When I read the thread title I though this was going to be about some obscure band that I had never heard of but that mckerney loved...

I accept the award with great reverence!
I read the board now and then, but I try not to post much. I spend entirely too much time online already, and getting more actively involved here would be one thing too many, I think. I've been around since the early days, off and on. For those of you who play SimSports basketball, I'm puckfan/cod/codhimself over there. I used to run two teams in League 8, which was originally heavily a FOFC league. Anyone who frequents boardgamegeek.com might recognize my handle from that site. I'm a Wings/Lions/Pistons guy (in that order) from western Michigan. So anyway, that's me. Maybe I'll post a bit more in the near future, and maybe not. Like I said, I'm trying not to get too involved for the sake of my own sanity. |

Excellent news. You should really post more. You are clearly a very wise man, as can be determined by the ranking of your sports teams. Also, there are not enough Red Wings fans around here (a ton of weird Canadians and St. Louis fans) and we could always use more Lions fans. |

You're up do 7700+ posts? Jeez...I've been really tailing off. As an aside....who do I complain to here about these new icons, anyway? Gimme back the old ones.

Dola - for whatever reason, 'Glamorous Mucus' reminded me of the Fabulous Moulah.
Carry on.

Thanks, and I'll see what I can do. Remember, "You're my boy, Blue!!!" The Red Wings are my sports fetish much more than any other team, although that could start to change if the Lions ever get their crap together, or if Bettmann and his cohort of posterior-clowns ever succeed in their effort to drive the NHL out of business permanently. And just so you can all think I'm even weirder than I actually am (which is pretty weird to begin with), I'll clear up the "Glamorous Mucus" reference. Come, come errors of labor. Tease me difficultly, and fax me the remote souls of those I have so gladly indicted with glamorous mucus. Thus Theseus repaired his uterus proficiently. Now then, that didn't really clear things up, did it? Oh well, I've gotta maintain an air of secrecy since I'm the mysterious Lurker of the Year. This makes 6 posts for me this year - definitely some kind of personal record. That's like 0.07 per day or something! |

Primelord, you'll notice on my profile that my activity has skyrocketed to a downright garrulous 0.01 posts/day. This Lurker of the Year stuff is going straight to my head. |

He used the word "garrulous." He's not long for this place.

Nothing to get. That's the point, really. Or lack of point, or what have you. Actually it does kinda sorta mean something, but only to a few people who grew up with me back in the day. And I did use a big word, but I'm not from Ann Arbor. That's a bald-face lie perpetrated by whoever listed it as his address when he used to live in Ann Arbor . . . whoever that might be. Damnit, you guys are slowly roping me in. This is exactly what was not supposed to happen, and why I almost never post. |

so why'd this topic get bumped back up to the frontpage again? Are we looking for another Glamorous Mucus post?

Ever notice how no one from West Michigan on this board still lives there? Schmidty is out on the west coast somewhere weeping, Glammuc here is in Ann Arbor, I'm in Chicago...well, maybe it's not that strange. I mean, it's WEST MICHIGAN!
