Sign Up for New Boxing Dynasty
In order to make a much more even universe of fighters, I will be starting over. I have a much better grasp of the boxing game, TBCB, from OOTP Dev. This new dynasty is intended to be very interactive. You have almost total control over your boxer, from creation to challenging others in fights and what stipulations will be on each fight.
Additionally, there will be an aging process. After 25 fights, you will start to show a bit of age. After 40 fights, there will be more deterioration and you can choose to retire and train your son at that point. After 50 fights, you are retired. (40 and 50 may be extended to 60 and 75 if this dynasty moves rapidly). Instructions on creating your fighters are below. I want to fight only FOFC fighters if possible and ignore the real professionals. That will depend on how many people sign up. Using the point scheme below, you will be rated anywhere from 12-14 from my trials, so there won't be any pushovers in the FOFC Division. First Name: Last Name: Nickname: Left or Right Handed Hometown: City, state and/or country Use 33 points among these three categories: Control vs. Boxer: How well you fight against boxers (max 15) Control vs. Slugger: How well you fight against sluggers (max 15) Power: Duh...Power! (max 13) Use 6 point among these three categories, 0 is the best, 6 is the worst, so a chin of 4 is so-so, but a chin of 0 is excellent. Chin Vs. Knockdown Chin vs. Knockout Recovery Choose 1 which you want to be better at: Resistance to cuts Absorb Punishment Use 24 points among (max 10 in each category): Killer Instinct Aggresiveness Endurance Choose if you are better at fighting inside or fighting outside Choose style: Slugger Boxer Choose foul frequency: seldom occasionally frequent Everything else will be random, but these are really the important parts of building a fighter.

It is time for the inaugural FOFC Federation Title Tournament! Our first 8 fighters, sorry Travis, will be matched up randomly in the first round of the tournament. The winners will move on to face each other until we have our first FOFC Champion! All FOFC fighters will have the following fight rules, unless otherwise agreed upon by the two fighters:
12 Round Fights Three knockdown rule is in effect. Fighters cannot be saved by the bell, except for in the 12th and final round. The Referee or ringside doctor are the only ones who may stop the fight. Three Judges will score the fight on the 10 point must system. Fight #1 from Conseco Fieldhouse in Indiana, Fight Date 3/23/2004 Kevin “Ice” Heath vs. Colton “The Blade Bomber” Mayes Obviously, this is the first fight for both fighters and they will ring in a new era in boxing: The FOFC Era. Both fighters prefer to slug it out in the ring. Both fighters appear to be in perfect shape for this fight. Heath came out aggressive to begin the fight and landed some solid punches. Late in the round, Mayes landed the cleanest shot of the round, which obviously hurt Heath. Heath looked timid after that shot and the action slowed down. Heath still takes round 1. Very few punches were thrown in round 2. Even fewer landed, but Mayes was the only one who was actually effective, so give the round to him. Round 3 sees some huge punches thrown. Neither of these guys are trying to pick each other apart, but instead are just throwing haymakers. Mayes outscored Heath about 3 to 1 in this round! Mayes is starting to take over this fight in round 4. He is landing some heavy shots and weakening Heath. Heath doesn’t seem to have much left in his punches and he is going to have to find a second wind. In round 5, Heath started to use some counterpunching to his advantage, and started landing some nice shots. He outworked Mayes in this round, but I still have to give the nod to Mayes in the 5th, but only by a slight margin. Mayes lands some nice shots early in round 6, but then he miss a wild hook and Heath counters with a combination that sends Mayes to his back! Mayes is able to get back up after a 5 count. The round comes to an end, and I think you have to score as a 2 point round for Heath. Midway through the fight, Mayes still has a lead, but it just got a whole lot smaller. Heath showed much more confidence in round 7 and as a result had a lot of success. Mayes is showing no ill effects of the knockdown though and probably outscored Heath in this round. Heath is looking better and better every round, although he did not score a clean win in this round. Mayes still has a too much left in the tank to get dominated. Score this round dead even. Heath finally get over the hump in the 9th round and scores a solid victory in this round. Mayes comes back with a huge round 10 and had Heath reaching for the ropes. The ref almost stopped the fight when the bell to end the round rang. Mayes looked tired in round 11, and Heath took advantage, dishing out the same kind of beating he received in round 10. A solid victory in the 11th leaves him with a chance to win this fight. I do have Mayes ahead, but Heath does have the knockdown, and a strong 12th could give him the edge. Both fighters are exhausted as the 12th and final round begins. When Mayes lands an uppercut, Heath’s legs just cannot support him anymore and he crumples to the canvas for a 7 count! Heath survives the 12th round, but I think his chances are slim as we go to the judges for the official decision. Eugenia Williams scores the fight 115-111 for Colton Mayes. Hugo Peniche scores it 114-112 for Kevin Heath. Medardo Villalobos scores it 115-113 for the inner, by Split Decision……COLTON ‘THE BLADE BOMBER’ MAYES!!!

Quarter Final Bout #2, from ARCO Arena in Sacramento California. Fight Date, 3/28/2004
‘Killer’ John Naumoff vs. ‘Jellybean’ Jeff Nights Both fighters enter the ring in perfect shape for this second quarterfinal bout leading up to the crowning of the first FOFC champion! Round one is a good one. No feeling each other out for these two guys, they are coming out swinging. Both fighters do some damage to each other, but Naumoff got the better of Nights in the first round. Naumoff was scoring some points on jabs early in round 2, but the momentum swung when Nights landed a big uppercut. Later in the round, the momentum swung back around with a crippling combination from Naumoff that rocked Nights backwards. I would give another round to Naumoff. Naumoff starts to take over the fight in the third, clearly dominating Nights in this 3 minute round. If Nights is not careful, he is going to find himself way behind awfully quickly tonight. Naumoff continues to dominate in round 4. He had Nights out on his feet and just covering up to survive the round. Nights finally shows up to the fight in round 5. He totally swung the momentum around in this fight, landing 3 punches to every one of Naumoffs. Nights is not ready to let this opportunity slip by him. Naumoff took a lot of punishment in that round and he was carrying his hands pretty low towards the end of the round. Nights picks up where he left off in the last round, and once again has a very impressive showing in the 6th. He landed one straight right that immediately caused a swelling on Naumoff’s right eye! We are halfway through the fight, and although I have Naumoff ahead, I think this is Nights fight to win right now. Nights goes right after that swollen eye in the 7th round and Naumoff can do little to stop the onslaught. Nights is really starting to dominate this fight, and unless Naumoff gets something going, I am not sure he will last much longer. Naumoff must have been thinking the same thing as me, because he comes out headhunting, and catches Nights square on the chin and sends him to the canvas! Nights pops right back up at the count of 2 and the round continues. Nights get out of the round, but both fighters look bad. Naumoff with a badly swollen eye and Nights with legs of jelly. Early in round 9, Nights again targets the right eye of Naumoff, and he lands a hard punch, directly on it. Naumoff’s hands go right to his eye and he takes a knee for an 8 count! Nights goes for the kill and knocks him down again at the sound of the bell. Naumoff gets right back up, almost before the count can start. His carner is working on that eye, but I don’t know if he can continue. Nights continues to work the right eye, and midway through round 10, the ref steps in to take a look. He calls the ring doctor up and it doesn’t take long for him to stop the fight! The winner, by TKO at the 1:39 mark of Round 10 is ‘JELLYBEAN’ JEFF NIGHTS!!!

Quarter Final Bout #2 from Sydney Entertainment Center in Darling Harbor, Sydney, Australia. Fight Date 4/10/2004.
Owen ‘The Bounty Hunter’ Provost vs. Chris ‘The Silver Subby’ Shue Both fighters are in perfect shape for this quarterfinal bout! Shue looks sharp in round 1. He is dancing around, jabbing, landing combinations and pretty much having his way with Provost. He almost seems cocky in the ring, and definitely not one bit afraid of Provost right now. Provost comes out for round 2 in an angry mood at Shue’s showboating and goes right after him, landing a solid uppercut right into his mouth. Shue is stunned and starting retreating. He regroups and starts boxing instead of showboating and by the end of the round has once again gained the upper hand on Provost. Lots of clinching and a marginal low blow from Shue, which drew a warning from the referee in this round. Not much action, but I would give the round to Shue for pushing the little action that there was. The action picked up a bit in round 4, but both fighters already look a bit tired. Provost from taking a lot of punches and maybe Shue from throwing so many and moving so much. This round was dead even. Round 5 was a classic. Provost was landing at will early on. Shue started counter punching with every Provost miss, and racked up a bunch of points. But late in the round, Provost didn’t miss and sent Shue into the corner where he went to work on him. This is the first clear victory for Provost in the fight. Provost keeps the momentum in round 6, and makes easy work of Shue here. We are halfway through the fight. Shue is ahead on my cards, but Provost is closing ground on him. Round 7 started out with Provost continuing to do as he pleases in the ring, but Shue, maybe out of desperation, lands a head butt in a tie up. The ref gives him a stern talk and then deducts a point from Shue. However, the head butt did what it was intended to do: slow down Provost. I would give this round to Shue, but with the point deduction, it was even. The action slowed down here in round 8, but Provost started to re-assert himself and probably took the round on the cards. Round 9 is another classic! Provost continues to dish out a real beating on Shue. Shue is fighting back just enough so the ref cannot stop this one with a clear conscious. Shue looks really hurt and Provost is gaining confidence. However, it appears Shue was playing possum because late in the round, with Provost swinging wildy, Shue opens up with a 5 punch combination that sends Provost to the canvas! He struggles to get up at the count of 8 and finally makes it out of the round! Shue can taste the victory at hand in round 10 and early on he knocks Provost down to the canvas again! Provost gets up at the count of 6 and the round continues. Provost does a great job of avoiding Shue for the rest of the round and lives to fight the 11th. Midway through round 11, Provost goes down after a series of shots to the head and body. He has trouble, but answers an 8 count. Provost again gets out of the round by avoiding Shue. Shue is a little too tired to chase him around anymore, otherwise he would have been able to finish it. Knowing he needs a knockout, Provost does everything he can to get it in the 12 th round, but he just has nothing left, and barely even wins the round. We go to the cards for the decision. Raffaele Argiolis scores the fight 116-109. Rocky Young scores it 115-109. Joe Cortez scores it 115-109 for the winner, by unanimous decision…..CHRIS ‘SILVER SUBBY’ SHUE!!!!!!

It looks like our 8 man tournament has grown to a 16 man tournament! TRO and Calis, and any other signups will either fight on the udnercards of the semi finals and finals, or if we get 6 more signups, there will be a second tournament for the #1 contender spot!

So, instead of quarterfinals, the above bouts have become opening round fights. We have 5 more opening round fights left.

Opening Round Bout #4, from the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City New Jersey. Fight Date: 04/20/2004
Bruce ‘The Letter Opener’ Babson vs. David ‘The American Bear’ Yellope Neither fighter has come to the ring in perfect shape today. Babson just looks tired, like he was up late last night. Yellope looks a little thick in the middle, like he under trained and overate. We’ll see how it affects them today. Round one was pretty even to start out, with both fighters landing a few decent shots. Babson took the round with a nice straight right and followed with an uppercut late in the round. In round 2, Yellope noticed that Babson was keeping his hands high, guarding his head, so Yellope went to work on the body, scoring a ton of points in there. An easy win for The Bear in this round. Babson continued to leave the checst and ribs open and Yellope continued to work it down there, but his low swings left his head open and Babson countered with some solid combinations that won him this round. Babson continued to do what was working for him in the last round and he has Yellope in a lot of trouble. At one point it looked like Yellope’s knee touched the canvas, but the ref missed it. Yellope is in a world of hurt right now! Yellope had a bit more success in round 5 landing punches, but he has slowed down considerably and his reflexes are not quite as fast right now. Everytime he landed a punch, Babson would land 2 in succession. In round 6, Babson is now covering his body, as all those body shots seem to be making it tough for him to breathe. Yellope adjust well and starts swinging for the head, and early in round 6, he cuts Babson open under his left eye. Yellope didn’t do much to follow up that shot though. Midway through the fight, Babson still has a decent working margin. Babson’s corner gets the blood to stop in between rounds and early in round 7, Babson draws some blood of his own. A lot of blood in fact. Yellope has a nice little cut over his right eye. The blood is spilling down into his eye, making it hard to see. If anything, that blood has pissed Yellope off because he catches Babson with an uppercut that snapped his head back and landed him on the canvas! Babson gets up after a 3 count though. Yellope couln not finish him, but he easily scored a 2 point round there. Yellope comes out in round 8 with blood still coming out of the cut, but he looks determined now. He goes back to work on Babson and midway through the round he lands a wicked hook to the side of the head that drops Babson down fast. This time it takes a 5 count for Babson to get back up. Later in the round Yellope lands a vicious right cross and Babson staggers and takes a knee for a 3 count. Yellope still cannot finish off Babson though. In round 9, Yellope’s corner has gotten the bleeding to stop, but Babson’s corner has given him some solid advice and he comes out and takes a fairly slow round 9 from Yellope. Round 10 is another slow one until Babson’s arms start drooping and Yellope starts raining combinations on him. Babson has to take a knee to avoid any more punishment, but he bounces right back up. Babson has seen his lead disappear and now faces what would seem to be a big defecit on the cards heading into the final two round. It is Babson who needs the knockout, but it was Yellope who looked like he was going to get it. I have no idea how Babson didn’t go down in this round, but he lives to fight the 12th. Babson came out swingin ghte 12th, but just didn’t have any power left to do any real damage, despite landing some clean punches. This fight goes to the cards. Zach Clayton scores the fight 114-110. Roger Tilleman scores it 114-110. Mateo Frattini scores it 114-109, for the winner, by unanimous decision, DAVID ‘THE AMERICAN BEAR’ YELLOPE!!!!!!

Opening Bout #5, from Yokohama Arena in Kohoku-ku Kanagawa Japan. Fight Date: 4/22/2004
Neuq ‘Big Meanie’ Otto vs. Mike ‘Blade’ Tokunaga Both fighters look to be in great shape for this opening round bout, leading up to the crowning of the first FOFC Champion. However, rumor has it that Otto is distracted by some personal problems, and although he is physically fit, the problem is between his ears. The first 2 and a half minutes of this fight were the most boring ever. Otto finished up the round strong to probably take it on the cards, but these guys are going to need to throw some punches out there. Tokunaga comes out headhunting in round 2, and had Otto reeling and reaching for the ropes. With his arms swinging everywhere, Otto was able to land a few crunching rib shots on Blade that took a little steam out of his sails. Still, the round was an easy win for Tokunaga. Both fighters got some nice work down in the 3rd round, but it was Otto who was getting the better of the exchanges and Tokunaga was clinching a lot towards the end of the round. In round 4, it was Tokunaga’s turn to get the upper hand, but out of desperation Otto threw a wild right that connected right into the temple of Tokunaga that sent him stumbling and finally down to the canvas for a 4 count! Otto tried to end it right here, and landed more good shots, but Tokunaga survived the round. In round 5, Blade shook off that lucky punch which dropped him and got back to his gameplan, which allowed him to score solid points and easily win round 5. Early in round 6, Tokunaga continues to go to work on Otto and opens up a nice sized cut under his right eye! The blood on Otto’s face was like a target for Tokunaga and he landed a ton of clean shots. It is amazing that Otto stayed on his feet for the whole round, but the damage has been done as Otto‘s eye is not only bleeding but has swollen up like a baloon! Midway through the fight, the knockdown has to give Otto the lead on the cards, but Tokunaga is closing fast and seems to be taking over the fight. The action slowed down a bit in Round 7, but Tokunaga continues to aim for the badly swollen eye of Otto and landed a few nice punches which caused quite a bit of pain for Otto. Otto’s corner has been able to stop the bleeding, but they cannot get the swelling to go down at all. As the bell rings for round 8, the ref wants to look at Otto’s eye. After a few seconds he tells Otto to save it for another day. The ref stops this fight! The winner by TKO at the 0:03 mark of Round 8 is MIKE ‘BLADE’ TOKUNAGA!!!! Interestingly enough, if the fight had gone to the cards at the time of the stoppage, Blade would have won by majority decision.

Bout #1: Tony ‘Wildfire’ Williams vs. ‘Tuck’ AJ Tucker
Tucker comes to the ring in perfect fight condition. Williams loves to party and rumor has it he had several during his training camp. We’ll see if it affects him tonight. In round 1, the two fighters were just throwing a few jabs, and a few harmless rights to test the waters. Not a whole lot of action, but it probably favored Williams for being the aggressor. Williams came out in round 2 and really worked to the body of Tucker, scoring lots of points and easily winning the round. Even more, he really took a lot of the wind out of Tucker’s sails with the constant body attack. Round three is more Williams. Tucker looks tired already and as his hands start sinking, Williams is going to the head to score points. This fight is still all Wildfire Williams in the fourth round. He does not show all that much power, but he is just picking apart Tucker with jabs and quick rights. Meanwhile, Tucker is having a lot of trouble finding any openings to land a punch. More of the same in round 5. Williams does not even look like he is in a fight. Just punching and running, repeatedly. Tucker looks lost out there. Every round has looked the same so far. Williams is just putting on a boxing clinic tonight, at the expense of Tucker. I would score all 6 rounds for Williams thus far. In round 7, Tucker is finally able to land a couple clean, hard rights, but Williams shrugs them off, goes back to his gameplan, and wins another round. In round 8, Tucker is again able to land some hard rights, that clearly hurt Williams, but Williams again keeps to his plan and out points Tucker in the round. Williams is back to working the body in round 9, and scores yet another impressive round. Tucker is totally outclassed in pure boxing category tonight. In round 10, Williams lands a nice hard jab that splits Tucker’s lip wide open. He continues to do his thing and after 10 rounds, I could honestly see Williams winning every one of them on the cards. Tucker is now looking for the one knockout punch in round 11. Williams is either grabbing and holding him or running out of the way. Williams is more than happy to avoid Tucker for the last two rounds and go to the cards. Tucker again tries to land that one big punch in the 12th, but there is no way Williams is going to let that happen. This fight goes the distance. Let’s get the official decision. Henk Adriaanse scores the bout 117-111. Raul Caiz scores it 117-111. Fred Steinwinder scores it 118-110, for the winner, by unanimous decision…..TONY ‘WILDFIRE’ WILLIAMS!!!!!

Bout #2 of the evening
Rupert ‘King of Comedy’ Pupkin vs. Travis ‘The Reaper’ Elkin. Pupkin is another party type guy and reports say several of his fans saw him out the last few nights. Elkin sparred more than usual leading up to this fight. Hopefully, he did not wear himself out. Pupkin came out and looked to end this fight quick, and he nearly did. If it was not for a few well timed counter punches by Elkin to ward off Pupkin’s attack, we might have been finished already! Round 2 was pretty close, with neither fighter doing all that much. Elkin landed the cleaner shots, so I will give the round to him in my book. Pupkin comes out in the third swinging away again, and this time he lands a huge uppercut that drops Elkin like he had been shot in the chest. Elkin barely gets up to the ref’s 10 count, but the fight does go on. Pupkin cannot finish him off in this round, but it might be just a matter of time now. Elkin looks out on his feet at this point. Elkin is desperate in round 4 and he comes out the aggressor, landing a big right that cut Pupkin open under his left eye almost immediately after the bell! Pupkin regrouped though and fought back hard in the 4th, almost stealing the round back, but I still have to give the nod to Elkin here. Pupkin regains control of the fight in the 5th round. He just pummeled Elkin for 3 minutes. It was amazing that Elkin wouldn’t go down again. He comes out of the round looking like a mess, with a little swelling in his right eye as well. Elkin did not fare any better in the 6th round. He got his lip split open as well as got a lot more damage done to that right eye. Don’t be surprised if the 7th round is the last one of this fight. Pupkin does not come out looking for the knockout here in the 7th. He seemed to be toying with Elkin, backing off when he should be attacking. Still, score another point for Pupkin in the 7th. In round 8, Pupkin lands a crushing shot to the ribcage of Elkin and he goes down for a 5 count. Elkin survives the round, but he is really taking a beating tonight. If Pupkin had any killer instinct tonight, this fight would be over, but he is letting Elkin hang around and Elkin landed a few nice shots to take the round. In round 10, Pupkin continues to target the swollen eye of Elkin and early in the round, the ref halts the fight to take a closer look. It doesn’t look good at all and the ref calls an end to the fight! The winner by TKO at the 1:04 mark of Round 10 is RUPERT ‘KING OF COMEDY’ PUPKIN!!!!!
