US Soccer pioneer Ahmet Ertegun dies

First Hunt and now Ertegun . Sad day for American soccer. I know most of the stories are going to focus almost solely on his running of Atlantic Records, but without him, Warner Communiciations probably doesn't found the New York Cosmos and big soccer boom of the NASL years (with Pele, Chinaglia, Beckenbauer, etc) doesn't happen... and that most likely prevents the rise of American soccer in the 90s, with players who became fans due to the Cosmos and the NASL.

R.I.P Ahmet

I remember seeing him in the Cosmos movie... it is too bad, but he was getting up there.
