Damn DT, doc was telling me that I was a little young to be going into them at 44.

Your eyes must be somewhere in the range between my wife & my son. Her correction is like (if I'm doing this right) 900, his is like 400-500.

They make fun of me for wearing glasses at all.

I tried to give my employer a $108 break on an expense report (basically, I left some things off on purpose), and I got bitched at for it. So now they'll have to pay me the $108. I'm pretty stupid.

I actually need to go to the eye doctor soon. When I do I'll let you know what my new prescription is. Basically yeah...I can't see for shit. Give you a real world example.

Without my glasses, 1440x900 resolution, normal font size...sitting at my desk here with the monitor in the middle of it...take off my glasses and i can't even read the text of the series of links at the top of the post (FOFC > Main Forums > OffTopic > Randtom Thoughts). Just looks like a line of blue lettery-shapes.

Before LASIK, I wouldn't have even seen blue lettery-shapes. It would have been more like a long hazy, blue cloud thing, if that. I still have my old glasses and look through them from time to time to remind myself just how bad eyes were. I pretty much start getting a headache after about 0.7 seconds of having them on.

I just woke up from a nap. I rarely remember my dreams, but the last thing I remember before waking up is that I was hanging out with Mark Cuban at a strip mall, he wanted to leave b/c someone was annoying him, I convinced him to stay by promising to kick the guy's ass if anything went down. Then we went into a Dunkin' Donuts and ran into Louis CK. I knew him too and introduced the two, at which point I learned they were big fans of each other and they were both very grateful I introduced them.

Then I woke up. I watched the season premiere of Louie earlier today, but still... doesn't get much more random than that!

I noticed a lizard on my hood about a half mile from my house so I pulled over and let him get off on some bushes. Got home hours later and I saw a snake by my front door, what kind of karma is that.

Last night I had a dream that I was in the kitchen of my house growing up, discussing Thanksgiving dinner dishes with Diane Sawyer. My family (wife and kids, not brother and parents) was out of town and I was cooking for myself. She seemed to feel a little bad for me that I was spending the holiday alone. At one point I was bent over the sink and she leaned her back on my back. Dunno why.

I bowled 14 games last night, and I bowled 10 games tonight. My thumb hurts so badly, I can no longer grip a bowling ball.

Is it pumpy that says "what is this I don't even..." ?? MJ4H??

I think that's an appropriate response here.

...

Ok, some googling shows that you are talking about show on WE, Womens' Entertainment, with the following description:

Quote:
Brides spend up to $75,000 for an Amsale gown, and the women who work in Amsale's salon are just as extraordinary as the dresses themselves.

Every day, they deal with the non-stop pressure of pleasing some of the most discriminating Manhattan brides. Outside of work, these 30-something women are best friends, who support each other through good times and bad. But it's all in a day's work when you're an Amsale Girl.

To each his own, but.. WOW, really. Really? REALLY???

Nothing is worse then being between the two drive thru windows at McDonalds and realizing that the car in front of you is going to take 10 minutes to get done.

Tonight some drunk guy was having a disagreement about his order with the manager at the pickup window. This went on for at least 10 minutes. I am the second car in line and have already paid, so at this point I am pretty much screwed. My ability to get food in a timely fashion is now being decided by a drunk guy and a 19 year old McDonalds manager.

Yeah, I know. I wouldn't spend $75,000 on a bridal gown either if I was a chick.

Well, the more expensive the bridal gown/wedding ceremony, the happier the marriage is - everyone knows that.

So after yet another 'net outtage today (thanks again AT&T), life was apparently too easy ... so I'm now fighting some nasty ass pc virus (win xp repair virus in case you're curious). Sitting here waiting for malwarebytes to finish scanning, which seems to be planning to take roughly forever.

Sometimes I have bad thoughts, like the people who pay $75,000 for a dress should be shot. The people who sell the dresses should be shot. The people who run the network that airs a show about people buying $75,000 for a dress should be shot. And the people who watch shows like that that cause said makers of said show to profit off of people who buy $75,000 for a dress should be shot.

I've had this same bill more times than I cared to admit to. I'm to the point where I'm straight paranoid about getting the pads replaced early.

Well, that's for parts....I don't have to pay for the labor, which would have probably doubled that.

So I decided a week or two ago to start rewatching The West Wing, and I just recently saw the episode where they go to Iowa and CJ is amazed by the butter cow and last supper sculptures. I go to Yahoo today and one of the headlines is that the actual lady who made the actual sculptures just died. I love weird little coincidences like that.

Saw a dead raccoon on the road to work this morning. It was lying there, right in the middle of the road where the lines divide the two lanes. I thought, "Damn, he almost made it" and then I had a vision of the Rams/Titans Super Bowl where the receiver for the Titans almost scored that last second touchdown, but, didn't. Which got me thinking that the lockout really needs to end soon.
