Far Cry 2

Wow.. really loving this FPS thus far. Loved the original too.. so it's not surprising.

Plays more like GTA in the jungle than Far Cry to me, but YMMV.

Do yourself a favor and save periodically and never overwrite your previous saves -- there's a glitch in the game that can prevent you from starting any more missions and the only proven workaround is to revert to a previous save a try a different mission path.

Thanks dacman!

I agree, it's much different than the first.. in fact a review somewhere mentioned why it's even called Far Cry 2.. but it does have some openess to it.. just not as much as the original.

It's just one of those games for me - much like COD 4 - that really has me wanting to play it every free moment I have. It says I'm like only 4% done so far and I've been playing it quite a bit. The last mission took me quite awhile since I went off the beaten path a few times.

Something satisfying when I see two men talking on a river boat, when only seconds later they hear the sound of a rocket just before it hits their boat and kills them seconds later.
