Fantasy Football Week 2 "Who should I start?" thread.
I'll start...
Two of three running backs... Edge vs. Seattle Julius Jones vs. Washington Jamal Lewis vs. Oakland If Lewis is playing (and indications are that he is), I'm leaning towards Lewis and Jones. Is that crazy? Last edited by digamma : 09-15-2006 at 03:46 PM. |

I'm starting Ronnie Brown and Chester Taylor while leaving Edge on the bench this week. Part of Seattle's success against the run last year was the fact they were up in most games during the second half forcing the other team to pass more, and I can't see Arizona's defense duplicating what Detroit did last week.
That and with the addition of Peterson and the hopeful return of Hill this week, Seattles front 7 is very good against the outside run though they can be exploited up the middle at times. Arizona's line however does not seem like they're going to take over the game and enforce their will on the interior tackle rotation that the Seahawks use though. I just can't see him suddenly turning around what's been a brutal ypc average so far with the Cards this week. Never mind the fact that Seattle better be ahead by 14+ midway through the third quarter taking away carries for Edge. Maybe if he breaks a long screen pass or something, but other than that, just doesn't seem like a good matchup. |

I'd take Ronnie Brown and Chester Taylor over Edge as well, but with Jamal's injury questions lingering this week, I'd start Edge over Jamal.

Personally I would go with Lewis and Edge. Even if Arizona does get down early Edge can still be very useful catching the ball. Seattle will provide better coverage than SF did so you will see more check down throws to James. I agree he may not run for 120 here, but I don't think Jones will be all that effective either.
Edit: FWIW all indications are that LEwis is going to play. Last edited by primelord : 09-15-2006 at 04:20 PM. |

My two "who do I start" issues come in with receievers on two teams
I need 3 of each group: Wayne, Jackson, Coles, and Stallworth Fitzgerald, Jackson, Coles, and Bryant I'm leaning towards the first three in each but Bryant and Stallworth both have pretty good matchups and Coles does not (NE). SI

Brees against GB or Warner against Seattle?
Digamma -- Edge and J. Lewis -- you can't sit Edge on the bench...I don't care who he is playing. Sterling -- I would start Wayne, Jackson, and Stallworth and Fitz, Jackson, and Coles on the other. |

Rowech -- I would go with Warner against Seattle. My problem lies with our ability to switch out 1 RB for a wideout (going 4 wide). So here's my dilemma. RB LaMont Jordan vs. Baltimore, RB Kevan Barlow vs. NE or WR Reggie Brown vs. NY Giants. |

Brees just hasn't quite looked right so until he does, I think he's a bench candidate. On the other hand, I just don't see Arizona being ahead of Seattle for much of the game so there will probably be quite a bit of second half passing so I'd do Warner in a heartbeat. SI

Which 2 should I start?
Ahman Green vs. New Orleans Lamont Jordan vs. Baltimore Thomas Jones vs. Detroit I'm thinking Ahman Green for sure. The Packers know that a solid running game is their best chance to win. Jordan and Jones is where it gets tricky. Detroit held Shawn Alexander to 50 some yards last week and we all know what Baltimore did to Tampa and Cadillac Williams. Chicago is going to run no matter what because it's their style so I'm leaning towards Jones. If the Raiders get behind again like they did last week they'll have to go to the pass. Any thoughts? |

Jackson vs. Moulds I started Jackson... Moulds did nothing and Jackson has a TD already in the 1st quarter, woohooo!
