Hey SirFozzie -- when would you like to play our game? I'm available most nights after 11, or earlier if I schedule things with some advance notice.

FCS West, if I remember correctly. If we lose this game, I'm pretty much going to stab myself in the face.

Promise? Will we get pictures? Streaming video? (hacks Pumpy's copy of NCAA09 to give his FCS opponent all 99 ratings)

The Michigan at Notre Dame showdown will take place tomorrow night. The winner will take home whatever the trophy is called (and I can't remember what the game is called). Notre Dame will break out the green jerseys for the game. That's right...The Green Jerseys!
Three prospects are in town for us. Once we get through with the Wolverines, they'll be signing the letter of intent to play for the Irish. Last edited by Galaxy : 08-13-2008 at 11:34 PM. |

Speaking of trophies, can we add them to the showcase/trophy room?

Yawn. Clemson beats NC State 41-7...another 35-0 lead in the first half, and then I called the dogs off. No more blitzes, no more 1st string offense or defense.
If I don't walk into the ACC Title Game undefeated, I will be stunned. That means I expect to walk over SirFozzie and his BC Fecals. I will win the BCS Title this season. That is my goal. I don't think anyone can hold a candle to the team we've got, combined with my playcalling. I don't know if recruiting will go so smoothly...but if we don't have the BCS title in our hands at the end of the year, then something went terribly wrong.

While I'm thinking about it, I want to mention that I have a recruit coming in to visit the Metrodome when I eventually play against Kodos' Hoosiers. Kodos, you know you have to lay down for that one, right?

Dex,
Your team looks pretty banged up. Three of the four guys are offensive linemen. Yikes. |

Tough loss to Galaxy in a really fun game. The only annoyance is I was up 3 with 30 seconds left on 3rd down. With single coverage I go for the endzone. I am on the 30 or so of ND mind you. He picks it off in the endzone, which is fine, I figured he might, but of course no one on my team runs towards the ball and he takes it to the house for the win.
Stupid on my part, good play on his, but it's a gripe that will forever be in this game I suppose. Just have to tuck it away for next time I suppose. I can't wait to get some guys I recruit on my team. Running UM's offense is impossible with the QB's I have. My passing QB has no throwing power, and my running QB cannot throw so it's obvious what's happening when he's in the game. Not saying it would've made much differnece today because I made some boneheaded plays but it'll help me balance out my offense a lot more. Last edited by DeToxRox : 08-14-2008 at 10:16 PM. |

It was 3 or 4 yards, the problem was my run game was doing nothing because I had 3 starters on my OL injured for the game. He came out playing the run with 8 in the box so I hot routed the deep ball to my star WR. It was a calculated risk at the time but I do regret it now. Generally I run it no questions ask but I took a chance this time around as he had shreaded me at times with long passes. Definetly felt more confident up 10 then up 6. |

I've had such terrible luck completing long passes, even into single coverage, that I probably would have hot-routed to something short in that scenario. But it is hard to resist going deep when you see that there will be no safety help.

Yes. I always play too agressive, which is a huge problem for me. Moreso today on D though where I got torched because of the damn hit stick being so tempting. I had my break too though. Like when I went to punt on 4th and long and was about to shank it so I just hurridly hit buttons and somehow my punter started throwing the ball instead of kicking it which got me a pass interence call for the first. It was just one stupid play at the end that killed me. Still it was a really fun game that had plenty of drama and I will have revenge next year. |

What a game! Heart-pounding for sure. I wish I could hear and see Dex's reaction on the pick. I threw four picks (I don't have the wide screen HDTV, and two of them I didn't see the defender come in).
Here are the highlights: [IMG] [/IMG] [IMG] [/IMG] Don't you love how my own guy almost screws up the return around the Michigan 45 yard-line? [IMG] [/IMG] Late in the 4th quarter, we take the lead with this pass before Michigan answers to take the lead 38-35. [IMG] [/IMG] With 51 seconds left, on 3rd and 5 (1 ND timeouts), we turn in perhaps the play of the year: [IMG] [/IMG] Stupid lag kicked in for a split second and cause my guy to juke during the run-back. Dex threw an INT in the last drive to seal the game for us. Interesting thing is we had the ball before that drive and I threw a pick. I thought I was done. We're driving and I just tried to forced that pass. I know how you feel about playing too aggressive at times. I do it as well. Last edited by Galaxy : 08-14-2008 at 11:19 PM. |

Oh thats right ha. It wasn't even a fake punt. I hit the right stick on accident so it was gonna be like a 5 yard punt so I was trying to do anything to fix it. Somehow the passing icons came out so I just hit X and somehow got a first down on the penalty. |

Are you sure you had no TO left? If so I regret that pass even more. I was almost positive you had 1 left which is why I threw it ha. If that's the case I am even more upset at myself.

Washington wins it 35-28. Pretty good game that saw UW lead by 2 touchdowns most of the game. They pulled within 7 at 28-21 and we returned the kickoff to the house to clinch it.

3 big recruits coming to see me hopefully beat Ohio State - The #1 QB in the nation, the #3 athlete, and the #2 WR.

So much for the big recruits visiting. Bignej is destroying me. Boeckmen is rolling away from pressure like Dennis Dixon and his blitz packages are forcing me to make a lot of mistakes.
