Tiger Woods is Pissed!?!?!?

There's an article on ESPN.com about how Tiger Woods is pissed because the PGA didn;t name Mark O'Meara as the Ryder Cup Captain for 2006. Tiger has some really good points (why didn;t they appoint Mark as captain?). but I'm surprised that we finally see this side of Tiger. Makes him a little more human.

he should be more pissed when he doesn't make the next ryder cup team the way he's playing.

You do realize he is 4th on the money list, 2nd in the world rankings and has finished in the top 10 in 14 of the 19 events he has played in right? Certainly he has not been as dominant as he was a few years ago, but all this talk of how terrible he has played is just silly.

Edit: Heh dolphin beat me to the point.

He should also point a finger at himself for being to busy to speak at Charlie Sifford's Hall of Fame ceremony.

I believe that DVH is referring to Tiger's poor Ryder Cup play, not to his general play.

I don't think he was. His statement refered to the way "he's playing" in the present tense.

Ryder Cup play has nothing to do with making the Ryder Cup team.

Okay then, I hope DVH was referring to Woods barely adequate 7-11-2 record in Ryder Cup play.

I meant Ryder Cup play. Playing makes it sound like he's horrible, which he obviously isn't, but the fact he's getting upset over this is a joke. He won't admit he's not the same player that dominated the sport, and always fills us in with excuses or generic responses, but now this steams him. After what happened at the last Ryder Cup, I'd look for as many new faces as I could, because it can't get much worse.

$300 million the bank, a name and brand in himself. Not too hard to marry a hot wife. I mean, look at Donald Trump.

Do you have any idea how the team is selected?

My father has met most of the PGA tour players over the last 20 years or so, and he tells me that Mark O'Meara and Greg Norman were probably the most unpleasant guys he had met. Maybe, if he is the same around fellow players, he would not be a popular captain with them.

Yeap, but Tiger has one thing that no other golfers really have. He can sell tickets, bring in dollars to the event and bring tv viewers.

However that has no bearing on whether or not he makes the team.

A rock, paper, scissors tournament.
