I've never been in the thread BEFORE the poll has been up before. It's like being at DIsneyland backstage or...like playing Portal at the end.

I really struggled with Dark Night versus Monty Python. One of my favorite superhero action movies versus one of my favorite comedies. Ugh... these choices will need to continue to be made.

Empire vs. T2 is the hardest choice so far. Empire may be the pinnacle of Star Wars. I've declared that T2 is the best action film ever made. Reluctantly, I gave T2 the nod. Great movies.

I used to like it but it's too dated now.

The first one isn't even on the radar of being a good movie. Maybe a good "B-movie"

I think T-2 is still on the shortlist of greatest action flick ever, despite its age. I also totally disagree that the first one is awful. That being said, Empire is the best film of not only an amazing trilogy, but one that defined a genre. Tough to see T-2 go down, but them's the breaks.

I share the difficulty between The Dark Knight and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Both are in my personal top ten...in the end I gave the nod to Heath Ledger's incredible performance because I feel like the gap between Monty Python and its ilk is smaller than that of The Dark Knight.

Brutal matchup between Dark Knight and Holy Grail... but Heath was so damn transcendent as the Joker I couldn't leave him off.

To me, the Heath Ledger was a great performance in a not-great movie.

To me a B horror-scifi movie is going to beat one of the best classics ever made with some of the best acting bar none.

Why? I'm not saying you're wrong, just wondering. The way you describe it, you are openly admitting you are voting for lesser quality.

Wow. I struggled with all 4 of those matchups. Knight/Grail was the toughest, but still ...
