Congrats St. Louis

I really dislike finishing with the best record, its doom waiting to happen.

OOTP playoffs are always so random. Rarely do the top two teams make the finals, though the odds are better here obviously. You have to get in and pray. Great season in Washington, regardless.

The 2062 FOOL-X Classic is set!

The St. Louis Hops face off vs the New York Legends. A revival of what was once one of the greatest FOOL-X rivalries of all time, when the two clubs faced off three straight times almost 60 years ago, behind the great names of Huerta and Teng.

St. Louis returns to the Classic for the first time since 2015, having not won a championship since they won three straight vs this New York team. Despite being in the playoffs the 5th most of any franchise in league history, St. Louis historically has been one of the most snakebit franchises over time, with a 3-10 record in the Classic and tied for the fewest titles of any team that has been around since 1961. The Hops are hoping that new ownership are able to turn their luck around.

New York stands on the opposite side of the spectrum, having more titles than any other franchise in league history (14) and one of only two franchises with more than 10 championships. The defending champion New York Legends are looking to win back to back titles for the first time since they did it in 2028, and to become the first Republic Team to do so since Cleveland did in 2035-2037. The Republic League have only won 3 of the last 12 Classics, but the Legends are looking to try to restore a new RL dominance to the Classic.

Yes, that is right sports fans, despite not seeing a single At bat this season, Hector Palmeiro will be returning at the age of 44 once again next year as the only current major leaguer that is older than players in the old-timer games.

Dola,

Only two current players in the league are older than 40 years old. Palmeiro and Allen Hunt. There are only 14 players in the league currently older than 35 years old.

The new file is up, congrats to the champs!

The new offseason starts on Monday, but the sim will run later than normal. I am out of town this weekend, and return at some point on Monday.

Lets say exports are due by noon on Monday ET, and I'll run it as soon as I get home (whenever that is). If it gets too late, we may have to adjust the schedule next week accordingly.

Have a great holiday weekend everyone. Happy 4th of July for those in the U.S. and happy Canada Day to our northern friends!

What have I done? I brought Lynchy into the league and he's already winning?? Pfft....

And don't worry about simming Monday if you can't get to it Alan! I'm sure no one will mind on a holiday.
