Your Alma Mater
What school did you or are you graduating from (or the school of...I had to go to work, asshole)? Not what schools do you root for, but which is your alma mater?
I graduated from SMU (which I know is strange since I grew up in Ft. Worth and root for TCU) (except that lots of you aren't from Texas or at least don't know what I am talking about with the SMU/TCU thing), home of the Death Penalty.

University of Southern California. Only way I could go was because I had a full scholarship for academics. Before, USC actually recruited me (to raise their national statistics for various scores) I didn't know it was possible to get a full ride for academics (I was hoping to get a ride for football before I blew out a knee my Junior year).

I'm currently going to Univ of Kansas. It's my second stint after I went for a couple of years, got burned out, and then worked for a year and a half to get in-state tuition.

After attending Flagler College, a NAIA Division II School in St. Augustine, Florida, for 2 Years and playing Basketball (or shall I say watching a lot of Basketball as I didn't play a whole lot).. I gave up the Hoops Career and moved onto the
University of Central Florida, where I later received my Bachelor's.. GO KNIGHTS!!

DOLA AMIGOS!!
Hey mrushh, I was wondering, concerning the SMU Football Death Penalty, are you aware of any good sites or pages online with the story behind the whole situation/mess? I haven't been able to find too much info except a brief sentence or two on what happened and the end result.. Thanks!

That's what I said...or typed! Most feminine football mascot ever - some guy dressed in a blue kilt and, of course, hose. They regularly make the list of worst college mascots, along with the Banana Slugs and few others I can't recall. I don't even remember how they got the name, to tell you the truth, since I was only there for one year. The school is in Clinton, SC, which was a pit of a place, really. And I got that impression in 1989-90, before I'd ever heard of Bill Clinton. Appropriate namesake, though!
