Movies that you have absolutely no idea why you love

The first one that comes to mind for me is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I've never done any drugs, but this random movie is watchable every single time it's on for me.

I'm sure I'll come up with others later, but that was the first one I thought of (while watching it for like the 10th time).

"A League of Their Own." I have seen that movie well over a dozen times. I used to catch it on cable all the time and always watched it through the end. I know why I like it, though. It makes me laugh.

As Good As It Gets. I'm not sure if it holds up over time, and from about the 2/3 mark, it starts to get a bit eh...but Nicholson is fantastic in that movie.

I have a some fun stupid action movies on my shelf: Demolition Man, True Lies (I'll argue that's fairly smart for an action movie), Gone in 60 Seconds, etc

Is this really considered a "bad movie"? I love Starship Troopers. Very high replay value for me.

Howard the Duck. Dumb movie, but I love it.

Yes, Starship Troopers is considered a bad movie. It has it's moments, but more of a like for me.

True Lies is awesome, but Kindergarten Cop is an even more awesome Schwarzenegger gem. Arnold turned in an Oscar worthy performance and the movie is now considered a classic. I watch it whenever it's on tv and I've never once regreted it.

Imdb.com has a user rating of 7.0 for Starship Troopers, which is pretty good. I honestly haven't heard any bad feedback about this movie ever. Everyone I know who has seen it loves it. Strange... I guess it must have fared poorly from the critics or something?

Haven't seen this, but didn't a whole bunch of footage get cut from the final release, making it hard to follow the plot? At least I think it was this movie I was reading about...

Demolition Man is a great choice. Still want to know what the three seashells was about.

I agree that True Lies is a solid movie and doesn't belong in this thread.

Ahh.. thought of another one - Sahara.

I would have said U-571, but realize that I pretty much love any sub movie good or bad. Except K-19 The Widow maker, I did not like that one...

It's a very underrated movie, and far more clever than people give it credit for.

Score one more for "Hudson Hawk", and add "The fifth element" to the list.

Starship Troopers was quite impressive for a movie that basically changed from one story to another mid-filming.
