I remembered watching him, along with Willis and Frazier, on the 1969-1970 Knicks.

Why do you think Anrhy likes the Civil War so much? Because the sucker fought in it!

Hmm, the Knicks and the White Sox from 40 years ago... no wonder I didn't know of him. I'm not trying to be mean, I just don't understand why this is "breaking news."

Anytime a former star athlete passes away it seems to be breaking news and is tragic. He is a Hall of Famer and member of the NBA's 50 Greatest Players. It would be the same for the death of a NFL Hall of Famer who played for the Packers of the 60s.

I know him more for his time with the Pistons. He was a player/coach at age 25 or something like that.

Wasn't he also a GM or something for the Knicks later on?

Snicker.

Actually, I wasn't that far off with the GM comment:

In 1982 DeBusschere returned to the Knicks and was appointed executive vice president and director of basketball operations. He retained the post until the start of the 1986-87 season.

Artifically manufactured boy-bands that would someday become the scourge of Western Civilzation?

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. I thought it was the father, though, not the mother. Or maybe it was the Monkee's uncle, har har!
