The Constitution and Declaration of Independence
Have you entirely read either one and really paid attention to what was being written? Poll coming.

I took multiple ConLaw courses, so I've read them both thoroughly. Now, whether I remember which amendments are which.... I plead the 4th

Went over the DoI extensively in an American Lit to 1855 class and our biggest papers for a Business Law course involved a very close reading of every.single.section.and.amendment. of the Constitution and its applications to daily life.
So both.

I've done more than that - read some of the history on the development of both documents.

Read both and have viewed the original documents (though the Declaration is no longer very readable due to fading). It's deeply moving to be in their presence, and I'd encourage every American to try to make time to do so.

How you could have graduated high school in this country without having gone through both is beyond me.
Not that my recollection of those classes is all that clear anymore...

Reading and understanding (the latter of which I do not) are two entirely different things. [/law school snob] |

I did for a week. This really hot girl wouldn't stop picking on me, so I went back to home schooling. I guess she thought I was really dumb, because she wrote my name really big on the front of my notebook and than the next day she wrote it on the inside. I wasn't going put up with that shit.

I think the guards would shoot you if you tried to find out. One made a woman put her camera away after she shot one flash photo -- from the line waiting to get into the viewing area. Pictures are a big no-no. |

The Constitution should be required reading for every American child in the public school system. I have read both, although the Declaration of Independence is not my favorite thing to read.
