Anyone tried TurfWar?

Guys,

I know there are a lot of fantasy football players here that would be interested in TurfWar.com. I have been playing for the last couple of weeks and it is a blast. They are looking to boost up their amount of players, so if you sign up you will get 4 free credits to play this weekends games. They give away $25000 every week, so take a chance this weekend! I have already won $2000 on this site and I have not paid a dime.

Also, visit the site I help contribute to (http://www.ffauthority.com), where I help pick the challenge questions for TurfWar.com.

Right now, invite your friends and you too can get referrals (and a percentage of their money if they win)! Please click on this link (TurfWar.com) so I can get my referral bonus as well.

BTW, watch the Turf Talk video. You will find Sarah VERY NICE!

Thanks for your time and enjoy playing!

Ryan

I like the curls in her down hair. She throws a football pretty pathetically though.

Oh what the hell. You should've stated this in the original e-mail.

That was maddening--I went over each line letter by letter several times.

So, how did everyone do this week?

I finished like this:

EARLY - 194 pts - 3rd in subleague - 70th overall
LATE - 239 pts - 1st in subleague - 24th overall (only 9 pts out of the money)
NIGHT - 214 pts - 2nd in subleague - 255th overall
ALL GAMES - 281 pts - 3rd in subleague - 88th overall.

I see one of my referrals won 2 subleague games. I am guessing it is MikeVic?

EARLY - 187pts - 1st in subleague - 110 overall.
ALL GAMES - 256 pts - 1st in subleague - 173 overall.

I see I still only have one credit left though... it says you get 2 credits by finishing first in your subleague? Is this only true for paying customers?

So, how did everyone do in week 12?

I finished like this:

EARLY - 130 pts - 7th in subleague - 457th overall
LATE - 171 pts - 9th in subleague - 428th overall
NIGHT - 121 pts - 4th in subleague - 438th overall
ALL GAMES - 214 pts - 1st in subleague - 34th overall

So, 4 more credits to keep playing. Plus, one of my referrals from this board (Duh Rexies) won $500 for finishing in 3rd place in the Night games! How did everyone else do?

RIP Sean Taylor My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Yeah, I saw you on the leaderboard. I was rooting for you!

I was on the leaderboard of the Early games until halftime, then quickly sank.

Since I joined on your referral, does that mean I don't actually get to collect the money? And if I do, how do I do it?

You absolutely get the money (I am assuming you are Duh Rexies?). TurfWar will send you a form soon to fill out and return to them. Then, your check will be mailed to you. You will get the full $500 and I get an additional $100 for referring you.

I did alright, but I still only have 2 credits... I haven't gotten paid an additional 4 like I should have. It's usually only taken the one day for them to credit me...

LATE - 207 pts. - 1st in subleague - 12th overall
ALL - 189 pts. - 2nd in subleague - 59th overall

So has anyone gotten their winning credits yet? You can sign up for new games already, but i still haven't been credited the credits... not sure if I should contact their "info" department, as that's the only e-mail I can find.

I don't know what the heck is going on. I am starting to think the site is shut down as none of the new entries are up yet for this weekend's games.

It's too bad if that happened because I think the concept is great. They just didn't seem to put in the time to keep the site maintained (stats and injuries haven't been updated in weeks, player news section is from Week 2, etc).

For those who are playing TurfWar, here is the latest that is posted on their site:

We are in the process of reformulating our Turf War contests. Because of the amount of time required to complete this work we will be unable to offer our contests for the Week 14 NFL games. Please look for our relaunch Wednesday December 12th.

So the good news is, they are coming back. I have no idea what "reformulating" is, but we'll have to see.
