José García put together some impressive numbers for Noblesville to garner enough votes for the Continental League Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award.

The Millers right fielder took the honor by hitting .275 in 161 games this season and finishing with 171 hits, 33 home runs, 101 RBIs and 101 runs scored.

Abel Baldwin put together a sparkling rookie season to snag the Republic League's Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award for 2181.

In 162 games, the Toronto first baseman hit .315 with 200 hits, 16 home runs, 88 RBIs, 50 walks, 99 runs scored and a .394 on-base percentage.

Baltimore Hurler Wins CL Gabriel Prado Award

The Continental League made the official announcement today. The 2181 Continental League Gabriel Prado Award has gone to Jorge Herrera of Baltimore.

He had a superlative season, chalking up a 25-6 won-lost mark with an impressive 2.56 ERA.

Herrera logged 33 starts, threw 242.2 innings, yielded 206 hits, struck out 204 and held the opposition to a .230 batting average.


RL Names White Gabriel Prado Award Winner

The Colorado clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year Brad White will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2181 Republic League Gabriel Prado Award.

White made 33 starts this year, winning 14 and losing 10. He threw 218 innings, fanned 192, allowed 197 hits and 59 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .244 average as he logged an impressive 2.68 ERA.

Noblesville's Gómez Takes 2181 Hideaki Tanaka Award

Noblesville's Fabián Gómez put the wraps on a fine campaign today by winning the 2181 Continental League Hideaki Tanaka Award.

The 26-year-old veteran scorched the opposition with a .361 average, picking up 227 hits, 33 doubles, 4 triples, 34 home runs and 117 RBIs, while scoring 122 runs.

Eric if its done already you don't have to delete them. We aren't going forward any days so it should be fine. In other leagues I'm in its caused issues so I was being safe is all. We'll worry about it later, if it causes an issue when/if the time comes.

I unistalled the patch that was released because of an issue with injuries but since we don't use injuries its not an issue for us. I was testing for a different league that ran into the injury bug. FOOL doesn't use injuries so we are fine in this regard. Link to the download is below. Let me know if you guys are all good.

The draft went as planned for the Catfish.

I didn't want to draft more than 30 Mil in salary. I ended up with 22 Mil. SP Jose Sanchez (formerly of Noblesville) is the bulk of that at 8 Mil per for 4 years.

The main goal was to get as many under 30 players as possible that are making very little. Doing this it gives me the freedom to suck for a couple years or try to go after some big free agents and compete right away. Not sure which route I'll take just yet.

Had four players poached in the draft. A decent outfielder that had been serving as my 5th of for a few years. I am actually happy he left as I have a new youngster to bring up.

An ok pitching prospect but had some numbers that likely would scare me too much to consider seriously.

I lost a middle infielder who can hit ok but no fielding so not upset there, but I did lose a relief pitcher that I had just snagged from chief in free agency. Was hoping he would slide through but oh well

Surprisingly I did resign one potential free agent I hadn't expected and arbitration didn't side with me, so I have a little too much salary tied up for this year and a big hole to fill that I have to solve
