NFL Week 6

National TV games:
Denver v. San Diego - Thursday night
Dallas v. Green Bay - Sunday late afternoon
Houston v. Indianapolis - Sunday night
NY Jets v. Arizona - Monday night

Bengals will be going 2-4 thanks to Tom Brady this weekend. Schedule gets MUCH easier after this weekend.

Something just doesn't seem right with the defense this year. So Dallas, Denver, and Pittsburgh are good but they aren't run over your defense like Alabama vs a Sunbelt team good. I wonder if the players are holding back because of the fines and suspensions? Last year I used to cringe at how often they toed the line between good solid defense and dirty defense but I would love to have that fire back.

Meanwhile in the only game that matters this week, its the Kluge twins Super Bowl as the pathetic NY Jets travel to the beautiful Arizona Cardinals on Monday night. Cards have not played since Thursday, which is probably a good thing as it has given Carson Palmer time to recover. They have not fared well against AFC East teams so far this year, going 0-2. But Eric Decker now out for the season giving them one less weapon to beat us. I just hope its not a pre-Halloween nightmare with Fitz and Palmer throwing INT after INT.

Chargers came into the game with 182 offensive snaps while leading, 3rd in the league, and were still only 1-4. Do they blow yet another one?

RIP Dennis Byrd.

Even though I guess it was a 'made for TV' biopic, I found Rise And Walk to be a very emotional movie.

Big injuries this week so far-Big Ben out with an ankle, Beckham out with a hip pointer and now McCoy for Buffalo. His looks like the most serious so far.

Gronkowski taunts Bengals on back to back plays, including the sideline, then gets angry when he gets flagged on his third taunt.

Traveling back to St. Louis from a wedding and listening to Bengals game which is only available on the radio. My god their color guy Scott Zolak is the biggest
homer I have ever heard in my life.

Well, a lot of bettors just cheered or ripped up their betting slip (pats called a time out meaning they couldn't just do three kneels and kill game, and a FG or a TD means the over gets hit.

Why in the world did Rivera call for a lateral play.

Just go with 4 wideouts and go for hail mary.

yeah if you like offense Panthers down 21-0 nothing and come back to tie the game late. Brees throws for around 460 yards and still nearly loses. Panthers really missing Josh Norman.

Redskins defense has not given up a 2nd half TD in 4 weeks, and today only gave up 6 points. A GB win would put the Skins in a tie for first place at 4-2, and they would be 5-1 if Kirk Cousins hadn't missed 3 open TD passes against Dallas in week 2. Joe Barry might be the most surprising assistant coach of the season so far.

I worked into the third shift last night and missed most of the morning games. A friend told me Keenum looked like Brady this morning.

I just don't really know how to respond to that.

The Vegas line read this Chefs-Raiders matchup like a book. Started as a 3 point Raider favorite, but ended up a 2-3 point Chiefs favorite by the time the game started. Chiefs are looking good in the division right now. Only a half game back of the lead with a game in hand and already 2-0 in the division, the only team with no losses in the division.

The Falcons offense in the first half looked lost. The Seahawks defense in the second half looks even more lost.

Unless they're complete idiots they hand him a clipboard until if/when the magic wears off the new guy.

There very well may come a point when Romo is needed ... but that time is not now.

The Seattle defense has given up 4 passing td's all year. 3 are to Ryan today. Ryan threw three td's in the 3rd quarter, first qb to do that versus Seattle in 5 years. Crazy.

If they're smart, he's a highly paid Charlie Whitehurst.

As a Skins fan, I hope Jerry Jones is stupid enough to play Romo over Dak.

You have to call pass interference on Sherman there. The NFL is ridiculous with just how poor the officiating is now.

If that's the best the refs can do, we need to implement instant replay on them. Ridiculous no-call.

What on earth happened to the Lions? They have made a history for decades of losing games like the ones they've won the last couple of weeks. Could very easily be 1-5 instead of 3-3. I'll take it, it's just bizarre.

The officiating has been so bad this year I can barely watch the games anymore. It legitimately feels rigged, or as close as it can get without actually being rigged. The refs are nudging every game they can in a specific direction from the outset and its obvious.

I was listening to PHI/WAS on the radio and out of frustration/disgust uttered "I guess they want WAS to win this one" when getting out of the car after hearing yet another flag called on PHI (don't worry, I was in the driveway and stationary -- I wasn't THAT disgusted).

I suppose the Eagles might just be really undisciplined, but 14-111 last week and 13-114 this week? That ain't fun to follow.

Realistically, if they wanted WAS to win this one, they don't flag Vernon Davis for his basketball shot.

Meanwhile, star player of the team owned by the chair of the Rules Committee gets to audition for the chorus of "Hamilton" in the endzone without a flag.

One would almost say franchise ruining bad. Hopefully that contract is at least team friendly after a few years. He might have a decent arm and be really tall but he doesn't look like an NFL QB in any other way
