That was a good read.
Did you check out Part 1 of the interview where they talk about the new Stardock game Elemental? That games sounds pretty cool.

Oh, yeah, sure, they're brutally honest if you ignore the fact that Wardell markets a competitor to GfWL. It's like Jobs being brutally honest about Vista's fuckups.

I like Wardell's interviews and think he has interesting things to say and makes solid games.
Reading his blog and interactions he's had on message boards lately have pretty much killed my respect for him. Guy is a borderline lunatic. |

I will take the people's advice and not try to figure out what this guy is saying or what he's about and just hope to enjoy this game when it comes out.
Just being an asshole or a border line lunatic isn't enough to stop me from buying a game.

Oh yeah I will still buy Stardock games as long as they keep making and/or publishing good ones. They've made some of my favorites the last few years.
I just don't hold Wardell in the regard I did before. I think he does his job great and I enjoy reading his thoughts on the industry. I just wish he wouldn't mention politics. I have a pretty easy time differentiating creators from the product. Unless my money is being used to fund some horribly offensive thing, I just want to enjoy my games. |

I'd be more hesitant to buy from an independent developer if they were an a-hole. On a separate note, I assume his douchbaggery is in some other articles? I didn't see anything in these articles that were too bad and I am not that familiar with him.
