College Football Week 5 Thread
CUSA sucked donkey balls last night with Boise whupping on Southern Miss, and Memphis blowing a 25 point lead against Arkansas State.
Tonight is WVU and USF. This should be a fun game to watch...

Agreed. I'm just disappointed that it looks like I'll have to pay for a week of ESPN's game package if I want to watch the Ducks and Bears tomorrow. I think tonight's game and that game have the potential to be the most exciting this week. |

Leavitt seems like a cool guy. He basically did the real life version of playing TCY with a SOL8 team.

I like WVU, but USF still has that underdog feel to it. I know they're a BCS team and all, but it doesn't seem like they are.

14-0 USF!
Edit: Sorry Swaggs. Maybe posting Ms WVU will help your team's chances?

Dola-
Damn...have they been allowing the camera into the replay booth all year long? That's nuts! I can't believe the NCAA is allowing that...

We're going to the Michigan-Northwestern game tomorrow. I'm psyched -- this will be the first Michigan road game I've been to. With so many places we play near Chicago, I'm surprised it took me this long to get around to it.

I know so little about her that I have no idea what you are referring to. However, if she's got a song that includes the line "this shit's bananas," then I have yet another reason not to like her. If she did a duet with Kathy Griffin, I might consider strapping a bomb to my chest and attending the show.

This half has been so bizarre I might go out, buy an ipod, and download a Gwen Stefani album to ground myself in reality.

Nitpick. Why do announcers say "right down the middle" on nearly every FG that is good? That one was certainly not right down the middle.

I am not enjoying this game, at all.
On the positive side, I know we are capable of putting points on the board in a hurry. But, on the other hand, our center blowing about one out of every eight snaps and us turning the ball over twice every quarter doesn't leave me feeling real confident. Either way, I agree with VPI, for the most part. The teams look very fast, but both look very sloppy. |

Gregg Easterbrook would be proud of USF's coach.

Six minutes left in the 3rd quarter, Gregg Easterbrook wrote "game over" in his notebook.

Did he just describe that fumble play as "the gobble on the go-down"?????

Just so we have it here, this is the obligatory "Big East sucks" post that will inevitably show up no matter who wins the game today.
Back to your regularly scheduled upset.

That was one heck of a punt and coverage at just the right time.
If anyone is actually looking for a game update, WVU is down 8 and just took over possession at their own 30. |

USF seems poised to do what UCF couldn't...pull off an upset at home. Of course, South Florida does this once a year.
