Breaking a streak of over a week, it's time for another poll. Which team do you want to win it all.

Go Mavs!!!

Of course, there's pretty much no chance of them doing so. But I can dream, can't I?

Anybody but the Lakers could be construed as a weak attempt at humor.

Ditto. My preferences out of the remaining 8:

1. Sacramento
2. San Antonio
3. Dallas
4. New Jersey
5. Detroit
6. Boston
7. Philly
8. Lakers

Wow...debated between the Mavs and "Anyone but the Lakers". I WANT the Mavs to win, but I don't think this is their year. I can only hope.

I gotta go for my Kings, I think this year is their best shot...but I have this strange feeling the Lakers will somehow manage to ruin it all again.

And furthermore, any team from the East is the joke option in this poll.

That being said, I hope Boston can somehow pull off a trip to the finals, although I highly doubt it. That's just my Jayhawk bias shining through though.

Tim Duncan is my favorite player in the NBA right now, so I'm rooting for the Spurs.

I was looking up ticket prices and was surprised at what I saw. If you're willing to sit in the nosebleed section, you can catch a Mavs game for $10. A really good seet can be found for $50. I was surprised that these prices were so low (comparitavely speaking). I was looking up Stars ticket prices and the prices were through the roof. I might just find myself making a trip into big D to catch my Mavs. I'll leave the Stars to internet radio.

If they're from Philly, I'll root for them. Go Sixers.

look at all the dominating players from the west. most came from the east. shaq-magic, dirk-bucks, webber-washington, kobe-hornets...the east screwed themselves as a whole. i think kobe is overrated, but he is one of the best SCORERS, not very good at much else. if magic had kept shaq the east would still be dominating and kobe would have alot of points, but NO RINGS.

too bad the wolves couldn't beat the lakers. home court all for nothin' if the kings don't win it this year do you dismantle? could happen...just my thoughts

I want the Mavericks to win, but if not them the Lakers. I love Mark Cuban, but if they can't win, I want to speed up the demise of the NBA by having the Lakers win again.

Iceberg, if Kobe is just a score, what is T-Mac? He's more overated than Kobe on your criteria

bug how is t- mac "just a scorer" he is the orlando magic. he does not have anyone to provide help defense. if he gets beat by his man most likely they score. if kobe gets beat he has shaq to help. this enables kobe to take more chances leading to more turnovers and kobe looking like a good defender. kobe's talanted, but place him on either the 76ers or the magic(minus ai and t-mac of course) and are those teams as good? imo, imo no i just don't think kobe can lead a team. look at the lakers when shaq is down, or out they struggle maybe not always, but alot of the time. minus shaq and you have a 20 win team and the scoring champ.

just my thoughts

Ice, I'm curious, whose role players are better? Lakers have 3 players scoring in double figures while the Lakers have 3 and that third on is at 10 PPG, T-Wolves have 4 players in double figure scoring, as do the Spurs.

Anyone else see that advantage the Lakers had in foul shooting last night? Wait, they didn't. So much for the Lakers-Kings matchup theory huh?

could you just retype this? i can't follow. if you are saying that the lakers have the WORST role players then...i might agree, but t-mac is orlando as is garnett minn. shaq is THE most dominating player. he cannot be stopped. combine that with one of the top 5 scorers then you do not need very good role players.

Shouldnt you have to do a little more than getting the 8th seed in what is considered by many a watered down conference, followed by a 1st round exit before all these top player comparisons start. Where would the Magic have been if they played in the West. They may very well have been the 20 win team you are tagging Kobe with.

Is McGrady a great player? Absolutely. Has he been truly tested in clutch situations. If game 7 against Detroit is any indication it wasnt good.

I was comparing role players ice and I think Brad said it best. The Magic would have been exactly like the the Warriors have been previous this year. Jamison taking all the shots. A Kobe led Lakers probably would have done no better then the Magic did this year in AAA division for BB.

Like I said before, where are the conspiracy theorists? Wait, they dont watch BB except for the one game where the Lakers get some calls

yeah all that conspiracy talk is well...BS i think. the talk should be how in consistant the refs are. not just with stars, but star teams. plus they have admitted to calling the playoffs different than the regular season. there is so much inconsistancy WTF....i don't know.
