I'd love TCY2, only because I like college football more than the NFL, though I am probably in the minority.

Other than "improve FA AI", I'm not sure there's much more I'd add to FOF.

I'll say TCY2.

Since he's participating in IHOF, I would suspect that he is putting that into consideration for any update.

Since I haven't purchased BBCF, I'll choose TCY 2. I still play the original TCY, but I'd love to see an update.

I bought BBCF, but that said, Jim's previous releases have been good for literally years of enjoyment for me. We're closing in on a decade of me having at least one version of FOF installed continuously.

I'd say that's earned some carte blanche from me. Pro or collegiate football, or any other sport into which he may delve in the future, I'll still reach for my wallet as long as his future releases meet the same standards of quality his previous releases have.

TCY? Cool. It badly needs a fresh coat of paint.

FOF? Also cool. I'd love to see that game reach the immersion level of FM and EHM.

It has to be TCY. The FOF series is SOLID. TCY leaves a lot to be desired. TCY 2 with playcalling, multiplayer, and less micromanaging.

That just me.

I think SackAttack in post #15 and KJDelaney in post #16 hit the nail on the head for me too.

Either would make me a happy camper. But if it is TCY2, and it is as solid as FOF is now, the many hours of great game time will make the wait worth while.

What exactly is it that people think can be added to FOF to make it that much better?

TCY has so much more room for potential, just in the nature of the game. Dare I dream of TCY multiplayer?

Gotta wonder which sells better, what with all of this family focus for the past two years.

See the "Ideas for FOF6" thread. There are tons of ideas in there. Obviously it is opinion that they will make the game that much better, but there is definitely room for more stuff to be added to the game.

As for TCY2, I can't speak for because I have never played the game, I am more of a pro football fan. But if he is updating both and then will release when ready, I think everyone of us gets a little something.

I will buy any game Jim releases, as long as it isn't a college sports game.

I agree with Antmeister that combining TCY and FOF into one game would be best. One product to support and update, leaving more time for a completely new product or two down the line.

Yeah, that is why I cant get into a College Football game. I like the ability to watch players careers for more than 4 years.

MP TCY??? What like 100+ different AD's or GM's? That is a ton of coding I would think.

FOF is really solid now, plus with FOF2 still very much alive for me and FOF2004 doing wonders in the IHOF, I'd rather see TCY get updated.

Front Office Football is the flagship title and will remain so even when another sport is added.

TCY2 really needs a face lift.

I'll buy either one, and actually prefer more FOF. But the reality is that I'm already playing the heck out of FOF and haven't touched TCY in a while.

Either way, I'll be happy.

I'd put my money on TCY2. I think it would be a good idea. Since FOF5 is so much newer, he might get more sales long term if he developed a TCY2

Dola: I think a bigger question to ask is if Jim plans to base his decision on what the majority of people here want? Or even if what we want would have a small influence on it.
