Historical Files post latest patch

I am very sorry if this was brough up in a previous thread.

I was starting a historical career post version d patch. I got to the end of the season and tried to advance to the next year. The game froze and corrupted the free agent file (or so it said). The other save from the post patch works fine, just the historical roster (1970).

Anybody else experience this? Was the game changed in a way that the roster no longer works?

Note: I did have auto save on, something that i don't normally do. I haven't tried same scenario with autosave off.

thanks

Threadjack:

NFL History for FOF2004 and Patch D Using Historical Files

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just a thought. Would anyone who has simulated 20-30 years using the FOF Historical Files be willing to zip up their universe file for other people to use. It would save a lot of time and frustration to just simply use a community file instead of simulating thirty years ourselves.

If no one else would do it, I would be happy to if anyone else was interested?

Any thoughts?

Mike

(By the way, using patch D with the historical files works very well on moderate inflation. Over ten years, the highest non Kicker/Center I've seen in free agency has a future rating of 55, and most available at the skill positions are older and have seen better days, (similar to the current NFL). Also, I have seen a QB drafted 1st overall 3 times in a row between 1982-84)

What would you consider moderate inflation?
