Does he have money? I imagine that would be important to a celebrity, to be with someone that's not just leeching off you.

That's funny, because I was just speaking of Natalie Portman like three and a half months ago.

Natalie has lost some of her luster. Her movies are generally crap, and her taste in men apparently parallels her taste in movie scripts.

Awhile ago I had a conversation with a friend of mine. I asked why everyone made such a big deal over Portman. I think she's good looking, but people act like she's Scarlett Johansson. He explained that Portman seems attainable, unlike Johansson who isn't, and that makes guys more attracted to her, because they think in the right scenario, they'd probably be able to get her.

And I see he was correct.

Personally, I find Natalie Portman more attractive than Scarlett Johansson.

I am not sure if it's the attainability thing or if it has to do with the fact that Scarlett Johansson comes off as being pretty annoying. I also find her face to be a bit soft and squishy looking. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crackers, but she just doesn't do it for me as much as some other actresses like, for example, Natalie Portman, Kate Winslett, Rosario Dawson, Famke Janssen, Angelina Jolie, and many others.

She's way too hot to be dating someone as nasty looking as Devendra Banhart. Has she lost her mind?!?

So what exactly is a Devendra Banhart anyway? I've never heard of this fellow. Sounds like the name of a female Motown singer.

Ummm....wow.

Devendra Banhart actually makes Corey Feldman look like a catch.

WTF is wrong with these hollywood women anyway? They must have all been dropped on their heads during childhood.

The Other Boleyn was decent, but kinda boring. Basically, she has never matched the potential she showed in Beautiful Girls. A few were good, like Garden State, Boleyn, etc. But in general, I have been disappointed in her movies.

There is a story on People.com today, he did a folk song and a "bollywood" themed video that she starred in...

[IMG][/IMG]

Story:

Quote:
Folk rocker Devendra Banhart has enlisted girlfriend Natalie Portman in his latest project: the music video for his new single, "Carmensita."

Styled as a Bollywood send-up – with cheeky subtitles and silly special effects to boot – the musician casts Portman as a princess whom he must save with his "rebellious beard." (You just have to see it!)

When they're not in sync onscreen, battling snakes and fire, the happy couple have been spotted together, hanging out everywhere from New York's West Village to Israel.

That's it -- to women, if you're a musician, you're starting at about an 8, no matter how nasty you look. That's your floor. I thought everybody knew this already.

Did you enjoy V? I don't know, I thought you were meaning you'd prefer her to do sexy summer roles that all of the top Hollywood chicks do... but I like her career path so far. And remember, she's still pretty young.

As a woman, I would just like that say that he is not attractive and I would not go out with him...

Now, shave his scruffy beard, cut his scraggly hair, and then we'll see...certainly it would be an improvement.

Never should quit music lessons and started shaving.

And you people who don't see the appeal of Natalie Portman ... I just don't understand you. It's unexplainable.

Just to add a bit of disturbing info...I remember reading an interview with Mr. Banhart where he mentioned the fact that he really doesn't like to bathe...often going weeks at a time without a shower. Seems like a catch to me...

Anywhere But Here and Where the Heart Is both have their problems, but she is excellent in both of those movies. I think she was also terrific in Closer, Garden State, and Cold Mountain. I don't think anyone can blame her for the Star Wars trilogy. With the clunky dialogue and an awful costar, I'm not sure any actress would be able to survive that mess.
