The tournament continues. As always, "favourite" is left open for interpretation by the individual. A tiebreaker is decided by the IMDB rating (not tournament ranking) followed by the number of IMDB votes for that rating.

Most Votes (one movie)
58 - Back to the Future
54 - Rocky
54 - Forrest Gump

Most Votes (matchup)

53 - The Shawshank Redemption

2 (27-25) - Blade Runner vs. Unforgiven
3 (27-24) - Apocolapyse Now vs. Jurrasic Park

Biggest Shutout
53-0 - The Shawshank Redemption vs. Phantom of the Paradise
48-0 - Goodfellas vs. Infernal Affairs

This was a personally tough round for me, often choosing between classicly great films and more flawed films to which I had more a personal connection.

I mostly ended up rolling with the literal translation for what this tournament is and just picked my favorite, even if it's silly to pick it over the other film.

I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that the Maltese Falcon is beating Cinema Paradiso so handily. Still bummed to see it, though.

The tough ones were Scarface-Vendetta and Amadeus-Nemo. I'm hoping the awful North by Northwest somehow loses.

Hot taek here. I always thought Raging Bull was one of the most overrated movies of all time. I didn't actually get to see it until the mid 90's or so, and all I heard about was how it was one of the greatest sports movies ever. I don't know if it would even make my top 10 of sports movies. I feel like it was trying so hard to be art that it lost semblance of an interesting movie.

I've watched it several times and hated it more on each viewing. Hitchcock is all or nothing for me, I'm not much of a Cary Grant fan either, and North by Northwest just didn't click for me on any level.

I could care less about Raging Bull but its matchup is gonna let it sail through and get on the leaderboard as well

Dramatic much? Second round is hardly "leaderboard."

by "leaderboard" I mean that list of "wins by the largest amount" stuff.

I have no beef with raging bull but it certainly isn't that noteworthy to me to be a "blowout" movie.

Okay, I get that. Of course, it's also I am sure partly because Raging Bull's opponent is a foreign movie most of us haven't seen, but them's the breaks!
