While I'm not BFF's with MBBF, I think he was highlighting the fact that Cartman is the bacon guy on the board and from Texas, nothing more.

Which wouldn't normally be an issue, except for the insensitivity the myopic self-centered POS showed when she passed.

I must have looked at the wrong thread, because the thread I found about your grandmother passing only had a condolences type of post from MBBF. Not saying it didn't happen, mind you, just curious what exactly you're referring to (maybe it was deleted...).

For reference, here's the post:
Front Office Football Central - View Single Post - RIP: My grandmother and granddaddy I see absolutely nothing offensive about it at all. I think you owe MBBF an apology.

Real interesting time to decide to illuminate us with his actuarial knowledge. You don't think we were pretty goddamn aware of the frailty of my grandfather at that time?
He begins with condolences, then starts the next sentence with "With that said". He didn't want to send condolences, he wanted to interject himself for whatever reason. I didn't say anything at the time, to keep from blowing up in the heat of the moment. But it still pisses me off 5 years later, and his flippant post brought all of that back.

I am not trying to take sides here, but people die. It sucks. Many of us have lost our grandparents and even our own parents. It is a part of life. It hurts. Sometimes you feel that void and there is nothing that can fill it. But you have to be able to move on. Holding a grudge against someone you never met off a message board doesn't do you, or them any good. Please, just be happy you had people in your life that you loved enough to miss. Remember them and smile. Tell someone you love about them to keep a part of them alive even after you're gone. Whatever some asshole out there types really doesn't matter.

Just think if the post was written the other way and MBBF overeacted. This thread would be ten pages long with the usual group of people going off on him. Of course he has brought some of it on himself but in the end it is just a group of adults bullying a guy. We would be pissed if someone did it to our kids but since we are adults hidden behind a keyboard anything goes. I definitely feel for the guy more since we are both Mizzou guys but the fact that a bunch of guys justify being dicks because MBBF is a little overzealous about the PS3, Mizzou sports, and Royals baseball always confused me.

And even more than that, this thread should be about the fact that it has now been scientifically proven that if you eat lots of bacon every day, you're not only guaranteed to live until 105, but you'll still be be active. That's what I took from this. Last edited by molson : 05-09-2013 at 10:13 AM. |

Yeah, so what?, I feel bad for the guy. I teach middle school and notice the same behaviors there. A group of kids picks on a kid. The kid more often than not has anti-social tendencies and/or creates his own problems. (Leaning towards the 2nd for MBBF) We usually explain to the larger group of kids to just ignore them. Sometimes they do and when they don't the school considers it bullying. Didn't think a group of 30-40 year old men needed the explanation of bullying but I can gladly give it you. And the defense I hear on FOFC all the time about MBBF is pretty close to the 12 year old telling me "But he started it" or "He just won't mind his own business" Last edited by panerd : 05-09-2013 at 10:36 AM. |

I have had a sundae with bacon bits in it. With everything so cold in the ice cream, you really couldn't actually taste bacon. They were more like pecans. No idea how that would work in a shake, though.

To my surprise, I found a rolled up chunk of bacon at the bottom of the cup.
